Always Time For This - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tue. 7-16-24 #1299
16/07/2024 Duración: 04min“The Power of Positivity” came out with another great post that connected with me & as always, I hope it connects with you too. It said - “ There is always, always, always something to be thankful for.” In today’s world, I think it’s vitally important to make sure we connect with this every day. I think it helps to ground us and allows us to see through any dark times we may be going through - and there will be those rough times for everyone. Thanks for listening. Be Yourself - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 7-15-24 #1298
15/07/2024 Duración: 05minIt’s a Monday, which means I always look forward to a post / podcast from John O’Leary. Today didn't disappoint. Find out for yourself HERE, as to what an awesome connection John makes to a powerful quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson - “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” I’ve been more connected with this lately, and this reminder helped to remind me that I’m on the right track. It’s hard to shut the world off and this helped remind me that it’s worth it. Thanks for listening. Start & End Our Day - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1297
15/07/2024 Duración: 05minI found this post from “Power of Positivity” that powerfully said, “Always end the day with a positive thought. No matter how hard things were, tomorrow is a fresh opportunity to make it better.” It’s a reminder for me of what I always try to do, but there are some days I am more successful doing this than others. In today’s world I think it’s crucial to do this as there are so many “distractions” that will take us off track and it could last a while if we allow it. It is a very focused decision in order to start our day and end our day, in a positive way. One thing for sure, it’s worth it. Thanks for listening. Broken Pencil = Opportunities - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 7-10-24 #1294
10/07/2024 Duración: 05minI saw this post from Coach The Coaches (@WinningCoaches) and it was all about “Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.” ~ via @CoachBru It was a pencil that was broken in half. Then the one half was sharpened at both ends. The other half of the original pencil was sharpened at the broken end. So now there were 3 writing points and one still had the eraser to fix mistakes. Brilliant! Funny story from me looking back when this would actually happen to me as a kid. But the connection of the story is that sometimes unexpected things happen and we need to be able to see the opportunities that lie with those things. Thanks for listening. Mailbag Advice on Mental Fitness - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tue. 7-9-24 #1293
09/07/2024 Duración: 04minFound an amazing clip on Twitter / X and Instagram, from @damonwest7 - check it out HERE. I saw this clip earlier this morning and then there were a couple of moments before 10 a.m., where I needed to re-connect to the advice from this clip. Amazing stuff when you get info that you find you needed soon after you saw it. I needed to be reminded about the self-confidence part to myself. To keep working hard and to keep up the habits that I tell myself I need to do. When we follow through on promises we make to ourselves, the outcome is more self confidence. Thanks for listening. Where The Water Is - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 7-8-24 #1292
08/07/2024 Duración: 05minOne of the many reasons I enjoy Mondays when they come around is that I get to listen to another new episode of John O’Leary’s podcast & today’s was great as usual. Listen to it HERE. Guiding others to the water in the desert is something that we would all need if we were in a desert for sure. This story is amazing from the standpoint of what it means to others that are in other places in life. Awesome & powerful reflections for a Monday, and every day that ends in a “Y”. Check it out and make sure you connect with John O’Leary somehow, wherever you can. He’s worth it for sure. Thanks for listening. Simple Goal - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1291
08/07/2024 Duración: 08minSaw a great / simple / powerful reminder that was posted from @bechampionminded that gets us to think - “The Goal is simple: Be better than you were yesterday.” There are so many things that I think about with this - more and more over the last few years. It’s something that I look to do multiple times a day -within each of the moments that I catch myself reminding myself about winning each moment & just keep getting better. I sure do have plenty of areas to choose from, that’s for sure. Thanks for listening. Even On Hard Days - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Fri. 7-5-24 #1290
05/07/2024 Duración: 05minFound this great thought from TeacherGoals (@teachergoals) and it all reminds us about when we stay positive, it doesn’t mean that we have to be happy all the time and that we ignore tough moments as if they were not there. I think positive people have a good grasp on reality, it’s just that we know better times are coming. We try to find better ways to get through the tough times. Champions Don't Complain - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 7-3-24 #1288
