Try Something Harder - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 10-16-24 #1379
16/10/2024 Duración: 08minFrom my morning readings today, namely John Maxwell’s “Daily Reader” I found a fabulous reminder that ties in a lot for me. It not only reminds me (and I’m sharing this to remind you as well) about having the willingness to take great risks towards the things I want to do and not play it so safe so often. It also reminds me more to write things down - goals, dreams, etc. “Writing is the doing part of thinking” so I’ve heard from Sam Crowley and many others as to the importance of writing things down & not just thinking about them or saying them. There is a lot of work for me to do to help myself out and to be more bold in what I want to accomplish and getting out of my own way is a big part of it for sure. What is it for you? We All Have Them - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tue. 10-15-24 #1378
15/10/2024 Duración: 13minSaw this powerful reminder about how bad days don’t last and since we all have them at one time or another, I thought it would be a good reminder for all of us. I know I’ve been focusing on when they do sneak up on me, for me to not hang out with them for very long. I’ve been working hard on my reaction to “not great moments” and hopefully having them not last too long, but also learning from them. Another lesson connected to having more gratitude came from a recent wedding that my wife, daughter and I got to attend. Amazing lessons of life at this special event. It was a very emotional time for me and this lesson that I got from (@Lovandfear) really was a great connecting piece to what life is all about! Let me just tell you that Love wins!! No matter what!! Progress vs. Perfection - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 10-14-24
14/10/2024 Duración: 06minFound a great post that actually looked like an old newspaper article. It came from liminal (@Liminal1988) and it reminds us to “Focus on making progress, not perfection.” It helps us to see the importance of having patience in our lives - which seems hard to do just about every day. Our growth as a human being is a journey and that journey goes through all of life for us. It helps us to see that small steps, every day, may not seem to be taking us anywhere, but then one day we look at where we are and how far we have come, it’s a powerful thought to stick with in life. Loved these reminders - hope you find some comfort and strength in them too. Thanks for listening. Whispering Doesn't Help - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1376
14/10/2024 Duración: 07minIn my regular podcast listening mode, I came across a recent show from Ben Newman (@ContinuedFight) and it was a hard hitting, eye-opening and a powerful motivator to get the word out about an important cause that connects with so many people. I am suggesting you check this one out as soon as you can and then share it with others too. It’s all about “eliminating the whisper” of people needing help with addictions, mental illness, etc. We all have issues that we need help with and this is a story to help people come together to make a difference with others for sure. Scott Cochran: Authenticity, Addiction, and the Journey to Recovery is a fantastic conversation between two friends where they both want to make a difference with people that need help. This was a very powerful episode - full of emotions, strength, hope and a call to action for all of us!! Check it out and pass it along too! #EliminateTheWhisper Connect with Coach Scott Cocran: @CoachYeah Full episode on Youtube - Watch Here. Thanks for list

A Great Fix - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Fri. 10-11-24 #1375
11/10/2024 Duración: 07minMore great info that I found from Psyche Wizard (@PsycheWizard) and a followup connection to Mindset Mantra (@mind_metamorph) and it’s all about something that we can do for ourselves. It’s all about self-discipline and how it can solve a BIG CHUNK of our problems that we have. Most people always look for a quick fix on things in life. This is one of them, but it’s something that I at least have to work on every day. When I say it is quick, it doesn't make it easy at all! But it’s worth it for sure to put the effort into building up our own discipline. It’s something that nothing else really controls it, or has a say in whether we do it or we don’t. Another powerful reminder that I of course needed to see and put into action. Every. Single. Day! Thanks for listening. 3 Thoughtful Reminders - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Thur. 10-10-24 #1374
