Comprised of jazz-school graduates and Emo scene veterans alike, the group exploded onto the midwest indie scene in late 2017 with two back to back EPs, ‘Consolation Prize’ and ‘Castro’. In the short time since their inception Old News has already carved out a niche for its experimental, genre bending take on Emo and Math-Rock, all the while opening for scene darlings like Elephant Gym, The Obsessives, and Perspective, a Lovely Hand to Hold. After completing their first US tour in support of ‘Castro’, the band immediately returned to the studio to begin work on their newest release, ‘Hands Like Glaciers’- out February 2nd, 2019.
