  • The Reality About All Of Us - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tue. 3-4-25 - #1498

    04/03/2025 Duración: 05min

I found this post that connected with me right away and I’m hoping it connects with you too.  (@Lovandfear).  It’s all about the truth that none of us are easy to be with at times. But if we have people around us that look beyond our “issues” … and hopefully we do the same for them, that’s a winning connection for life. The key is that we realize the fact that we don’t want to let ego or pride get in the way of those great relationships that help to make life awesome!  Thanks for listening.  Please take a few moments to subscribe & share this with someone, also leave a 5 Star rating on Apple Podcasts and ITunes or other services where you find this show.  Find me on Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/coachtoexpectsuccess/   on Twitter / “X”:  @coachtosuccess   and on Instagram at:  @coachjohndaly  - My YouTube Channel is at: Coach John Daly.   Email me at: CoachJohnDalyPodcast@gmail.com     You can also head on over to https://www.coachtoexpectsuccess.com/ and get in touch with me there on my homepage al

  • Three Powerful Words - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 3-3-25 #1497

    03/03/2025 Duración: 05min

I love the fact that I have connections to so many educators that make a difference every single day with the information they share with the world.  Coach Ray Ostrowski (@CoachRayO3313) is one of the many difference makers that I am proud to be connected with as he shares this powerful reminder:  “Be real. Be honest. Be truthful. It can’t just be about making friends. The best leaders are the ones that will keep it real & tell the truth, no matter what. You can’t worry about hurting feelings or what people will think. Mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it won’t matter.”  It seems we are in a world now more than ever before, where telling the truth is not held to a high standard. Many parts of society seem to not only tolerate lies, lack of character, no integrity, etc., but to them - it’s celebrated. My message, thought, cry to action is the total opposite. We all need to be real, honest and truthful. The old saying is - “be the change you seek in the world.” This is something that it seems has never b

Found a great post and even better reminder to start my week off from Damon West (@damonwest7) where he reminds us of an important lesson that connects with is book, “The Coffee Bean”. In today’s world we need this reminder for sure, or at least I do: “Be the coffee bean that makes a difference, not the one that gets changed by the world around you. #BeACoffeeBean.  He goes on to share some powerful thoughts on resilience. This is good… “Resilience isn’t just about surviving the storm; it’s about thriving once the clouds clear. Be the coffee bean that changes the water, not the one that gets softened or hardened by the events going on around you.”  There are a lot of “events” going on around all of us - take this thought to heart, and look to thrive through all of it. The world needs us to keep getting better in all things that we do & a big part of that is living our best life and being a difference maker for others. Don’t let the world dictate if you are a carrot or an egg - be the coffee bean that helps

  • Stay Connected To Both - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Fri. 2-28-25 #1495

    28/02/2025 Duración: 08min

I found a deep connection to this post from Gratitude HQ (@gratefuledu64) “Let’s be #grateful despite ‘bumps in the road’!”  It’s all about remembering to “count your blessings without denying your problems.” Having gratitude is something I try to have a bit of every single day. I’ve noticed many times when problems, worries, anxiety, etc.,  come up (and they always do throughout life), I tend to focus on those a bit longer & forget about the gratitude part. If I can blend the two and I know that one will at times be bigger than the other, but they play an important part with each other. Having gratitude helps me to at least keep moving forward with the problems I face - but it helps me to ask for help, find solutions, think about past issues that I got through, etc. The key is that I don’t get bogged down and stop living my best life, getting all worked up about the problem I'm dealing with. Hope you find some good thoughts and insights from this as well.   Thanks for listening.  Please take a few m

  • Grow Through Life - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Thurs. 2-27-25 #1494

    27/02/2025 Duración: 11min

I found a powerful message today from Mark Hickie @MPHickie) where he shared this thought:  “A message for today … Everyday is a chance to learn & progress forward. Don’t just get through your day, make each day spectacular. Embracing each day as an opportunity to grow & learn can really change how we experience life. Every small step forward adds up to a greater you! There is another part of this post from Quotes Cafe, but this was a good start to share with you on how we can have the choice to “grow through life” and not just go through life.  I shared this also with some basketball people earlier today. • Without Courage - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 2-26-25 #1493

    26/02/2025 Duración: 05min

A very short and meaningful post that I found and it got me thinking. This came from Tim Ferriss (@tferriss) “Without courage we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. We can't be kind, true, merciful, generous, or honest.” — Maya Angelou. This is one thing for all of us to try and continue to invest into ourselves, having courage is something we can use in so many areas of life.  I think it’s connected to having a good relationship with yourself.  Following through on promises you make to yourself - as I’m learning I need to keep working on - really helps to instill more and more confidence in yourself.  That translates into having more courage to take on things that happen throughout our lifetime.  Thanks for listening.  Please take a few moments to subscribe & share this with someone, also leave a 5 Star rating on Apple Podcasts and ITunes or other services where you find this show.  Find me on Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/coachtoexpectsuccess/   on Twitter / “X”:  @coachtosucce

