Tap Into Your Younger Self - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Fri. 9-26-25 #1677
26/09/2025 Duración: 13minStill hanging onto John O’Leary’s podcast that I shared yesterday. If you need the link again to check out this episode - click HERE. It’s a great episode to listen to again and I’m zeroing in on one of the questions that John asks all of his guests. They are called the Live Inspired 7 and I’m focusing in on is #2: “What is a characteristic or trait that you possessed as a child that you wish you still exhibited today?” You heard what DeVon’s answer was. This podcast I started to jump into what my answer(s) would be and I’m also throwing this question out to you too! After you listen to this episode, you will know what some of mine are. I’m interested in what your answer might be to this question. Let me know. Thanks for listening. Effort Never Betrays You - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Thur. 9-25-25 #1676
25/09/2025 Duración: 09minSaw a great post from Jim Shapiro (@jimshapiro) where he shared this: “The future belongs to the consistent. Not the talented, not the lucky, but the one who shows up, even when it’s hard. Show up. Effort never betrays you.” Loved this! Just keep showing up. Whatever it is we have to do! This also connected to what I listened to John O’Leary sharing on his podcast with his guest, DeVon Franklin, who was in the movie “Soul On Fire”. You can check out the movie with the link. You can also check out the link to the podcast HERE. In this podcast they go through a lot of great lessons that tie into this post and John does this while he’s interviewing Devon. Dedication to Patience - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 9-24-25 #1675
24/09/2025 Duración: 07minFound a post from a relatively new source and I’ll make sure you understand what this is about and what it’s not. The source was Philosophy of Ages (@PhilosophyAges) and what they shared was this: “A millionaire once said: People don’t have the patience to dedicate 3 years to building their own business, but they do have the patience to work for others for 40 years.” Now one thing for sure, it’s not about making a ton of money. It’s all about having the patience to dedicate to yourself. To keep investing in yourself. To become the best you can become. It’s something to keep working on all the time. Plus, another thing… you want to spend 40 years doing something for a career, make sure you love getting up for it every day!! Find whatever lights that spark inside of you. Have the patience to do just that! Thanks for listening. Rising In Life - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tues. 9-23-25 #1674
23/09/2025 Duración: 05minI found a great post that ties into something else that I saw this morning and it all centers around the importance of always learning. Reads with Ravi (@readswithravi) shared this thought: “Those who keep learning will keep rising in life.” ~ Charlie Munger. This was also connected to another post that I saw this morning with a quote (even though I butchered the thought) from Brian Tolentine, M.Ed. - “Students need to read books. Entire books. Our society is distracted, unfocused, and in a hurry. A curriculum that rushes through content perpetuates the anxiety of our time. Reading a book (slowly and leisurely) is a countercultural act.” We are all students in life and life is always a teacher. Keep investing in yourself. When we are at our best, those around us benefit too. The world needs us to be our best! Thanks for listening. Live Generously - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 9-22-25 #1673
22/09/2025 Duración: 06minSharing some great thoughts with you today from the legend, Jon Gordon (@JonGordon11) where he reminds us in his “Mindset Monday” post, that “It’s better to give than receive. Yet some people are reluctant to give because they don’t feel like they have enough. That’s a scarcity mindset. When you give, you find abundance. The more you give, the more you receive to give away. Be a giver! Live generous today!” The more we keep working on ourselves to be our best, we will have plenty to give away. Remember, it’s not just money. It’s our time, our listening, our laughter, our smiles, our help, etc. Things like this get me so fired up because I’ve seen it happen for me - especially lately. I’m glad I’m finally learning how important this is. I’ve had glimpses of it before throughout my younger years, but not the clear understanding on how awesome this is. Keep at it my friends. The world needs you at your best!! Thanks for listening. Please take a few moments to subscribe & share this with someone, also le

Success Grows Quietly - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1672
22/09/2025 Duración: 08minLeaning on this guy a lot lately and his message today is one that all of us can make a personal connection with. It comes from Mark Hickie (@MPHickie) and he shares these thoughts about the quote he connects this with. Mark's thoughts are: “A message for today … Success isn’t always instant or visible. It’s built in the quiet hours, when no one is watching. Every bit of effort, every act of dedication adds up. Even when recognition seems distant, keep showing up—your breakthrough is closer than you think.” There are so many things that we are doing in life that don’t get noticed by others. Remember, that’s not what we are looking for. What we are looking for, I think, is that WE notice the little things we are doing AND we understand that we just need to keep working on them, keep doing them, keep learning new things to help us to keep going. Also remember that when we keep at the things, the habits, we keep getting better. To me, that is success. You being at your best means you are able to make a di