03/07/2024 Duración: 05minDiscovered another great post shared by Coach AJ Mental Fitness (@coachajkings) where he reminded us about one of the many things that Coach John Wooden taught us all. John Wooden said, "Champions never complain, they are too busy getting better." He also reminds us that the only thing complaining changes is your attitude because when you complain, you focus on the negative rather than looking for the positive and opportunities for growth. Remember, we are all “champions” at things in our lives, even if we haven’t “won” any championships. It’s not simply about sports, it’s about life. Thanks for listening. Game of Confidence - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tue. 7-2-24 #1287
02/07/2024 Duración: 04minA former big leaguer comes through with some important life lessons. Sean Casey (@TheMayorsOffice) - a former Detroit Tiger by the way and host of “The Mayor’s Office” podcast, brought up some things that caught my eye and I wanted to share them with you too. He brings up the important fact that we all have to deal with failure in life - since life is full of it every day - and how we respond is the key. I’ve been taking this to heart a bit more lately, trying to figure things out more in the moment, instead of letting the failure, setback, struggle, etc., keep negatively affecting me. Failure information for us to LEARN and get to better. The key is to keep putting in the work that we need to do along with to keep showing up in life - every single day! It’s all about winning and learning! Thanks for listening. Struggle Goes With Purpose - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 7-1-24 - #1286
01/07/2024 Duración: 03minI came across a great post from Dr. Brad Johnson (@DrBradJohnson) all about a powerful reminder, “your purpose is greater than your struggle.” It got me thinking that there are plenty of struggles in life for all humans and there will be plenty of them as we go about chasing after our dreams and goals. Finding out our purpose / calling in life, is something we all need to invest in and realize that the struggles and challenges that come from this, are all going to be worth it. We learn the most in tough times. It’s not supposed to be easy, but it will be worth it. Thanks for listening. Fear, Doubt & Energy - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1285
01/07/2024 Duración: 04minSaw & heard a couple of things that got me going about the fear and doubt that I have had (in bits and pieces) all throughout my life. I’ve dealt with it in those bits and pieces all throughout life for sure, but looking back from today and all the years before - I’m still noticing how much energy it’s draining me of. I’m wondering what you may think about this & what successes have you found? I know it’s something that I’ve gotten better at for sure, but I also know I have not solved the problem of it either. I know I get in my own way for sure & I’m working on not having it continue. Thanks for listening. The Sun & The Moon - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Fri. 6-28-24 #1284
28/06/2024 Duración: 05minFound another great post from Mindful Maven (@mindfulmaven_) and it helps us to remind ourselves to not compare ourselves to others. “There is no comparison between the sun and moon. They shine when it’s their time.” We all have times where we can shine and the biggest thing is we have a very major say in when that time is. Thanks for listening. Response To Adversity - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Thurs. 6-27-24 - #1283
27/06/2024 Duración: 04minAlways enjoy connecting with my buddy Coach Rich Popp (@Coach4254). His message in this post is a powerful reminder - as always, I needed to see this, before I saw it: “Our response to adversity will move us through or hold us back. Respond accordingly. Peace.” I know I need to look at the many opportunities to have it help move me forward and not always hold me back or slow me down. Remember, adversity happens all the time - no sense in helping it out by choosing to let it run us over day after day. It’s a time to learn and get better. Thanks for listening. 80 / 20 Rule Reflections - Daily Thought With Coach John - Tue. 6-25-24 #1281
25/06/2024 Duración: 06minSaw an awesome post from Reads with Ravi (@readswithravi) where there is a different mindset on 8 pieces to the 80/20 rule. Common Thread - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 6-24-24 #1280
24/06/2024 Duración: 06minIn my daily readings, one of the items comes from Andy Andrews and his book “The Traveler’s Gift”. This from the Monday reading for me and it’s the first lesson of Success - “The Buck Stops Here”, with President Truman. There is the reminder that all humans have challenges and difficulties during their time on earth. The question of “why me?” should be replaced with “why not me!” It's all about the fact that adversity leads to lessons. It ties into the previous podcast a bit too, where we should really get out of our own way in life. Easier said than done, but totally worth it. Thanks for listening.