10/10/2024 Duración: 06minFound a great & simple reminder from Mind Essentials (@Mind_Essentials) where three sentences empower us to think and act differently. “Don’t complicate life. We won’t be here forever. Your time is too valuable to waste on nonsense.” This one hit hard today as I saw a post from a former student of mine who just lost her husband. Her and her family are devastated & it is the ultimate reminder for us to take these statements to heart. For me, it’s connected to many things I’ve recently been seeing about not holding back any longer. Way too many things that I want to do, create, help others with, love more in my life, have less hatred / negativity, etc. Just look around you as I bet you have things that are reminding you kind of the same stuff. It’s time for sure to make some changes for the better. Thanks for listening. Don't Hold Yourself Back - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 10-9-24 #1373
09/10/2024 Duración: 10minOver a period of about 4.5 hours yesterday I got four different signs / reminders about doing things in life and not holding back from giving it my all-out effort. John O’Leary’s recent podcasts (listen to them here: Episodes 712 & 713) and our monthly online meeting with our Live Inspired group was yesterday. He, his staff and his guest all connected this point to all of us about making a decision to let our gifts shine through in helping others. Sam Crowley and one of his recent podcast (Every Day Is Saturday) episodes - “Becoming A Voice Of Impact.” Finally there was a friend named Chris from our Mental Toughness Academy with Ben Newman, and one of his posts triggered the same thought. He’s working hard getting through some things in his life where he’s got some options for new projects to work on and he’s working through a few obstacles… just like me… just like all of us. There has been a lot of reflecting lately too as to how I’ve held myself back for most of my life and that in reality, time i

Through Understanding We Grow - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tue. 10-8-24 #1372
08/10/2024 Duración: 06minFound another great little item that I picked up to share with you & I found some tremendous value with this one. From Lorraine Woodrow (@Woodrow Lorraine) this truth came out that I think we all need to connect with a little better. It’s so easy to judge others, but when I do it (which sadly happens way too often), I end up causing myself more troubles for sure. If I were to just try to be a bit more patient and compassionate, I might find myself learning some things that will help me grow into the person that I need to be, in order for me to do the things that I want to do. I’m reminded again, that good things in the world usually take effort and are not easy to do… but they are for sure, worth that effort. Thanks for listening. Don't Be A Blamer - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 10-7-24 #1371
07/10/2024 Duración: 06minIt’s football season of course & whether you are a fan or not, there are still tons of lessons you can learn from this and sports in general. This lesson comes from The Winning Difference (@thewinningdiff1) and it comes from Coach Kirby Smart from the University of Georgia where he’s reminding us not to be a blamer. Coach mentions, “Don’t be a blame guy. That’s the first sign of loser mentality when you blame someone else for a mistake.” The first step in becoming a winner is learning how to win. Remember, we are talking about winning OUR game of life! There are so many different ways to “win” every single day. That’s what we need to focus in on. Keep pointing thumbs, as Gary Vee always says! Become Quiet - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1370
07/10/2024 Duración: 06minFound a very simple and short thought here posted from Reads with Ravi (@readswithravi) along with the quote being from Rumi. “The quieter you become, the more you can hear.” There is total truth in this short sentence. In today’s world it seems there is not any time where we do not have noise and distractions. It takes a focused decision to make sure we slow down and choose to have (and find) enough quiet time in order to calm down, think more, see what’s important in our lives and to make sure we are prioritizing ourselves and those we love. You Are Enough - Daily Thoughts With Coach Daly - Fri. 10-4-24 - #1369
04/10/2024 Duración: 04minLove this message today & it comes from Mark Hickie (@MPHickie) where part of it reminds us that: “ … The words are simple. You are enough. There is no perfection. You were made to be you, as you are, on purpose. It is no mistake that you are this person, in this place, at this time. You are enough & your enough is what changes the world.” He goes on to share some more thoughts that remind us we don’t have to be anything that the world view says we have to be. Yes we are enough, but I like these few words he put into it “...You can keep growing… “ and I think we should do just that. Keep building yourself up with the things that light your soul on fire!! Keep investing in yourself so you can try and be your best that you are possible at being! Life can be magical when you go out and try to be your best every single day! Thanks for listening. Advice From A Tree - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Thur. 10-3-24 #1368
