070: Build Trust and Accelerate the Buyer’s Journey With Video
13/12/2016 Duración: 57minLambo Goal is going on pause. More on that in the show. I know... it's tough. Trust me. We have to say no to some good things right now to say yes to some great things. And there are some great things coming (don't worry, Lambo Goal isn't going away forever). But today's show with Cory McCabe is all about using video to bring people closer to buying what you have to sell. If you want people to buy from you, they need to know, like, and trust you. Video is the fastest way to build those relationships. But is it the right time for you to go all in on video? See, I thought it was for me with seanwes tv back in 2014. I ended up doing a total of 186 episodes, but then I put the video show on pause. It was the wrong time. I share what's next for seanwes tv, why we paused the video show after 186 episodes, and why it's coming back in 2017. You'll learn how to recognize the right time to go all in on video and what to do before you start doing video.

069: How to Sell More Products, Stay Top of Mind, and Create Lasting Fans With Email
08/11/2016 Duración: 01h20minEmail marketing is tough. What should you send and when? How much is too much? What if you're afraid of annoying people? All you want to do is create a lasting connection with people. You just want a fan for life. How do you do that? In today's episode, we go a little more advanced and show you how to build out an initial autoresponder sequence to sell your products. If you don't already have a product to sell, we tell you how to get data from subscribers to figure out exactly what to build and exactly what people will respond to. We talk about consistency, staying top of mind with email, mentioning and selling related products (downsells), and why you should focus on one product type and create related products instead of switching to something completely different. Learn what to do when people don't buy, whether you should sell in every email (at a micro and macro level), why you should speak to one person, and why your message should be polarizing. If this wasn't enough, we answer a TON of questions

068: How to Be Motivated to Take Action Even When You Don’t Want To
01/11/2016 Duración: 50minHow do you find motivation? Motivation seems to be elusive. We can hardly ever find it or harness it when we need it, so where does it come from? The people who are motivated know it doesn’t start with motivation, it always starts with doing. The motivation is found in the doing. You have to take action! But how do you DO when you don’t have motivation? We talk about how to intentionally enter a state of a flow and set yourself up to be motivated—and stay motivated.

067: Sticking to a Routine and Chaining Habits
11/10/2016 Duración: 01h14minIn July of 2016, I wrote a book called Overlap (http://OverlapBook.com). It’s a 75,000-word book and I wrote it in 14 days. How? I had a productive routine. I would shut down at 9:00 PM, lights off at 10:00 PM, wake up at 4:30 AM, go for a run, and start writing by 6:00 AM. That’s a lot of things, and they didn’t happen all at once. I worked toward this for many months prior, and it took a lot of steps to get there. We talk about chaining habits together in this episode and creating micro successes. Instead of defining success as this big, perfect vision of the life you want for yourself, I encourage you to redefine success. A successful morning routine starts the night before, so first, define success by when you go to bed. Do that for a couple weeks consistently. Then define success by when you wake up. Keep moving the marker. Once you establish a new baseline, redefine success. This is a very practical episode. If you feel like you have trouble sticking to a routine, or you’ve fallen off a routine

066: Accomplish Great Things and Leave Your Mark on the World
04/10/2016 Duración: 01h10minWe all want to leave our mark on the world. We want to make a difference, we want to be remembered, and we want to leave an impact. How do you define your big goal? When I was six years old, I had a big goal. Then life happened to me and I became "realistic". It took me 20 years to recover from "realistic" thinking. I don't want a "realistic" life, I want unprecedented results! You have to be unrealistic. You have to think big. But how big? How do you find your big goal? How do you know if it's big enough? Do you need to know how much money it will take to get there? Does it matter? Should your goal be about yourself first and then others? Cory wants to know all of these things, and that's exactly what we talk about in this episode. One of the big take aways is: can you put your goal on a poster on the wall? Sounds like a weird question, but it can actually give you some clarity. If you can't picture your goal on a poster, chances are it's too vague.

