Never Regret This - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 3-26-25 #1518
26/03/2025 Duración: 06minSaw something that got me thinking really about a simple, yet powerful thought - just keep trying to do things the right way!! Kylie Riordan (@mindfulheal) reminds us to “Never regret having a good heart. All good things come back and multiply.” I figure there are so many examples of what not to do in our lives - those examples are all around us really (and yes it’s sad, but true), that we can’t help but to get better when we focus on doing more of the right things. I know I can keep getting better in things I need and want to do and I know my future self will be glad I did those things now. Thanks for listening. Mindset Message - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tue. 3-25-25 #1517
25/03/2025 Duración: 05minSaw a great post from yesterday that really fits every day! I need to keep things like this on my radar every day as many of the things that are out there on a daily basis are things that I don’t want any part of. From Jon Gordon (@JonGordon11) - “#MindsetMonday Don’t worry about tomorrow. Just win today. Then win the next day and the day after that. That’s how you win the future. Day by day.” Some things happening all the time, every day are so many negative posts, attitudes, actions; full of anger, hate, looking to destroy rather than build up, etc. So for me, part of my having more “wins” each day, is first of all not letting all of this “crud” get in my way and that takes some work each and every day. Make This An Advantage - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 3-24-25 #1515
24/03/2025 Duración: 06minHere is another one that I found with the theme of always trying to get better. From Kevin DeShazo (@KevinDeShazo) “A stressed mind leads to inconsistent actions. A calm mind leads to consistent actions. Win the mental battle. Make your mindset your advantage.” The mental battle of life is something that I am at least more aware of now that I’ve been connected to more information about its importance and how so many people don’t pay attention to that importance. It’s something we all can improve at since it’s our own individual mind that we are talking about. One of the big problems is that we are so busy trying to deal with a stressed and cluttered mind that we don’t connect to things like this. I need to keep working on having my mindset be one of my strengths and not something that I have to fight with. Thanks for listening. Keep Learning - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1514
24/03/2025 Duración: 09minI found two great posts that share a very important message for all of us, especially in today’s age (and really any point in time). First I found this from Mindful Maven (@mindfulmaven_) where this quote was shared: “Those who keep learning will keep rising in life.” - Charlie Munger. Being a lifelong learner is something that always has more positive benefits than if you think you know it all. The second post I connected with was from Maxpein (@maximumpain333) where this powerhouse statement was shared: “The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.” - Alvin Toffler. Powerful thoughts for me to keep at looking to get better, each and every day! Those that stay in old beliefs, old ways of thinking, old bad habits, old ways of treating others, refusing to be a bit more open-minded, etc., those are the people that will struggle in so many multiple ways as time goes by. I, for one, do not want to be one of those people. Do

Saturday Special - Incident Offers Perspective - 3-22-25
22/03/2025 Duración: 11minWent through something a little scary on Thursday, on my way to the hospital for a scheduled surgery. On our drive there, we heard on the radio about an “active shooter” situation at the hospital. Everything in the area was shut down and there was a very heavy police presence in the area. We were maybe 5 minutes away and we quickly pulled into a nearby shopping center parking lot to figure out what we were going to do. So many thoughts raced through our heads and as we got home we had a lot more time to see how lucky we were for things not being worse, both for us personally but also for the incident itself. Lot’s of perspective about things in life and sure had us reflecting about current things going on. Hope this helps you too to take a look around with a different perspective too. Tough People - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Fri. 3-21-25 #1513
21/03/2025 Duración: 05minI found a great post that reminded me that I need to be more “tough”. The Winning Difference (@thewinningdiff1) shared this thought from Kansas State University Men’s Head Basketball Coach, Jerome Tang: "Tough people do the next right thing. Guys, when they mess up, they have to do the next right thing." Champions don’t dwell on the last mistake— they dominate the next decision. It connects with the WIN principle (what’s important next). This got me thinking about being more “tough”, when it comes to doing the next right thing - especially when I mess up and need to fix things. To me, it also means doing the next right thing with my health, my relationships, my finances, my passions in life, etc. When you look at it this way, we all need to be a little bit more “tough”. Powerful Ripple Effect - Daily Thought - Thur. 3-20-25 #1512
20/03/2025 Duración: 07minAnother post that gets me thinking along with the timely manner in which I saw this - I needed to be reminded about kindness with everything that is going on around us. Mark Hickie (@MPHickie) strikes again with this message for all of us. His thoughts on the post are: “A message for today … Kindness has such a powerful ripple effect. Every small act can make a huge difference in someone's day or even their life. Let kindness guide your heart & actions today & always. Strive to make the world a better place one person & act at a time.” I think we all need to take this message to heart a bit more (especially here in the USA) and the little things we can do that help others is a big key for making a difference in these trying times. I know I need this and will try to be more of an example for kindness in order to make a difference for me and for others. Mitch Albom’s recent podcast that I mention in this episode - having to do with sacrifice, really helped me with this message as well. Chec

Confidence In Ourselves - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 3-19-25 #1511
19/03/2025 Duración: 03minI found something that again, got me reflecting a bit on some thoughts. This one from Psyche Wizard (@PsycheWizard) with a great reminder for me (and hopefully you too) to simply look to keep working hard each and every day for ourselves to be better than we were the day before. “Confidence isn’t thinking you’re better than everyone else, it’s realizing you have no reason to compare yourself to anyone else.” I think there are way too many people that do way too much comparing to what others are doing. It serves us well to not play the comparison game - it keeps us from accomplishing great things. Another thing for me, is that when I follow through on my promises I make to myself, my confidence goes up! I need to keep doing this. Thanks for listening. One Moment - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tues. 3-18-25 #1510
