Motivation Monday Game Plan - Take The Time - #443
24/08/2020 Duración: 06minRecently I took the time to go out to have lunch with my parents and my sister for our dad's birthday. We met at one of their favorite places to eat and had a wonderful time. I did a Facebook Live video before I left the parking lot to drive home and I wanted to share it with you here. We need to take the time for things that are important to us. We have the same time in a day that we have always had, now it's just a little bit different as to what we are doing with our time. Hope you like this one. Always feel free to reach out and send me your comments & questions. Thanks for listening. A Role For Everyone In Our Life - #441
19/08/2020 Duración: 08minHad a great message from a good friend, Tricia Miller sent this to me - A fantastic reminder about the fact that there is a role for everyone we meet in our lives. Not only does it get me thinking about the people in my life and what I've learned from them, but also - what can other people say about me? What have I done to make a difference for others? It helps me to take a look at the man in the mirror again and to really reflect upon what value do I bring to others. I hope this quick message helps you to find a mirror and look at who is staring back at you and to ask that person some questions after you listen to this episode. In fact, get back with me and tell me what that person said to you. ;-) Thanks for listening. Motivation Monday Game Plan - Inspirational Text - #440
17/08/2020 Duración: 05minGot a couple of texts from Gary Vee, and I had to share them with you! They were all about loving yourself & being self-aware of the great things we can choose to do for ourselves. Not because anyone else did the same, or to make our parents proud (which is not a bad thing in and of itself) - but doing things for you!! That's why I think it’s so important to know yourself. Know where your heart is. Know where you have your passions in life. Know the people in your life. Take advantage of the day we have TODAY to do something great, something you know you want to get done. Heck, something you know you must get done. Today and any day is a fabulous day to start to do this for yourself now. Thanks for listening. A Ray of Hope Discussion With Ashley Scheetz - #439
15/08/2020 Duración: 55minOne of the biggest blessings I have going for me are the many students that I get to connect with throughout my 31 years of teaching so far. Ashley Scheetz is one of those former students of mine, that has also become a teacher. So many of my students have become "teachers" in they teach this teacher many lessons that I know I need to have in my life. You will see in our discussion that she is such a difference maker with everything she does. This conversation shows her heart is in the right place, where she is looking to be a servant leader - especially for women. She shares stories with us today where it reflects the passion and confidence she has for life - I know we all can use more examples of that to learn from. She is such a fabulous advocate for people which the world needs more of for sure. Ashley is a proud Central Michigan University Alumni - another reason I got "Fired Up" for this interview. I hope you enjoy the lessons she offers here today. If you are interested i

Worry Is Not A Good Investment - #438
13/08/2020 Duración: 08minA lot going on today on top of all the things going on in our world, it can get overwhelming a little bit at times. I did a Facebook Live video where I mentioned some things that are on my mind a bit. Worrying is something that I do, but I try not to let it get out of hand. It started piling up a bit the morning when I thought about a few things differently and I wanted to share with you some of the insights and thoughts that I got from all of this stuff going on. The podcast that I was listening to that I talk about here is from Jon Gordon where he talks with Lecrae. You can listen to it here: https://positiveuniversity.com/episode/lecrae/ I think we all get overwhelmed at times, especially in the crazy times we are all in right now. But there is hope out there. There are good things to get connected with and I hope this helps you do some of that. Thanks for listening. Motivation Monday Game Plan - Put The Work In Now - #437
10/08/2020 Duración: 08minI wanted to throw a couple of things at you to start our week off. I got this text from Gary Vee, he said "The opportunity you have for the rest of this year is far greater than you think, as soon as you "think it" and "see it" your actions will follow!" This can be all of us! Sam Crowley says it all the time - the work we put in today can start to show benefits 30, 60 even 90 days from now. It's the work we put in day in and day out - changing habits, especially changing bad ones to good ones. It was just something that I wanted to share with you to hopefully get your day and week off to a great start! I hope this helps. Thanks for listening. A Inspirational Conversation With A Great Encourager - Erica Tyler - #436
08/08/2020 Duración: 01h01minAll my guests have given me so much inspiration along with some powerful lessons, Erica Tyler is certainly another on that does that here today. I got to tell you, I ended our call with each other having tears of gratitude being so grateful for this young lady coming into my life. As I said at the start of this show, she has been such a wonderful encourager for me ever since our paths crossed going on 10 years ago. The lessons here that she shares with us are simply pure gold. She leads her life with her faith and that to me is a major reason why she has so much confidence throughout her life. She reminds all of us about some things that I think if we (and society too) take to heart, I think so many things could get better for all of us. You will want to have your note pad out for this one. I know you will come away from this talk feeling more empowered and inspired. You can find her on Instagram: the_tyler_tribe. Talking Golf & Life with PGA Professional Tyler James - #435
06/08/2020 Duración: 51minIt hit me hard again as to how many great people that have had the privilege and honor to work with throughout my lifetime. Tyler James is a former student of mine and now a PGA Professional that I got the opportunity to catch up with for this interview. What an inspiration this guy is in so many ways, especially as an example of chasing after things in life that you have a passion for. Even if you don't like golf (can't believe that, but let's just say you don't), you can still learn plenty from this conversation. On TV, the game of golf or more accurately, the life of a pro golfer looks to be awesome! But to see behind the scenes as to what goes into that life, is really challenging and takes a lot of dedication, sacrifice, and focus. The life lessons that Tyler shares with us are endless here - and I hope you pick out some of the valuable lessons like I did. If you want to reach out to Tyler - find him on Instagram: @tyler_james155 or on Facebook: Thanks for listening. P

