Joey Burbs is a Chicago-based singer, songwriter, and producer. He began playing piano at the age of 7 and released his first original project, The Redshirt EP, in 2015. Since then, Joey has developed a unique, genre-blending sound combining organic pop melodies with soulful hip-hop and R&B beats. I was a release manager for other bands for several years based in London. When there was time, I was in and out of bands myself. After a break, I built a studio in France and now split my time between the UK and France. In 2018, I started writing again, enjoyed it so much, I then pulled in many session musicians to add extra parts. The result is "Istor". Although I love many non metal genres, I always wanted to put out a heartfelt 80's style release in the vein of classic artists such Dio, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden. The Real Sea formed in September 2018 after Eric Sakmar (Show Pony), Christopher James (Host Skull, Life in Bed) and Sean Finn (The Red Western, Life in Bed) found a kindred spirit in vocalist / guitarist, Sharon Mok (Tiny Rhymes), a recent Pittsburgh transplant from Buffalo, NY. The band draws their sound from such diverse influences as dream pop, shoegaze, indie rock, folk and math rock with a strong emphasis on melody and rhythm highlighted by chiming guitars and Sharon’s lilting vocals.

Within a year of their first show, pop duo Jacob and Fanny had already been signed by industry legend L.A.