065: Why You Should Be in a Mastermind Group
20/09/2016 Duración: 01h05minWhat is a mastermind group? A mastermind group is typically comprised of 4 to 8 peers who meet regularly to help one another improve, stay accountable, and increase success. In this episode, we talk about why you should be in a mastermind group, how to find a mastermind group, how to start a mastermind group, and what goes on inside a mastermind group. The mastermind sessions I'm a part of are comprised of four parts: 1. Updates 2. Goals 3. Challenges 4. Commitments We go into much greater depth and detail on what each of those four parts contain (as well as share a bonus 5th part that's possibly the most important). This is the perfect episode for you if you're interested in joining or starting your own mastermind group. You'll learn how a mastermind group differs from having a mentor or a coach but why it's just as critical to your success.

064: The Importance of Taking Sabbaticals and Why You Need Breaks
13/09/2016 Duración: 01h04minWhat in the world is Small Scale Sabbaticals? Some teachers and professors actually take off a whole year every seven years as a sabbatical, but I'm talking about something more frequent. Yes, we typically take off a day every week, but I always wondered: why isn't there anything in between weekends and a year-long sabbatical? In 2014, I decided to start taking a week off every seventh week. I'd work six weeks and then take a week off. I even started paying all of my employees to take a week off. The results have been incredible. We've never looked back. In this episode, we talk about the different kinds of sabbaticals, what to do if you think you can't afford to take a sabbatical, whether or not it's possible with a day job, and how you'll be even MORE productive and get a greater amount of work done than if you never took off time in the first place. We actually see an overall spike in productivity. Learn to get more work done, feel healthier and well-rested, and have a happy team.

063: What’s Next for Lambo Goal
06/09/2016 Duración: 01h01minWe're entering into a new season of the show with this episode. You may have noticed there have not been any new episodes on the feed lately. That probably seems strange with how much I talk about the importance of consistency. Strange is certainly a good word to describe the situation! I hate leaving people hanging and the last thing I want to be is unreliable. The reason is I didn't hear from my co-host, Matt, for many weeks. Not a peep. I couldn't fathom what had possibly happened for him to have gone dark for so long. Was he okay? Was he just that busy? I waited for a long time, holding onto hope that I'd hear from him soon so I could learn what in the world was going on! I was in a really tough spot with no information to act on. After a number of weeks, the team decided there's nothing else we can do but move on with the show. Cory, who is on almost every episode with us, would step up as co-host. It would be a different show but a good show, and we set out to record our first episode together, Co

062: Everyone Needs to Know Your Goal
26/07/2016 Duración: 59minIf the people around you aren't getting you closer to your goal, they're taking you away from it. You have to get everyone on board. Everyone in your life needs to know your goal. Every single day you need to be communicating your goal to the people in your life. Every day, you start fresh. If you haven't communicated it TODAY, you haven't communicated it. Friends, family, relatives, audience... everyone needs to know. Communicate your vision. Get everyone on the same page. Yes, you will turn people off, but only the people that were already taking you away from your goal.

061: Never Lower a Target
19/07/2016 Duración: 52minYou're setting "realistic" goals. You need to set BIG goals. Massive goals. But setting big goals isn't enough. Most of you can do this. Many of you have done it. But you're missing something. You also must take massive ACTION. Once you have a large goal, now you must take 10X action to achieve it. Never lower a target. Only increase action. Right now, you're taking 1X action. That means you're taking as much action as you think is necessary to reach your goals. That's not enough. You need to take 10X the amount of action you think is necessary. Take the amount of action you think is required to reach your goal. Now multiple that amount of action by 10. That is how much action you must take.