Motivation Monday Game Plan - Things Can Get To Us - #434
03/08/2020 Duración: 07minPowerful message thanks to a former student of mine who posted how frustrated he was with the upcoming election. I did this on a Facebook Live video - find the video on my FB Page at Coach John Daly. It really hit home with me because I'm also frustrated too at what is going on. I also get down, depressed & full of anxiety at times from this and many other things. I just want to offer some hopeful & comforting words and thoughts that you are not alone if you are feeling like this. You have a lot of company for sure. One of the things that got me thinking about getting through these times is to invest in yourself. This podcast from Jon Gordon really hit home with me and I mentioned it in today's video - here is the link for you to check that out: https://positiveuniversity.com/episode/jack-easterby/?fbclid=IwAR00Nf4e1ktC_DQ68en6Tez4pvHi-0ySlNodhFTxED34uM1m2gz_KofaUio Thanks for listening. Conversation On Servant Leadership Lessons with Travis Joseph - #433
31/07/2020 Duración: 50minHad an awesome conversation to start my day off in a wonderful direction with the one and only, Travis Joseph. Travis is a graduate from Lake Shore High School - class of 2012 who now lives down in Florida and is in the finance area of high-end boats and air craft. He takes us through a leadership journey in our talk, especially leaning towards servant leadership. I love how he brought up some key elements of being patient, not rushing, listening more, asking questions, and so many wonderful & true statements that we all can learn from. He's had his share of rough lessons in his life that he has been open to learning those important lessons to make him better. Such a great teacher to me with these lessons. Our conversation could have gone on for hours. He was sure to mention plenty of people too that he has had great connections with and who helped him in his journey so far. He's open to people reaching out to him as he wants to make a difference with others any way he can. Find him on

I Cannot Do Everything, But I Can Do Something - #432
29/07/2020 Duración: 15minSo many lessons from "The Final Summit" by Andy Andrews all brought to you again, from Dr. Jeff Lip. I had to bring up another powerful point that I got from Jeff the other day when we recorded an episode for his show. I love the thought that "I cannot do everything, but I can do something." That something comes in many forms and of those many forms, we can find those that we all can do. There is no better time that the world needs us to all do good things, no matter how big or small they are. We can't let what we can't do get in the way of the things that we can do. A HUGE part of it is to invest in ourselves. One thing for me has been getting back to reading a lot more than I have done in a long time. I went through some of the books that I've read lately and I'm here to say, that you can't go wrong with any one of them if you are looking for a book to read. Dictate to life! Be that Coffee Bean and you can make changes to the circumstances that come yo

Motivation Monday Game Plan - Statement vs. Question Mark - #431
27/07/2020 Duración: 05minGot all fired up from a conversation with the one and only Dr. Jeff Lip. We were talking about a book that we both recent read, "The Final Summit" by Andy Andrews. It was an eye, mind & heart opening book and Jeff brought up some great points that we talked about on his show. Check jefflip.com to find his podcasts to listen to it. One thing I wanted to bring up was this idea of our lives being a mindset of a "! vs. ?". Our lives can be either a question mark (full of doubt, fear, lack of passion, etc.) or it can be an exclamation point (confidence, encouragement, passion, great relationships, etc.). There are so many things that we can do to get through the "stormy seas" that we all have going on in our lives and how we don't have to be scared along with realizing that we ourselves, can be the "calm" of our own storms. This is something that will help me to get my day & week started in a great direction. I hope it does that for you too. Thanks f

Be A Foxhole Friend - #430
24/07/2020 Duración: 14minRan across a fabulous podcast from John O'Leary.... find it here on Stitcher: https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/john-oleary/live-inspired-podcast-with-john-oleary/e/76219703 In fact, you can pause mine and go listen to this one first.... very powerful podcast from John O'Leary and his guest Brian Walsh. He brings up about being a Foxhole Friend... one who will be there with you for anything you need. He brings up the fact that throughout life, we don't usually have that many that we know they would drop anything and be with us no matter what. Maybe you have many of those friends - consider yourself blessed. The key is that we need to be that Foxhole Friend for others. We just need to recognize the good people in our lives and make sure we let them know how much we love and appreciate them. This world needs us to start to listen to and recognize each other more. We need each other more than ever & that includes being more kind and showing more compassion too. Read more books that

