Don't Be Comfortably Miserable - Podcast #243
28/02/2019 Duración: 09minThere comes a time when you take a look at how your life is going, where you might not like the answer. Then it comes time to make some changes. We all get comfortable throughout life. But if it's connected to being miserable and we stay in the miserable - then that's not a healthy place to be. Remember, you are not a tree - none of us are. We can move, we can think, and we can make changes. We all have choices - it's how we make those choices that will make a difference. Thanks for listening. Reationships Throughout Life Have Many Lessons - Podcast #242
23/02/2019 Duración: 16minPowerful life lessons from friends happen all throughout life. Making sure we find the time to recognize them throughout life when they happen, is a skill that I think we all need to work on. I have found that the lessons of course are easier to see and reflect upon when it's really too late. Too late in the fact that probably someone is not with any more. There is a quote from Professor Morrie Schwartz said that "death ends a life, not a relationship." The relationship that we had with people that pass on is something we will always have. This podcast is some reflections of when a community goes through a loss, in this case one that is coming soon. This showed me over and over on how important the relationships we have in our lives. Each of us has connections to a lot of different people. It's amazing to see it all in one place exactly how much of impact. Sit back and enjoy the lessons that I learned from this recent event that a community is still going through. Thanks for

12/02/2019 Duración: 11minOn a quick recording today, by myself and on the phone while on the road - I wanted to share some thoughts about the importance of customer service. 05/01/2019 Duración: 29minA fantastic time to sit down with the impressive Mr. Jeff West and talk about a few things that this author talks about learning before she was 30. First off, Jeff and I laughed at the title mainly due to the fact that we both have a bit of a challenge remembering when we were 30. "No Excuses" - Lessons from Brian Tracy's Book - Podcast #228
19/12/2018 Duración: 11minThis book that I'm just about finished with called "No Excuses" by Brian Tracy brings up so many great points. I wanted to share one of them with you here today - "Someday Isle" is something we all deal with and we have the disease called Excusitis that gets in the way of us accomplishing great things. I know I've had my part in this for sure. It's one of those common things that Action cures... and I have not had a lot of action in my life at times. There are some great reminders in this book for you to check out in order to maybe find some new ways of getting off this "Someday Isle". Always interested in your thoughts and feedback on this and any topic that I bring up - so keep in touch and let's have some conversations. Thanks for listening. Celebrate - Podcast #227
16/12/2018 Duración: 12minLast night was a great celebration with my Mom's side of the family to celebrate my cousin's son college graduation. We had 24 people at my parents’ house - not a large house at all - but that was part of the fun being all together with family that we usually don't see that often from at least 4 different states. Part of the Celebration was the fact that we lost my cousin Dave about 4 years ago from a sudden death due to a heart condition that none of us saw coming. The celebration included laughter, stories, food & drink of course, sharing photographs and taking new photographs. :-) That's one thing I wanted to focus on for everyone - with the holidays upcoming and heck, any time you get together with loved ones - it should be a celebration. There are so many little things that have happened throughout our family's history that makes it that much more amazing that we are even here. Celebrate our history. Celebrate the good and the not so good moments - it's all part

Honor Your Past & Future - Podcast #226
13/12/2018 Duración: 11minAnother quote from Twitter that I got my day started with from @JoelOsteen - "If you'll celebrate the people how are ahead of you, honor them, show them respect, the favor that's on them will come to you. Don't be intimidated; be inspired. Let where they are challenge you to be the best that you can be." I took this a step further that it would be about celebrate the people of our past and future. If we work hard on ourselves then we can build things for the people in our present and future, that is one of the most powerful things we can do. It's really in honor of those that came before us too. Sit back and join me in a few thoughts that might help you out. Thanks for listening. Today Will Never Come Again - Podcast #225
11/12/2018 Duración: 09minFound a great Tweet that I retweeted from @ThisInspriesUs that got me thinking. "Today will never come again. Be a blessing. Be a friend. Encourage someone. Take time to care. Let your words heal, and not wound." I just thought this was a wonderful message when I saw it early in the morning and I wanted to get some thoughts out about it for you. Down But Not Out - Podcast #224
04/12/2018 Duración: 12minAfter a few days off - didn't really set out to actually take them off from podcasting - but, a lot of things going on that got in the way. The things going on - final exams at school, grades due, basketball getting a little more intense and busy, things at home, etc. But you know what? These things have always been going on - I've been through them before! So first of all, I knew I would and could get through them. That was experience talking. But emotionally I was drained and feeling down a bit. Those same old feellings that I've always had about myself that kind of came rushing back. But due to many circumstances - as you could check out some from my Facebook Live Video on Dec. 2 - I started to see things differently. So many people to thank... and I tried to thank a few in this podcast. Another thing that really helped me out - listening to John O'Leary's podcast - check this one out for sure: http://johnolearyinspires.com/2018/11/how-to-selflessly-serve-jake-harrima