Readjustment Day - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Fri. 9-19-25 #1671
19/09/2025 Duración: 09minI had a start to my day where I was trying to connect with something better than what was swirling around in my head. I let the “doom and gloom” stuff going around in the world today, get to me. But like before, I knew it was happening and I set out to choose to do something about it. A gratitude walk sure did help this morning along with a couple of other things. First came from Coach Ray Ostrowski (@CoachRayO3313) - a former student and now an outstanding teacher and coach himself. He shares this: “New Day - New Opportunity - Today is a new day. It does not care about what happened last week. It does not care what you plan to do next week. Today is a new day & a great opportunity to get better. Always be thankful and grateful for a new day. Make the best of your opportunity.” Perfect for me today! Next up was a post from Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) “Stay hopeful. You never know what tomorrow may bring.” Again, a message to help me readjust my day, which we all need once in a while. Another c

Life's Already Hard - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Thur. 9-18-25 #1670
18/09/2025 Duración: 07minFound a powerful post from Mind Essentials (@Mind_Essentials) where the quote was shared on the side of a building. (like it’s that important for us to see it) The quote? It’s right here: “Life’s already hard, I don't wanna be around anyone who makes it worse.” )The quote comes from @bestmemory.) This point has already been on my radar for as long as I can remember. I’ve always said that life and other people will make life hard - why would I make it any harder for myself. Now that doesn’t mean that I have it all figured out and I haven’t always listened to this quote. I struggle too. I just hope and plan to not keep struggling with this. I will still work on not letting myself help the world and others that cause troubles!! Then I will also be working on not causing myself problems too. Thanks for listening. Significance Over Security - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 9-17-25 #1669
17/09/2025 Duración: 12minIt’s been awhile since I have shared something from John Maxwell’s “Daily Reader.” This is from September 16 and it deals with Significance over Security. It gets us thinking about settling for security (and in today’s world, that sounds great with all of the crazy things going on), but it also gets us thinking about how significant we are in our lives. It’s a mind shift to our purpose and our life’s mission. Doesn’t matter our age or where we are in our lives, we can always make the shift he shares in this. This has been on my heart, on my mind and in my actions for a long time. I just need to turn up the heat of me going after this now in my life. How about you? Thanks for listening. This Is Running Out - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tues. 9-16-25 #1668
16/09/2025 Duración: 06minSaw a post that was funny, sad, but (to me) very true! It was from “Echoes of the Past” and the quote was an image of an older cowboy sitting on a horse with a slight smile and he is saying: “I guess they had to invent artificial intelligence since real intelligence is running out.” My first thing I did was have a little smile and chuckle, but then quickly went to a kind of sad feeling. But, I do feel the part of “real intelligence” disappearing quite fast. My thought is to invest in yourself in “human skills”. Those skills that (I think) technology cannot replace. For sure, learn about AI and other intelligence things, but don’t let them replace your human skills. That’s the key! Thanks for listening. Life Throws A Lot At Us - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 9-15-25 #1667
15/09/2025 Duración: 11minI found a great connection with some understanding and uplifting items that I needed today, and it all came from Mark Hickie (@MPHickie) where he shared his introduction to post today: “A message for today … Life isn’t always fair — but that doesn’t mean you have to give up. Refuse to be ruled by negativity. Stay strong, stay positive & keep moving forward. You are capable of achieving far more than you believe.” This got my attention right away as I saw that I was letting life beat me up a bit lately. The post that went with his intro, solidified why I needed this today. Check this episode out a few times as the more I spoke, the more things I started connected to it and people that provided some of those great connections!! I found some awesome reflections here with this one and I hope it helps you reflect and make some deep-rooted connections to what you need to do in your life. A big thank you for listening to this one. Thanks for listening. Please take a few moments to subscribe & share this wi