Interview With Cody Vargo - He's Driving His Energy Bus - #429
22/07/2020 Duración: 55minAnother difference maker has found their way onto a podcast with me. Cody Vargo has such a powerful story of life's different directions taking you to an ultimate destination that you find a lot of joy and passion. Awhile back, Cody told me about the book, "The Energy Bus" by Jon Gordon and what a powerful book it was. We had a great conversation about this and the lessons he found from it. I just got done reading it recently and he's right - great book that I took many lessons from it for my life. One of the many things that came out of this talk with Cody, were the people that he thanked for making a difference with him and his life. He reminded me to be grateful for the countless number of people that have made a difference with me in my life. I really enjoyed this talk with Cody - along with a special appearance from his wife, Kelsey that just topped it off for me as to how special this talk was. Motivation Monday Game Plan - Guard Your Most Valuable Space! - #428
20/07/2020 Duración: 06minI saw two things to share with you to start your week off in a good direction. First it was a quote from Napoleon Hill - "You are what you think about, so be very careful to keep your thoughts positive and on your goal." In other words - guard the 6 inches or so that is between your ears!! It's the most valuable space you own! Watch what you allow into your own mind. The second thing was from a former student of mine who put out a post about how negative and nasty the world seems to be and if she had her way, she'd take off for 3 years or so to just get away from all of the hate, anger, negativity, etc. I've thought that many times myself, but I know that would not be possible.... but you know what is possible? Work at not letting that stuff in your head and your heart. Easy, probably not. But remember, great things usually are not easy, but they are worth it. So as you start this week off - remember, guard the space between your years. Work on it a little bit each day. Re

Interview with Coach TI - Tom Iwanicki - A Difference Maker For So Many People - #427
18/07/2020 Duración: 58minSo good to catch up with Coach TI as we all call him and what a great conversation we had. The last time Tom was on, was with the good Dr. Jeff Lip, way back in episode #189. Tom goes through so many great points that can help so many people - especially with what we are all going through now in the world. Tom got quite an accomplishment done over his time at home as he's finished a thesis paper dealing with a bit of history and he's feeling really good about himself, as he should. It's quite an accomplishment for sure. So sit back as he shares stories, insights & lessons that we all sure can use in our lives. There are many people that have helped him throughout his life & he is now doing the exact same for so many people. Football has taught this man so many lessons & I love how he makes them all relatable for life. If you want to reach out to Tom - find him on Twitter: @CoachTMI and by Email: t.iwanicki@yahoo.com Thanks for listening. Please take a few moments

Appreciation & Gratitude Found Everywhere - Podcast #426
16/07/2020 Duración: 10minHad to share this with everyone along with trying something new of working with my Facebook Live, my YouTube channel and using it here in a podcast. So far, so good. So many things happened in the last 24 hours or so that has taught me some important lessons dealing with Appreciation & Gratitude. Yesterday for example, I was in a great group chat with some friends Denyse, Jeff & Tricia yesterday. We just had some discussions on what we are doing lately, celebrating some things, discussion on some successes of overcoming roadblocks of doing things we want to do. It was a very uplifting and encouraging group chat. Denyse has been leading the way helping us all to see the importance of having these every so often. This morning too, Coach Dave reached out to me just for a quick chat as he drove into school where he has a long list of things that have to get done, and we had a very uplifting & encouraging discussion that really helped both of us. Reading a lot more has been a huge part of feeli

Motivation Monday Game Plan - Come Home To The People We Love - Podcast #425
13/07/2020 Duración: 09minWhat a great time on the road in the car when I recorded this podcast. I did a Facebook live on a few thoughts from a John O’Leary podcast where he interviewed a TV & Radio guy from Minneapolis, Minnesota - Mike Max who was directly involved with covering some of the unrest there after the death of George Floyd. Bottom line - we are more alike than we are different. We ALL have friends, family and loved ones that we want to come home to every night. This is an amazing podcast that I think you benefit greatly to listen to this show - find it HERE. There is still so much we need to learn about people, to learn about ourselves, about others and I am really wondering why we let people, especially politicians, affect our lives so much. It seems we are divided now even more so than ever in my lifetime. When times of crisis hit (and we are in the middle of a biggie now), those times really reveal people. They reveal compassion and kindness or it reveals some ugliness too. I am challenging myself an

Interview With Stacey Phillips - A Winner's Mindset! - Podcast #424
11/07/2020 Duración: 01h33sThis was a distinct pleasure talking with Stacey Phillips and quite frankly, it was long overdue for me to reach out to her to have a powerful and inspiring chat. Stacey is one of my former players from just about 25 years ago that I'm very proud of all the things she has accomplished throughout her life. From being a 3 sport athlete in high school, to an All-American at Michigan State University in Softball, to a Head Coach for Indiana University Softball, a commentator on the Big-10 network for softball and now making a difference in the medical device industry. She is a Champion for Women's Leadership along with being a great example that team sports throughout life foster some fabulous success skills for life. I love her authenticity and she shares some fantastic lessons for all of us to learn from no matter what profession we are in. I love how this educator continues to learn and to be inspired by former students & I can say with pride on how much I appreciate knowing Stacey. She li
