  • Recovering Our Lost Ground; Breaking The Siege

    17/05/2020 Duración: 44min

Say HiINTRODUCTIONAs we continue to trust God to recover our lost ground, it is important for us to consider the miraculous recovery God granted Samaria when they were besieged by the Army of Aram. 3 Major features in 2 Kings 6:24-31 characterized the season before their miraculous recovery:Samaria was locked in, just like a great part of our world is on a lockdown.-          Every attempt to go out to make a living was denied them. They were hedged in on all sides and refused every opportunity to break forth. They were besieged by the whole army of the Arameans. No one was coming in or going out. A total lockdown!-          They could not travel from their country to another country, all international engagements, conferences and meetings cancelled. Their economy was grounded and everyone was hopelessly left to ultimately die of starvation. The king was hopeless, helpless and hapless, just like our leaders are clueless.-          Even when the woman demanded help from the king, he shouted back, ‘how can I hel

  • Recovering Our Lost Opportunities

    13/05/2020 Duración: 46min

Say HiThe story about the rescue of Noah, his family and all that were with him in the ark is a testament to the fact that when God begins a journey with a man, He will not abandon him either half way or at any point in the course of the journey. God will surely remember you where He has kept you! (Genesis 7:1, 16). God’s ‘remembrance’ is not an indication that He has forgotten. “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you. See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me” (Isaiah 49:15-16). “God remembered Noah” is an expression rendered as, “God turned His attention to Noah……” (Genesis 8:1 MSG). This also indicates, God was faithful to His promises to Noah (Genesis 6:17-18). Our God is not a covenant breaker. He is a constant covenant keeper. Since He started the journey with us this year, He will keep us till the end of this pandemic and beyond.A. What God Can DoI believe it will n

  • Bearing the Light, Shining His Glory

    10/05/2020 Duración: 39min

Say HiINTRODUCTION-          Praise God it is another Sunday, the second Sunday in the month of May.-          Praise God it is another Mother’s Day.-          Praise God we are all surviving Covid-19 and we shall all see the end of it in Jesus name.-          The fact that we are on lockdown does not mean we cannot celebrate Mother’s Day.-          Father’s and children make sure you do something special for her today. The Lord will be speaking to us from our theme text for the year- Isaiah 60:1 and Judges 4:4-9 as we relate the passages to Mother’s Day. Though the focus is on the women, the message is for all because we have all been called to bear His light and shine His glory. Our focus is on the life of Mrs Deborah Lapidoth. She was first a lady, then a wife and a prophetess and judge. Being a woman should be a thing of joy and pride. Bearing the title “Mrs” is God’s desire so you should cherish it. It is part of projecting what God has created you for. The following are some of the lessons the Lord will

  • THE RECOVERY OF THE AX HEAD

    06/05/2020 Duración: 51min

Say HiThe story of the floating ax-head attests to the Biblical truth in Lk. 1:37, that “With God nothing shall be impossible.” It remains a mystery how iron can be made to float with just a stick. Our God indeed is the Almighty, the All Powerful and ever Dependable. While it is true that many have lost a lot due to Corona virus Pandemic, we are assured of recovery from this passage and encouraged. You will surely recover in Jesus' Name. Your recovery may look impossible to the natural mind, but if you will trust God and follow the instructions in this passage, you will surely recover whatever you have lost in Jesus' Name.A.   DefinitionAxe Head = “A cutting tool that consists of a heavy edged head fixed to a handle with the edge parallel to the handle and that is used especially for felling trees and chopping and splitting wood.”Your axe head = Your spiritual gift.= Your weapon= Your tool.= What gives you a cutting edge.= What makes you sharp and effective= Your means of livelihood, = EtcB.   Requir

  • Recovering our Lost Ground: Naaman’s Recovery Story.

