I believe the single biggest reason for inconsistency on a diet is our inability to manage our stress and emotions, and then resort to food or drink as a result. Emotional eating can show up in many ways, from high pressure work situations, to relationship arguments, to simply boredom and bad habits. And according to a “Stress In America” Survey conducted by American Pyschological Association, 38% of adults have overeaten in the last month due to stress. Interestingly, our own data from a public survey we’ve ran for the last 6 months reported 77% of participants had an episode where they regretted eating as much as they did in the previous month. Dhiren had many all at once, including the birth of his son, and a serious word from his doctor. At 120kg just shy of 50 years old whilst being borderline pre-diabetic, he was told if he didn’t lose weight he’d have a heart attack before 60. What’s worse is the doctor said it’d probably be fatal. Dhiren had one thing on his mind: to watch his son grow up. And knowing RNT was the only place to get in shape and most importantly, learn how to stay in shape, the next step was obvious.
