Facebook Censors Shakaboona (3:14) Shakaboona
16/07/2018 Duración: 03min"Facebook Censors Shakaboona," by Kerry Shakaboona Marshall. They've done it. Facebook censors have officially removed political commentator and human rights activist prisoner Shakaboona from the largest social media platform in the world. This act comes on the heels of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg testifying before Congress denying accusations that Facebook is intentionally censoring political views they find objectionable. A poll taken by the Pew Research Center shows that companies such as Facebook, Twitter, and Google institute stricter policies on the content that runs on their platforms, often leading to confusion concerning why some users are removed from their social platforms and others are not. And now comes Shakaboona. Why has Facebook censors suddenly decided to suppress Shakaboona's political speech by removing his Facebook page? Did Facebook deem Shakaboona's political views objectionable? Facebook's alleged reasons for removing Shakaboona's Facebook page account is that prisoners aren't eligibl

Malcom Jenkins and Presidential Pardons (2:32) Shakaboona
08/07/2018 Duración: 02min"Malcolm Jenkins Should Help Political Prisoners Get Presidential Pardons" by Kerry Shakaboona Marshall. Malcolm Jenkins, Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl champion, and superb social activist for Black people in America. Great article in the New York Times have responded to President Trump's clemency offer to individuals. It was measured in tone, mature, thought provoking, and 100% factually and actually correct in every aspect. However, as great a response article to Trump as it was, there are Black, Native American, Latino, and Caucasian political prisoners of the struggle who have been languishing in prison since the 1960s and 1970s for nearly half a century. Like Dr. Mutulu Shakur of the Black Panther Party and Leonard Peltier of the American Indian Movement, whose lives can be saved at this moment with a presidential pardon, whom otherwise will die in federal prison without it. There is a common understanding among freedom fighters around the world: never leave your political prisoners to die in the enem

NFL Players Adopt a Federal Prison (2:26) Shakaboona
03/07/2018 Duración: 02min"Hashtag NFL players adopt a federal prisoner for President Trump's pardon," by Kerry Shakaboona Marshall. It was very noble of celebrity Kim Kardashian to visit the White House to meet with President Trump and plead for a presidential pardon for the life of a black grandmother held in federal prison for a life term. What was equally noble is that President Trump instantly signed the grandmother's pardon and she was released from federal prison the next day. What was more astonishing than that was, recently, president Trump made a public announcement to NFL players who took a knee for social justice in America for black people during the National Anthem at NFL games, declaring that he would give a presidential pardon and release any federal prisoner presented to him by NFL player who may be innocent, unduly convicted, or have an unjust sentence, were they to petition him. Man, the cahones of President Trump! What a bold move: a challenge to the NFL players even. Should NFL players accept President Trump's cha

There Is Nothing Like the Human Rights Coalition (2:23) Kerry Shakaboona Marshall
03/06/2018 Duración: 02min"There is nothing like the Human Rights Coalition organization," by Kerry Shakaboona Marshall. The Human Rights Coalition, HRC, in Pennsylvania is the most dynamic organization in America. The HRC began the current criminal justice reform movement in Philly and throughout Pennsylvania. And there continues to be no other organization like it. During a discussion about organizing around criminal justice reform, Lios Errant, director of Rural Cost of Prisons project in Massachusetts, profoundly stated, "As I said when we were talking, the work being done by the HRC, Cabby, and now to have lawyers, Abolitionist Law Center, and Amistad Law Project working with you is fantastic. I am aware of a lot of organizing going on around the country, and there is nothing like it." For those persons wanting to be involved on the cutting edge of criminal justice reform in America, then come join the HRC organization in Philly, Pennsylvania to partake in our campaigns to abolish long-term solitary confinement, to abolish death

Jondhi Harrell Doesn't Speak for PA Lifer Prisoners (2:22) Shakaboona
27/05/2018 Duración: 02min"Johndi Harrell doesn't speak for Pennsylvania lifer prisoners," by Kerry Shakaboona Marshall. Pennsylvania's primary elections was bittersweet for Pennsylvania lifer prisoners and families in regards to the reelection of State Representative Jason Dawkins of the 179th District in Philly. Bitter because, during elections, Johndi Harrell and his TCRC and black party groups sought to replace incumbent representative Dawkins for candidate Abu Edwards whom supported the much-hated DA candidate Tariq Al-Shabaab over Lawrence Krasner, and who not on record for supporting parole for lifers. Sweet because lifer prisoners and their families supported and campaigned on behalf of Representatives Dawkins causing him to win reelection with over 70% of the vote. Lifer prisoners and their families are infuriated by Johndi's counter-freedom actions of supporting Edwards and campaigning to replace Dawkins. That's treasonous, how could he? Representative Dawkins has champion parole eligibility for lifers from the start and int

Teacher's Rising (1:40) Mumia Abu-Jamal
20/05/2018 Duración: 01minTEACHERS RISING[col. writ. 5/16/18] ©’18 Mumia Abu-Jamal It began in America’s poorest states and is spreading like wildfire. First came Kentucky, then a slew of others: Arizona, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Colorado -- if you think about it, these are, for the most part, conservative states and yet these are places where teachers, amond the most poorly-paid state\local workers at a public institution, are walking out and uniting to demand better pay, and better state support for their mission -teaching kids. In recent years the assault on teaching as a valued profession has left me shocked and disturbed. Why this assault on teachers? Because teachers are presumed to be liberal, and tend to support Democratic candidates. There’s yet another reason: conservative hatred of public schools, and their affection for private and often charter schools. But as teachers rise and fight back, they are winning, and showing that they -- and labor -- can fight back and win. This insidious war against teachers is a war against t

Real Freedom (2:50) Omar Askia Ali
14/05/2018 Duración: 02minAll right, my name is Omar Askia Ali AKA Edward Sistrunk. I'm housed at SCI Coal Township in Pennsylvania. Our subject matter today is "Real Freedom." Before prisoners are released from prison, we should be thinking in terms of building our own businesses as a mean of self-sufficiency. In turn, we become an asset in solving the blight in our society, whether it be economics, politics, science, or any other facets of our empowerment. Prisoners need to have a fundamental comprehension of how and why things in our high-tech society work, because education is about empowerment. Without it, we will never be liberated without liberating our minds, because we will continue to exist in a state of total disarray, playing the illusionary games with our owm selves. We have no time for playing the blame game, and, yes, there is some suffering in some manner. However, only we can turn things around with like-minded people. Unity is more than a name: it is the framework for collective empowerment and true freedoms. Percent

False Charges (3:38) Reverend Edward Pinkney
07/05/2018 Duración: 03minReverend Edward Pinkney from Benton Harbor, Michigan. I was sent to prison for- for- for a charge that was- it never existed. There was no such charge as forgery on the recall petition. The Berrien County sheriff department, the prosecutor office, and the judge was all working together to send me to prison. They figured if they can stop Reverend Edward Pinckney, they could stop the movement that is happening in the city of Benton Harbor. They came out with an all-white jury that was motivated by something other than the truth. It came directly at Reverend Pinckney and his friends, but they only charged Reverend Pinckney with five counts of forgery and six counts of allowing someone else to sign the petition twice. The charges of allowing someone to sign the petition twice, I was found not guilty on all charges. But the five felony counts of forgery, they found me guilty and they sent me to prison for 30 months. 30 incredible months. Who would believe it? Only in America with absolutely no evidence. None. They