060: How to Make Your First $1,000 (Part 3 of 3): Keeping the Money Coming In
12/07/2016 Duración: 48minThis is the 3rd and final part of our series on Making Your First $1,000. In the first two episodes, we helped you find your business idea and get paying customers. Making an extra $1,000 is cool, but you know what's cooler? Making an extra $1,000 every single month. If you want to make $1,000, the first steps are identical to those of starting a business. If you're going to start a business, why not put in the systems to keep the money coming in? We talk about how to setup a recurring business model, how to scale, and how to break outside of the limited scope you're thinking in. The last section of this episode is the best: we talk about thinking big. Thinking on a whole other level. Don't teach one person, lead a conference workshop for 50 people. Don't mow one lawn, get a crew together and develop processes and dominate. Whether it's your first $1,000 or an extra $1,000 that you're looking to make, this episode is for everyone and it's going to really help you blow it out of the water.

059: How to Make Your First $1,000 (Part 2 of 3): Getting Paying Customers
05/07/2016 Duración: 37minThis is Part 2 of 3 in our series on Making Your First $1,000. Now that you have your business idea, we're going to focus on getting customers. There are a lot of ways to get customers. Many of them are longer term investments and cost money. We're going to start with the easiest. That's word of mouth referral. The first place to start is with the people you know. These are your friends and family. This group is the most commonly overlooked and that's a huge mistake. These people are your base. You don't even have to concern yourself with whether your friends or family will buy from you—it doesn't matter. You need to make yourself known to them because that awareness will result in referral business. It's not about getting your Aunt to buy from you. It's about leveraging your base by making sure your Aunt is aware so she can recommend you to her neighbor.

058: How to Make Your First $1,000 (Part 1 of 3): Finding Your Business Idea
28/06/2016 Duración: 46minWe've got an EPIC series lined up for you. Over the course of the next 3 episodes, we're going to help you make your first $1,000. Today, we're kicking things off by helping you find your business idea. Now, you may be wondering why you have to have a business idea if you just want to make $1,000. Well, I have news for you: if you make $1,000, you have a business. If you don't believe me, just ask the government—because they're going to tax you like a business if you make $1,000. It turns out, the first steps to making your first $1,000 are the same steps to building a business. That starts with finding your business idea. In this episode we talk about the difference between a passion business and a cash flow business, and how getting good at something and making money from it can actually lead to becoming passionate about something.

057: How to Find a Mentor
14/06/2016 Duración: 30minThis was originally a bonus After Show that we decided to share as its own episode. We talk about positioning yourself around the right people and being someone that a mentor would want to invest in. You'll hear Matt talk about big numbers in this episode, but remember that you are the average of your five closest friends. Matt says he's the poorest of his five closest friends and adds that, "the only people I surround myself with that don’t make more than I do is my family." Matt started talking about his mentors (again, this was previously just an After Show conversion for members). I was curious about how he found his mentors, so I asked. Mentorship is something that is given. If you ask for it, what you're doing is asking for consulting (which is a paid service). To get a mentor, you have a be a person someone wants to invest their time in and you have to go places where you can find these people.

056: The Four Burners Theory: The Downside of Work-Life Balance
07/06/2016 Duración: 01h05minMy friend, James Clear, wrote a very thought-provoking article, titled The Four Burners Theory: The Downside of Work-Life Balance. You should go check it out. Imagine a stovetop with four burners. Each burner represents one of the following areas of your life: 1. Health 2. Work 3. Family 4. Friends The premise is that: In order to be successful you have to cut off one of your burners. And in order to be really successful you have to cut off two. I found James’ article very thought-provoking and wanted to have a conversation about it with Matt. We wouldn’t suggest taking the theory as law, but it provided some great food for thought. For instance, I find the lack of a “Personal Time” category peculiar. One could argue that would go under “Health” but that seems like stretching it. Regardless, we really just took the theory at face value as a starting point for a conversation. I don’t expect you to agree with everything. Certainly your priorities are unique. I just expect you to think. If I get you to