18/03/2025 Duración: 06minFound a post from Mind Essentials (@Mind_Essentials) and I saw this: “Sometimes it takes 10 years to get that one year that changes your life.” As I thought about it, it really hit me the truth to that idea in my life, but also for it taking a long time for even one special moment to come available for us. The importance for all of us to keep looking to make good choices, create good habits and to keep looking to improve - that will help in those special moments to come our way. The opposite is true as well - making poor choices, have a long history of bad habits and don’t care to get better, well then many not so good moments will come our way for sure and we may never, ever see that doors even present themselves for the possible good moments. Make Days Count - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 3-17-25 #1509
17/03/2025 Duración: 05minFound a very simple quote - yet powerful - from one of the greatest champions of all time - this comes from Reads with Ravi (@readswithravi) “Don't count the days, make the days count.” ― Muhammad Ali. I’ve been trying to live more in the moment and looking to do things that I need to do so that my days can stack up as great days. When I start taking my eyes off of current moments and start focusing on future or past things, I lose the opportunity to do anything that is under my control in that moment. Little things like this can help me (and others) to make more of their days in life, count for special days, and do special things. Thanks for listening. Bring Effort - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1508
17/03/2025 Duración: 07minPicked up a video from Coach Marshall Faulk where he was connected through The Winning Difference (@thewinningdiff1) and they shared this thought from him: "How you do one thing is how you do everything. Effort requires no talent. Hustle requires no talent. You don't have to be the fastest, the strongest, or the smartest to give effort. If you bring effort, watch what it brings to you." The little things matter in life. This has nothing to do with playing sports, but playing the sport of life!! We don’t need any special talent to do these things, but it does take work to get better. That’s my plan for sure. Thanks for listening. Prepare For Your Future - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Fri. 3-14-25 #1507
14/03/2025 Duración: 07minThis came about from a podcast I was listening to from Jon Gordon (@JonGordon11) where he interviewed Major League baseball player and manager, Clint Hurdle (@ClintHurdle13) and they had some great discussions that really connect to life and not just baseball. Listen to the podcast HERE. Powerful reminders about how our past can really help with our future, if we pay attention to it. This connects to something I really believe in and share all the time throughout my teaching, coaching and podcasting careers… “our past is our best mentor.” I’m fired up about this episode and I hope you check out these two great difference makers along with the podcast link too. Sacrifice - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Thur. 3-13-25 #1506
13/03/2025 Duración: 06minI found a very cool looking picture of a quote that was on an fluorescent orange colored note card from Hoops Companion Resources for Coaches (@Hoops_Companion) - where it goes way beyond being just for basketball coaches and players, this is for all of us trying to live our best lives! It reads “If you don’t sacrifice for what you want, what you want becomes the sacrifice.” Sure got me thinking about things that, even if they are not bad things, I need to put less focus on if they are keeping me from accomplishing things I really want in my life. Something great for all of us to connect with and reflect on. Thanks for listening. Entertain This Thought - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 3-12-25 #1505
12/03/2025 Duración: 05minFound something that got me to sit back on do some reflecting on this message. It comes from Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) “What if things work out even better than you imagined?” It really comes down to at least trying to do something or more than one thing, and realizing that by simply trying, it could indeed work out just like you thought it would. Maybe even it could end up being better than you thought. WOW.. wouldn’t that be great?? Powerful stuff to realize the possibility of learning something even if it doesn’t work. It's Never Too Late - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tue. 3-11-25 #1504
11/03/2025 Duración: 05minFound a powerful and important reminder from Mind Essentials (@Mind_Essentials) that says: “It’s never too late, you can change your routine, your personality, your career, your focus, your circle. You can change, don’t stay stuck, do better.” I’m an example that it really is never too late, in fact there are plenty of older people that have proven this to be true! Another key point - there are much younger people that prove you don’t have to be old and have a bunch of “life experience” in order to make changes. Doing better is an individual choice. We don’t need anyone else’s permission. I love this mindset of always trying to do better, not that anyone else, just better than what I was yesterday. Thanks for listening. Life Lesson On Change - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 3-10-25 #1503
10/03/2025 Duración: 04minFound a quick, but powerful life lesson from Mind Essentials (@Mind_Essentials) - “You can’t go back and change the beginning, But you can start where you are and change the ending.” I know for me I do tend to beat myself up a bit about my past mistakes but I’m realizing more and more as I age that I can only deal with where I’m at right now in my life. I’m much better off to realize that I need to take the lessons from my past and apply that knowledge to where I’m at now so that my future can be better. Again, our best mentor is our past!! Types of Rest - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1502
10/03/2025 Duración: 08minFound a good list that I know I need to pay attention to a bit more. Seek Wiser (@SeekWiser_) came out with this list of 7 types of rest. Some good ideas for all of us to get some rest in the areas of: Physical, Emotional, Mental, Sensory, Social, Creative and Spiritual. Some good thoughts here where I add my two and half cents to them as well. I know I will be focusing on these items to get more rest. Thanks for listening. You Are Needed - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Fri. 3-7-25 #1501
07/03/2025 Duración: 08minOne of the shortest, simplest and most uplifting posts that I saw was from Mind Essentials (@Mind_Essentials) where they shared a reminder to us that “your presence in this world is no accident. Light Candles - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 3-5-25 #1499
05/03/2025 Duración: 04minI was reminded by a post from POSITIVITY (@PositivitySaid) “A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle … keep on encouraging one another.” I’ve shared this thought about candles before, but I love the second part. Yes.. we do need to encourage others more often for sure. The world needs us to do this more and more. I will try to do this and I hope you will too. Thanks for listening.