Consistency and Discipline - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1666
15/09/2025 Duración: 05minI found a couple of posts that gave me this idea to put these two powerful things together. First from Dear Self (@Dearme2_) where it was shared that “Consistency looks like nothing is happening, until everything changes. Awesome piece to hold onto and to keep being consistent every day we can. The second piece came from Psyche Wizard (@PsycheWizard), who I have connected with many times before and today’s message was this: “Discipline will carry you to places motivation can’t.” These two connections to our success are there for us to connect to and make a part of our own success formula! Make them your own!! Keep at it! Don’t give up! Don’t give into the crud happening in the world today!! Oh… sorry… those things were directed at me. LOL Thanks for listening. Just Keep Battling - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Thur. 9-11-25 #1664
11/09/2025 Duración: 08minSuper post that I found that I know I have to work on each of these points and I dare say, others need this too. Deep Psychology (@DeepPsycho_HQ) shared this thought: “Your competition isn’t other people. Your competition is… Your bad habits, Your distractions, Your insecurities, Your fear, Your ego, Your procrastination, Your lack of discipline!” I can add so many other items to this list for sure. This is a great discussion to have with yourself and keep battling, every single day, to focus on getting better in all of these areas. Again, the world needs us to keep getting better so that we can be difference makers for others. One thing I know for sure (and some days I need to remind myself frequently) that it’s all worth it! No Age Limit for Leadership - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 9-10-25 #1663
10/09/2025 Duración: 09minThe Daily Coach Newsletter / Podcast always has wonderful and life-changing lessons. It’s not just for sports either - they are of course for life! This was right from the notes on their podcast: “In this episode of The Daily Coach newsletter in audio form, we revisit and spotlight the incredible journey of Erin Matson — from four-time national champion at North Carolina to Head Coach of the UNC women’s field hockey team at just 24 years old. Her story reminds us that leadership isn’t about age or tenure, but about passion, knowledge, and the ability to elevate others.” I have heard about this coach and watched some news clips about her and the great part that jumped out to me was that leadership is for any age - but it needs to have these parts: passion, knowledge and elevating others. I think you mix in hard work, humility and the ability to connect with others with being authentic and great things can happen. The podcast you can listen to HERE. Thanks for listening. Invitation To Say Yes - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tue. 9-9-25 #1662
09/09/2025 Duración: 10minA very inspirational lesson that I connected with from John O’Leary (@johnoleary.inspires - On Instagram) or his website: https://johnolearyinspires.com/) he shared this post that came from his podcast episode yesterday - find it HERE, where he reminded us: “Today, I invite you to say yes to invitations and interruptions you may not have planned for. Because the real gift we bring for others isn’t our resume, achievements, or awards. The real gift is our presence.” This got me thinking of so many things about me saying YES to more things that will benefit others along with myself. The other part I focused on with this episode was what John mentioned towards the end of the podcast. It’s also about us saying NO to those things that distract us, that hold us back, our fears, those negative things around us, etc. To me, that is something that I need to do even more. Let me know how you connect with these things - especially after you listen to John O’Leary’s podcast, episode 809. One last thing - PLEASE check ou

Part 2 of Lessons From A Legendary Coach - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 9-8-25 #1661
08/09/2025 Duración: 08minMore lessons from Coach Al Fracassa along with the connection to this post: Gratitude HQ (@gratefuledu64) Who shares this thought: “Let’s make miracles happen today!” Where it goes on to share - “Sometimes miracles are just good people with kind hearts.” Coach Al was one of those good people that we can learn lessons from. Make sure you check out Brad Galli (@BradGalli) and find out a little bit more about his story. But you can also check out his story on Ch. 7 here in Detroit. Same link I had in the previous episode. Lessons From A Legendary Coach - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1660
08/09/2025 Duración: 17minPowerful lessons from a coach of a bigtime rival of my high school. But this man, Coach Al Fracassa was an indirect difference maker for me through others that he connected with during his long journey at Brother Rice High School (@BroRiceWarriors). Big shout out to my friend Matt and his wife Jennifer and to Dr. Joe DiPonio too! Check out this link HERE for a bit more about Coach Al Fracassa. The message here is to simply find the lessons from people like Coach (those people with their lessons are all around us) and find what you can put in your tool belt to be a difference maker for others in your own way. The world is crying for people to have real leadership skills to help others! Here is the link to my post from 11 years ago too. Find it HERE on my website. Thanks for listening. Keep Moving Forward - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Fri. 9-5-25
05/09/2025 Duración: 03min(This recording was from a Facebook Live video.) Found a great reminder for all of us and it came from a quote that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. shared so long ago. I found this to be so true for me and then, as I remembered it’s not all about me - I knew that each of us have things going on in our lives, that we simply must keep moving forward and do what we can do. The quote said: “If you can’t fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” It reminded me that I have so many reasons to not give up along with simply just keep moving forward with the things I have to face, get to do, in my relationships, everything! How about you? Just keep moving forward with things going on in your life! Thanks for listening. Listen to Silence - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Thur. 9-4-25 #1658
04/09/2025 Duración: 05minI found a very simple post, but yet it reminded me how powerful this can be for all of us. We have to work at finding this a little bit more in today’s crazy world, but it’s worth it. Kylie Riordan (@mindfulheal) reminds us to “Listen to silence. It has so much to say. ~ Rumi. There are times where I do connect to silence, in fact recently I have done this. She’s right. There is plenty to connect with from being in silence. The older I get, the more I know that there is plenty to learn in silence along with plenty of other times where I do want to fill my time with music, “noise”, etc. I do love this reminder that it doesn’t have to be awkward all the time. How is it for you?? Thanks for listening.