    03/05/2020 Duración: 38min

Say HiThe story of Naaman is perhaps a very popular story to an average church goer. Most people know at least two things about Naaman: he is remembered as a great commander in the army who had a “but” in his life despite his great achievements. Many preachers have often used this at evangelistic rallies to hammer on the “but” of sin in the lives of their hearers. It is however interesting to note that there were so many wonderful things about Naaman. A closer look at our text reveals many vital information about this character that are worthy of emulation. While it is true that the Bible didn’t talk much about Naaman again, except for a single reference by our Lord Jesus Christ in Lk. 4:27, it is important to know that Naaman’s story leaves us with unchanging and tested principles from the word of God on how we can recover our lost grounds. It is my prayer that the Holy Spirit will help you and I to understand these principles and use them as we make effort to recover all we have lost at the personal, family or

  • Seeing Beyond Now

    30/04/2020 Duración: 36min

Say HiINTRODUCTION - The events of the recent past has been sudden, terrible and challenging. When issues of life are getting tough, man easily give up as a result of confusion and the inability to see beyond the present situation. Only a few can forge ahead in faith and in trust that the future will be better and glorious. A.   David’s Situation-In Psalm 27, David expressed his trust in the Lord and also asked to be delivered from his many troubles. -          David faced the wicked- 2a-          David faced enemies and foes-2b-           David faced an army and war- verse 3-          David faced trouble- verse 5-           David faced adversaries and false witnesses –verse 12-          David faced violent men- Verse 12 B.   David’s Response- -          In all of these, David did not give up. -           David saw beyond the present-          David saw that it did not matter what the enemy did, he was going to stay strong- verse 3. -          David expressed his trust in the Lord- verses 1-6. -          Davi

  • Maximizing Opportunities to Fulfill our Mission in the World

    26/04/2020 Duración: 40min

Say HiINTRODUCTION: Considering the current happenings all over the world, it has become very necessary and mandatory for us to return into the Scripture to re-examine it closely with the view of reminding ourselves of our mandate in the World as God’s people. Right from the time of the creation till the time of the ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ into heaven, God’s purpose for our creation and recreation in Christ has never been vague. The ultimate intention of God for our creation was stated expressly in the Scripture before and after He concluded His work (Genesis 1:26-28). God’s entire efforts for the creation of mankind was in response to the terrible condition of the earth (Genesis 1:2). Our Lord Jesus Christ also did not leave us in doubt of His mission for redeeming us and establishing His Church (Matthew 4:19; 5:13-16; John 20:21-23; Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-16; Acts 1:8). The commission given by Jesus to His Church was also as a result of the state of the world (Matthew 9:35-36) and His desir

  • Benefits of Singing Praise to God through the Lock-down Period

    24/04/2020 Duración: 19min

Say HiINTRODUCTION: The passage before us is a perfect example of individuals who refused to lose hope, depressed, give in or give up in their ‘lockdown’ period. Paul and Silas suddenly found themselves in a period of ‘lock in’ and ‘lockdown’ after faithfully doing the work of ministry (Acts 16:16-18). They were severely flogged and thrown into prison (v.23). The jailer kept them in the inner cell and clamped their feet in the stocks (v.24). Instead of complaining, weeping, crying or being afraid, Paul and Silas engaged the supernatural. About midnight, Paul and Silas decided to allow God into their ‘lockdown’ period by praying and singing hymns to God.  One of the Greek words for singing, humneo from where we get the word Hymn: is an expression for singing the praise of God, singing paschal hymns (Psalms 113-118) or songs of praise directed to God and not to humans or any other object. Some motivational speakers have suggested many brilliant ways to maximize this lockdown period and make things to work for o

  • Navigating Triumphantly Through The Storms of Life

    22/04/2020 Duración: 41min

Say HiINTRODUCTION: It is no strange thing anymore that evil, difficult times, tribulations or dark moments are existential realities in this world. Storms of life are common experience to all mankind whether high or low, rich or poor, saints or sinners, committed Christians or lackadaisical Christians, Pastors or Church members. In short, storms of life or difficult times are no respecter of persons, families, congregations, nations and the entire world at large as we are currently witnessing. Just as there are different categories of storms of life as God’s servant made us to understand on Sunday, there are also different causes for the storms.1.          Satanic presence and his mission in the world. Revelation 12:7-12; Job 1:6-7; John 10:10; Genesis 1:1-2; 2 Chronicles 21:1; Luke 13:16; 1 Peter 5:8-92.        Sins - Genesis 3:16-19; 6:1, 5-8; 18:20-21, 4-8, 24-253.        The fallen condition of the earth - Genesis 3:17-19; Romans 8:214.       Ignorance - Isaiah 5:135.        Commitment to God and His wil