  • Four Important Words - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tues. 2-25-25 #1492

    25/02/2025 Duración: 07min

Found a great post that reminded me about what we need more of in the world. This came from Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) “There are four very important words in life: love, honesty, truth and respect. Without these in your life, you have nothing.” I saw this and thought This connects with “be the example you wish to see in the world!” We may not have many examples of this in the media… but we can be this for others (and ourselves) to see!! There are so many “non-examples” of these four building blocks that we need to be the ones to show this to others. How about it? Share this one to help others see the importance of these four words. Thanks for listening.  Please take a few moments to subscribe & share this with someone, also leave a 5 Star rating on Apple Podcasts and ITunes or other services where you find this show.  Find me on Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/coachtoexpectsuccess/   on Twitter / “X”:  @coachtosuccess   and on Instagram at:  @coachjohndaly  - My YouTube Channel is at: Coac

  • Ability To Change - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 2-24-25 #1491

    24/02/2025 Duración: 04min

A very simple, yet powerful message from Reads with Ravi (@readswithravi) with this quote that I know I want to keep getting better with.  “The measure of intelligence is the ability to change.” — Albert Einstein.  A really quality life reminder for all of us, from one of the smartest people that ever walked the earth.  Since things happen fast in life and usually things are changing at a faster rate now than ever before, one thing we can do to improve things is to get better with our own ability to change.  It helps us to take a little more control back in our lives. I know I need to get better at handling changes and creating my own change that will benefit me. Take this quote to heart and check it out and see how you can benefit from connecting to it.  Thanks for listening.  Please take a few moments to subscribe & share this with someone, also leave a 5 Star rating on Apple Podcasts and ITunes or other services where you find this show.  Find me on Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/coachtoexpectsucc

  • Understand Life - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1490

    24/02/2025 Duración: 12min

Great post with some three powerful reminders to help us to understand life a little bit more. It comes from Book Therapy (@Book_therapy223) where it’s mentioned that - “You have to visit 3 locations to understand life: the hospital, the prison and the cemetery.” There are many connections to each of these three as just about most people can quickly understand each of these places. I know that it gets me thinking about life a bit more and I hope that I can share some connections that will get you thinking too. Email me at: CoachJohnDalyPodcast@gmail.com     You can also head on over to https://www.coachtoexpectsuccess.com/ and g

  • Take Control - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Fri. 2-21-25 #1489

    21/02/2025 Duración: 04min

Found another powerful, yet simple reminder that I needed to connect with and I’m hoping it helps you as well. I found this from Reads with Ravi (@readswithravi) and this quote is here to remind all of us to be reminded to take control a bit more in our lives.  “In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently.” — Tony Robbins  Hope this helped you as it got me thinking about intentionally choosing more of my choices every single day & to create better habits each day so that I go in the direction that I want to go in.  Thanks for listening.  Please take a few moments to subscribe & share this with someone, also leave a 5 Star rating on Apple Podcasts and ITunes or other services where you find this show.  Find me on Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/coachtoexpectsuccess/   on Twitter / “X”:  @coachtosuccess   and on Instagram at:  @coachjohndaly  - My YouTube Channe

  • Be A Champion - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Thur. 2-20-25 #1488

    20/02/2025 Duración: 05min

Had to share this important reminder for all of us, because all of us come across feeling like this many times throughout life.  Inky Johnson (@inkyjohnson) gives us some things to connect with this statement: “A champion is made on the other side of I don’t feel like it.” I think it’s important to remind ourselves that we need to define what being a champion means to ourselves, and not really have to follow other people’s definition. We also need to realize the importance of having that definition to work on for ourselves too. One thing for sure, there are always things to work on ourselves - that’s what makes our life journey so great (just one of many things), we always have something to do towards helping ourselves become the person we were meant to be!  Thanks for listening.  Please take a few moments to subscribe & share this with someone, also leave a 5 Star rating on Apple Podcasts and ITunes or other services where you find this show.  Find me on Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/coachtoexpects

  • Life Rewards - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 2-19-25 #1487

    19/02/2025 Duración: 05min

Two things that tie in Coach Dusty May from the University of Michigan Men’s Basketball team. It all has to deal with what life rewards us when we do things the right way.  The first comes from The Winning Difference (@thewinningdiff1)  "The game rewards the guys that have a great attitude and that show up and work when it's not about them. Because that's actually what equates to the real world stuff." The game and life reward effort, discipline, and commitment. That’s how real winners are made. Such a true statement - sports and life!  The second part came from Hoop Herald (@TheHoopHerald) - “Win or lose with grace and humility” - Dusty May.  Since life has plenty of ups and downs, for all of us - this is great advice for us.. Even if we don’t play basketball. I love being reminded about lessons in sports that connect with life!! • Tribute To People That Helped - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tue. 2-18-25 #1486

