  • 069 - Ty Morn [Metal]

    09/05/2019 Duración: 18min

I was a release manager for other bands for several years based in London. When there was time, I was in and out of bands myself. After a break, I built a studio in France and now split my time between the UK and France. In 2018, I started writing again, enjoyed it so much, I then pulled in many session musicians to add extra parts. The result is "Istor". Although I love many non metal genres, I always wanted to put out a heartfelt 80's style release in the vein of classic artists such Dio, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden. The second album is written and demos have begun as two labels are keen to hear further material. Featured Song Name: Bring Forth The Night

  • 068 - Magnetic Spacemen [Garage Rock]

    09/05/2019 Duración: 15min

Magnetic Spacemen is a high energy garagerockband with a high energy liveshow. Expect a combination of garagerock, wet surfpunk and melodic and grainy rock & roll. Writing a few phrases about the guys from Magnetic Spacemen, you can pull all cliches about a young, fresh garage/punkrock band out of the closet. But that doesnt matter here. These gents are an example for several starting bands when it comes to their enthousiasm and stageperformance. Frontman Sam Pols has the potential to grow out to a high-profile frontman. He has the guts and a good head for punk and makes people laugh and have fun. Featured Song Name: MOLD

It’s a sound and show that is gaining steam world over as The Rad Trads continue to tour in support of On Tap, out now from Hornblow Recordings. Featured Song Name: Good Luck Unto Ya

  • 062 - Mattson 2 [Psych Jazz]: May 8th at Lincoln Hall

    07/05/2019 Duración: 19min

The Identical twin’s deep telepathic kinship navigates colourful forms of beautiful weirdness and exotic landscapes of layered improvisation, transcending the concept of modern musical performance. The duo shimmers and shakes with the soaring modern wizardry of Jared Mattson’s untamed, layered guitars and Jonathan’s tribal jazz hard-bop drumming – a marvel of jazz-rock orchestration and arrangement. In April 2017, Chaz Bundick Meets Mattson 2 album “Star Stuff” found itself at #1 on contemporary jazz Billboard Charts. The brothers Mattson paid tribute to Japanese legends like Shintaro & Ryuichi Sakamoto, and Haruomi Hosono on their Spring 2018 release “Vaults of Eternity” (via Carpark).“Mattson 2 Plays A Love Supreme,” (Spiritual Pajamas, 2018) is a future jazz mini symphony that shines a light into a hallway of mirrors to cast eternal reflections directly back onto the ideas and purpose of Coltrane himself, whilst challenging the very boundaries of jazz and modern pop. Reid to Epic Records and worked alongside heavyweights such as John Hill, Dave Cobb, Diane Warren, Ali Tamposi, Amy Wadge and Greg Wells. However, after going independent, the duo teamed up with producer John Cunningham [XXXTentacion] who distinctly captured the couple’s chemistry on their debut EP — highlighting each voice and marrying acoustic instrumentation with synth drops and drum programming.