  • The Storm Is Over

    19/04/2020 Duración: 47min

Say HiTHE STORM...Life is full of all kind of storms! In the context of today’s message, it is a violent disturbance of life and well-being. When these storms happen, they do not come with sweet experiences, rather they bring fear and anxiety. Amazingly, there is always calm before the storm. Ref: Acts 27:13-14. So often times, we are at a loss on the swift change of event. Some of these storms can be personal battles, some are battles that spread across family ties and some sweep across a people, community, country, even the entire world. It is interesting to note that these storms have categories.CATEGORIES OF STORMSIsaiah 43:2aGeneral Storms (Psalm 34:19, Ecclesiastes 9:11)Storms are common to all human. It is only a matter of time, we will all go through one storm or the other. Our relationship with God does not immune us from storms. However, the good news is as it is in verse 1 of our text- Fear Not, I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name; you are Mine. This storm may be the reason for that

  • UNDERSTANDING THE TIMES

    15/04/2020 Duración: 55min

Say HiThe times we live in is a challenging and dangerous time. The Bible described it as perilous times (2 Timothy 3:1-7), evil days (Ephesians 5:14-16). We are certainly in the last days! We are in the days when the heart of men are melting (Isaiah 13:7), strong men are afraid and increasingly going weak (Isaiah 13:7, 8) and those who have long trusted in their might are suddenly seeing the vanity of life (Isaiah 2:10-18).1 Chronicles 12:32Two things clearly distinguished the men of Issachar- They where men who understood the time and they knew what Israel needed to do. In times like this, we must understand the times and know exactly what we need to do if we must survive the times, else we may be swept away by the torrent of uncertainties and challenges. ...THEY UNDERSTOOD THE TIMETo know our situation is to bring ourselves to the point of reality. It is a common saying that if you know you have a problem, then the problem is half solved. The times we are in, is characterized by:Shocking RealitiesSomeone sa

  • VITAL LESSONS ABOUT CHRIST’S RESURRECTION

    12/04/2020 Duración: 42min

Say HiThe subject of Christ's resurrection is central to the Christian faith. This subject is so crucial that all the gospel writers gave prominence to it in their writings. The truth of the scripture is that Christ resurrected on the third day. Evidences of this abound in scripture. There are also historical and archaeological evidence that authenticate this claim. To therefore deny the resurrection means ignorance of scripture and a terrible denial of the power of the Almighty God to raise the dead. It is my prayer as we celebrate another Easter, that all of us would have a fresh encounter with the resurrected Christ. Some of the vital lessons that can be gleaned from the resurrection would be the focus of our interaction this morning. May the Holy Spirit speak to each of our hearts and perfect His will for our lives on this resurrection morning in Jesus' Name. Amen. 7 Vital Lessons About Christ’s Resurrection. 1.  God is a Promise Keeper - Psa. 16:9-10; Matt. 16:21.Our God is ever faithful to His

  • A WORD FROM THE LORD - REV. MRS. BOSUN ADEGBOYEGA

    11/04/2020 Duración: 11min

Say HiA timely word to encourage our hearts in this trying time. Here is a reminder about the character of the Maker of the ends of the earth and the sustainer of the same. Rev. Mrs. Bosun Adegboyega is the Minister in charge of Children and Teenagers at Ikoyi Baptist Church, Ikoyi, Lagos.