055: Making Money vs. Saving Money
31/05/2016 Duración: 01h27minYou’re not going to save your way to being a millionaire. It’s time to start making money. A penny saved is not a penny earned. Now, many people will tell you this. Their argument is, “A penny saved is MORE than a penny earned!” You may think this is smart, but this is still how poor people think. Poor people save money. Rich people make it. Here’s how I see it: don’t waste time picking up a penny when you should be making a dollar. Would you rather save $100 or make $1,000 dollars? It’s a difference between scarcity and abundance mindset. Creating wealth vs. stockpiling it. How do you create wealth? You solve problems. Look around you. There are problems everywhere. Most people are blind to them. Most people only see their own problems—and then they pay someone else to solve those problems. You need to become a person who recognizes the many problems around you on a day to day basis and makes a point to solve them. Solve the house-on-fire problems. Solve the problems people have to have solved. Op

054: Learning Where Money Comes From So You Appreciate It When You Get It
10/05/2016 Duración: 45minMatt always likes to say to live like you're poor so you maintain a hustle mentality for your business. Seeing someone he knew blow $100,000 in a weekend didn't sit right with him. Celebrating is one thing, but there's a difference between celebrating and having no respect for money. A lack of respect for money is common when you didn't work for it. In this episode, we talk about respect for money. We talk about the difference between wasteful partying and reasonable celebration. We also talk about the value of your time, tax tips, living like you're broke, investing your time, and not being loose with money.

053: Why You Must Believe in What You Sell Today if You Want to Make Money Tomorrow
26/04/2016 Duración: 01h24sYour biggest threat is anonymity. You can't afford to be timid. You need to sell hard and you need to sell strong. Why when I say that, do some of you recoil? It's because you think "sell" is a bad word. If you don't believe, you won't sell. If you don't sell, you won't make money. If you don't make money, you won't be in business—which is good, I guess, because apparently you don't believe in what you do. Belief is key. You must believe in what you sell. If you don't, you won't take the necessary action to succeed. If you feel awkward selling, it's because your focus is in the wrong place. You're thinking about you. Stop thinking about yourself. Focus on the outcome. Focus on the customer. Your customers aren’t buying your product, they’re buying a better version of themselves. Don’t sell them the product, don’t sell them the features, sell them the benefits.

052: Why You Shouldn’t Have a Backup Plan if You Have Two Hands and a Willingness to Work
19/04/2016 Duración: 01h20sA common trait I see among successful people is extreme focus on a single goal. Successful people know what they want. They aren't splitting focus, they're going all in on getting to where they want to be. They have one goal in front of them and all of their energy is going into doing the work. I don't like to plan for failure. I'd rather put all of my energy into going forward than slow down and create a backup plan. If I encounter a problem, I'll just face it head on. Even if I fail, what I'm still left with is two hands and a willingness to work hard. Matt has a different approach. He presents a case for making backup plans in this episode—and even backup up plans for your backup plans. I think there's room for both approaches. I also think you're going to really enjoy this conversation on whether it's profitable to spend time, energy, and resources preparing for things that might go wrong.

051: Carving Out Blocks of Focused Time in a Day So You Don’t Get Distracted
12/04/2016 Duración: 42minWe actually love being interrupted. That sounds weird because we often talk about disliking interruptions, but secretly we love them. Push notifications, messages, emails... these are things that we allow to happen to us. If you allow life to happen to you instead of dictating what you will do, you'll never get important work done. But we like these things to happen to us. Why? Because it makes us feel important. If you're supposed to be writing, when you sit there long enough, you'll eventually get a notification of some kind. This notification will tell you that someone enjoyed your work, or someone has a question, or someone needs something from you. This feels good. It feels good to be needed. We want to feel important. But if you want to actually get important work done, you need focused blocks of time. You need time where you can be absolutely certain that you won't be interrupted. Minimizing distractions is one thing, but I'm talking about eliminating even the possibility of interruptions here. T