    18/02/2025 Duración: 09min

Recently, Coach Tom Izzo, head coach of Michigan State men's basketball team, became the winningest coach in Big 10 history with 354 victories, passing Coach Bobby Knight. He gave plenty of interviews and I watched the game as well.  He showed a lot of emotion as he realizes this is not about him. He gave tribute to all the players that have played for him, the staff, the fans, the university presidents that he has worked with, etc. He got me thinking & reflecting about some things. I re-posted one of his clips with this thought:  “Awesome tribute to many other people that helped him do what he does. Helps me to reflect with gratitude for all the people in my life that have helped me… good stuff here.” This episode is my attempt to get us all to think about the people in our lives that have helped us do what we do along with the person we have become. Emotions flowing for this one.  Thanks for putting up with me.  Thanks for listening.  Please take a few moments to subscribe & share this with som

  • Invest To Build - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 2-17-25 #1485

    17/02/2025 Duración: 06min

I saw a recent post from Jon Gordon (@JonGordon11) where he reminds us about this important point we all need to connect with. It comes from his book “The Carpenter” where he shares this: “Invest in relationships not because you want something but because you want to build something!” This is something for all of us to go through life being focused on. Life is all about relationships and with those relationships that we invest in, doors open up to so many possibilities. Email me at: CoachJohnDalyPodcast@gmail.com     You can also head on over to https://www.coachtoexpectsuccess.com/ and get in touch with me there on my homepage

  • This Impresses Me - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1484

    17/02/2025 Duración: 08min

This episode is coming from Mark Hickie (@MPHickie) and he’s sharing what I think is something I needed to get my focus back on for sure.  He shared: “A message for today …What impresses me most is one’s humility, authenticity & care for others. Being a good person impresses me more than one’s material wealth or status. We need to value deeper & meaningful qualities in people which lead to more lasting & genuine connections.”  I needed to see this to get me back on track to what’s really important in this world. Not what the “popular view” is, but that there are some things that are much longer lasting than the flashy, loud, overwhelmingly negative towards others, etc. I hope this helps you to get a few things back on your radar to value as being really important to have in life.  Thanks for listening.  Please take a few moments to subscribe & share this with someone, also leave a 5 Star rating on Apple Podcasts and ITunes or other services where you find this show.  Find me on Facebook:  http

  • Championship Mindset - 3 of 3 - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Fri. - 2-14-25 #1483

    14/02/2025 Duración: 09min

I get this newsletter from “The Daily Coach” and it always has powerful lessons about leadership, life, sports, and it really translates to lessons for all of us to use in our daily lives. If you click on the link above, you will find that there are three people responsible for this great information being shared. Michael Lombardi, who has been a part of championship programs in football; George Raveling who was a longtime basketball coach and loves teaching leadership lessons; and the third person is Kimati Ramsey who is connected to supporting teams and individual athletes with their mental health. A winning trio that helps people to see life lessons through sports. This is part 2 of 3 looking at a Championship Mindset and they are focusing in on “Jalen Hurts led the Philadelphia Eagles to a dominant 40-20 victory over the reigning back-to-back Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, also taking home MVP honors. This wasn’t just another win—it was the culmination of a journey filled with trials, setba

From the newsletter: “Turning losses into lessons - “This isn’t just a story about a quarterback winning a championship. It’s about life testing a leader over and over again—and that leader continuing to rise, inspire, and compete when it would have been easy to give up. Leadership and life guarantee challenges. • Deploy Empathy - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tue. 2-11-25 #1480

    11/02/2025 Duración: 08min

It’s amazing when you are needing some advice, lifting up, positive reinforcement, etc., that’s when you find it. In a post, a video, something you read, or hear from others. I found this post from Gary Vaynerchuk (@garyvee) that reminded me about others that are “slinging mud” around to so many people, are really hurting deep down inside. Gary’s message is for us to remind others about this too. Here is his post that went along with the video clip of him talking with someone that had a question on this topic: “The people who hurt you are hurting the most .. have love for them ❣️ please pass this onto someone who is struggling with the negative feedback on their page or in life .. it’s time to deeply empathy for the one who is deploying the negativity or hurt, you have the strength to do this. ❣️”  I think this is right on target for what’s happening so much more now it seems around the world. I know I needed this reminder.  Thanks for listening.  Please take a few moments to subscribe & share this with s

  • Accept Both of These - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 2-10-25 #1479

    10/02/2025 Duración: 05min

These two items are good to take on all throughout life. It was posted by Art of Thinking (@Art0fThinking) and it says:  “Accept both compliments and criticism. It takes both sun and rain for a flower to grow.” It’s a reminder for all of us that there are plenty of sunny moments in life (happiness, love, things are going well, we feel good, etc.) along with plenty of rain moments too (negativity, anger, not feeling good, pain, struggle, awful people, etc.)  But life is full of both and we can (and should) use both in order to grow.  It reminds me of what my good friend, Dr. Joe DiPonio has said plenty of times to so many of my students and others - “life is all about not getting caught up in having too many high highs, or having too many low lows.” It takes a little bit of both to help move us along in life.  Thanks for listening.  Please take a few moments to subscribe & share this with someone, also leave a 5 Star rating on Apple Podcasts and ITunes or other services where you find this show.  Find me o