  • It is Finished

    10/04/2020 Duración: 45min

Say HiChrist made seven statements on the cross. His Sixth statement on the cross is what we shall be looking at this morning. This sixth statement was observed by H.L. Wilmington to be one word in the original Greek -tetelestai. Tetelastai means “it was finished and as a result it is forever done.”The phrase "it is finished" is also “the kind a painter or sculptor would use after putting finishing touches to the vivid landscape or the marble bust; he would then stand back a few feet to admire the masterpiece, and seeing in it nothing that calls for correction or improvement, would exclaim fondly and with delight, Tetelestai! Tetelestai!”It is important to note that Jesus said- “It is finished” and not ‘I am finished.’ This was more of a statement of accomplishment rather than one of regret and sorrow. “Christ completed all that was necessary in order to accomplish the plan of redemption.”The Greek word translated finish here is teleo. It means the following viz. to accomplish, to fill up, to fulfil

  • Biblical Tips For Surviving The Dark Days

    08/04/2020 Duración: 55min

Say HiWe don’t need any prophet to tell us we are in a dark season. It is a time the Prophet Isaiah prophesied about thousands of years ago - that “darkness will cover the earth and gross darkness the people” - Isa. 60:2.The darkness of Corona Virus has taken over the entire world in the last four months. It has left many great nations and world leaders perplexed, dazed, confused and horrified. The days we are in are really dark days! The hope of a cure doesn't seem in sight. Many are even warning that we should not take the vaccine that may come out soon because of the fear that it is invented to kill more people than the virus itself. The world is totally confused and does not know what to do.The Big question is, are we going to survive these seeming unending dark days? Our best option is to return to the Almighty God and trust Him to help us through this season - Hos.6:1-3.To this end, I will like to share with you some Biblical tips to surviving these dark days. These are: Repent of the bad choices we ha

  • I Will Lead My Family to be Healthy Church Members

    29/03/2020 Duración: 43min

Say HiINTRODUCTION- The family is the basic unit of a society, so is it in the Church. In fact, the Church is a family or household of God. 1 Corinthians 12:27 “Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.” Ephesians 2:19 “Now therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.”  As we are interrelated through blood with our natural family so are we interrelated in the church through the blood of Jesus Christ. Individual families go a long way in determining the life and the strength of the church as a family of God’s people; this is because every member of the church is from one family or the other. Only a healthy family can build or breed a healthy church through their membership. So, the task of leading my family to become healthy church members is a very big one. The following are some of the actions to be taken in order to lead my family members to become healthy church members.1.         APPRECIATE YOUR FAMILY- The

  • THIS PLAGUE WILL NOT LAST FOREVER

    27/03/2020 Duración: 42min

Say HiIt did not make much sense when the Lord spoke to us on the eve of this year that gross darkness shall cover the earth and thick darkness shall be over the people - Isa. 60:2.This truth has now become a reality with the ravaging effect of Corona Virus which started in a small village in China, but has now spread all over the world. Available information as at today reveals:It is obvious that the government of the world has no answer to the Corona Virus challenge. The only dependable and reliable source of intervention is God. We who have a covenant relationship with God therefore need to arise and call on our God who is more than able to deal with this challenge.Meanwhile, we all must be rest assured that this plague will stop. When and how, I don’t know. But based on the word of God, I do believe this plague will soon stop. A. Reasons Why This Plague Will Stop.Every plague in the Bible stopped - Num. 16:41-50; 25:8; Psa. 106:28; 2 Sam.24:25.                                                The present wo

  • RESOLUTION TO BE A PRAYING MEMBER FOR MY CHURCH LEADERS

    22/03/2020 Duración: 39min

Say HiRESOLUTION TO BE A PRAYING MEMBER FOR MY CHURCH LEADERS: ACTS 12:12-19; EXODUS 17:10-13A Message Prepared For Worship Service of Sunday March 22, 2020 By  Nebolisa O. Arah Few families face the kinds of pressures and expectations as families of Pastors and Church leaders. A typical day of a Church Pastor is filled with mountain tops and valleys and subject to up’s and down’s of life (see pages 43-46). Church members believe their leaders are superhuman. They must remain calm in the face of crisis, disagreement, abuse, opposition. We expect our leaders to be above reproach, maintain good self-control, be sensible, respectable and hospitable. We believe they must be good teachers, gentle, not argumentative, not greedy, have a good reputation among unbelievers and not fall into disgrace and the devil’s trap.  The list is endless. But like all of us our Pastors and leaders have 24 hours in a day.  They are fathers, mothers and parents as we are. They need our support and encouragement. Most of all they need
