It’s strange; at the beginning it felt like time went super slow, but as each month has gone by, it’s sped up rapidly. I think part of it is because milestones are coming thick and fast, and her interaction with us continues to grow. This is the seventh time I’m recording one of my “Top Lessons” podcsats. I always flick through the previous installments to get a feel for where I was, where I’ve been and if I’ve learnt from the past. Oftentimes I see lessons from 7 years ago that feel timeless, and will never get old. Sometimes I look and cringe at what was going on in my life, and the clear influence it had on my thoughts. I’ve yet to get to the end of a year, since as long as I can remember, and think life isn’t better than it was a year before. At least on my own scorecard. Ep 360 - Hall Of Fame | Nisha Vivek: From Stage 4 Cancer To Photoshoot As A Vegan Mother Of Two!

At only 36 years young, she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. As a mum with two young children, Nisha and her husband were shaken to the core. Fortunately, after gruelling chemotherapy, her body fought it off. At this point, Nisha wanted to get strong, focus on her health, and give herself more “me time”. Ep 357 - Hall Of Fame | Premila Vekariya: Fit, Healthy & Abs At 50! (Beating Menopause & Cholesterol)
10/10/2023 Duración: 52minPremila’s only regret with joining RNT was that she waited 3 years. When she joined RNT, she’d just turned 50. All her life, she’d been really active: frequently running 10 miles and cycling large distances. So she never thought she would need to join a fitness programme. She was of the firm opinion that as long as she exercised and ate well, she could manage on her own. And then, two separate instances made her pause and reconsider. The first was a photo taken at a restaurant of herself with a friend. She was shocked at how she looked! The second, was hearing about a friend in his 50s (as fit and active as herself) having minor heart issues on a hilly bike ride. And that’s when it struck her, she needed support if she wished to improve her health metrics. With no more hesitation, she signed up and gave it her all. And her results have been incredible. Like many others, he made the mistake of overestimating his muscle mass and underestimating how much fat he carried! The truth was, Lockdown had done a real number on Nikhil’s health. Being sedentary with too much food and not enough exercise resulted in a steady weight gain for him.