03/10/2024 Duración: 09minFound an amazing reminder for all of us and it’s connected with something that hopefully we see everyday. It’s taking advice from a tree and this great reminder comes to us from Gratitude HQ (@gratefuledu64) and they introduce these thoughts with this one: “We draw wisdom from all different sources — but maybe we should look more closely at nature for inspiration and guidance on living…” I think they are right on target with this one. So many things we can pick up and learn from nature, especially trees. Sit back and listen to this list and I hope you will see how easy it is and I know that I need to do these more often, especially reminded by all the trees I see every single day! I’ve been seeing a lot of posts lately of working hard to live our best lives & this one helps us to do just that! Thanks for listening. So What? - Now What? - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 10-2-24 #1367
02/10/2024 Duración: 04minMore learning as I always remember that success leaves clues. This guy is one who shares these clues every single day in many different ways. Ben Newman has his Burn Podcast - this episode was pure gold. This episode titled “A Strong Lesson in Taking Ownership”, has so many nuggets in it, I’ve already listened to it twice. I will listen to it again soon. Here is the link for his Mental Toughness Academy - check it out. The one key idea I’m connecting here for you is that when things don’t go our way, (and that happens a lot in life) a great mindset (reset) is to say “So what? Now what?” So what is the way to say, hey… it doesn’t matter that whatever happens, Now what am I going to do about it? How will I respond? Take a listen to the link above & take some notes too. Consistency = A Superpower - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tue. 10-1-24 #1366
01/10/2024 Duración: 06minI found a good game plan that all of us can follow for sure and it comes from Reads with Ravi (@readswithravi) and it’s all about being Consistent!! The powerful message that all of us can connect to - “Consistency is incredibly valuable. Consistency is a superpower. Excellence breeds excellence.” This helps to remind me to keep working hard in doing the things that I have to do. With my reading, taking care of myself, investing in my relationships, dealing with the guy in the mirror, and the list goes on and on where I need to be more consistent. I hope you can take something from this to help you on your journey. Thanks for listening. Reunion Reflections - part 2 - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 9-30-24 #1365
30/09/2024 Duración: 09minIn part 2 - here is a great reminder about “stacking bricks” or adding them to our foundation of our lives - where we focus more on the relationships of our past to help us to become better for today and in our future. The life lessons we learn and the people we learn them with are such an important part of our lives. Keep stacking bricks and adding logs to that fire of life!! Thanks for listening. Reunion Reflections - part 1 - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 9-30-24 #1364
30/09/2024 Duración: 07minHigh School reunions don’t come around all the time - and certainly each of them really only come around once. That’s the case with my 40th reunion that happened this past weekend. This is part 1 - some reflections in the middle of it, mainly coming from me taking some time to drive around my old neighborhood a bit and having a TON of great memories. It’s all about the foundation of where I came from and that I (all of us) need to never forget where I came from. Where we grew up - with the good, the bad & the ugly …. are a part of our DNA and it helped to shape things about us. The people for sure that were part of our early lives, helped us in many ways. You don’t need your high school reunion to take these things to heart. Thanks for listening. The Small Things - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1363
30/09/2024 Duración: 07minFound a post from Jon Gordon (@jongordon11) that reminded me about how important the little things in life are AND the fact that they do lead to bigger things that others will see! Versions Of Yourself - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Fri. 9-27-24 #1362
27/09/2024 Duración: 10minWe all go through many changes throughout our life & some of them can of course be scary. When I find things like this one, from Mark Hickie (@MPHickie), it reminds me about the importance of connecting with others to help us get through the challenges we all face. Mark reminds us that “Growth throughout the chapters in our life implies the reality that we must travel out of our comfort zone. As you move outside it, what was once the unknown & frightening becomes your new normal. The hardest thing to do is leaving your comfort zone.” I found as I was reading this post of his and the other part that went with it, there were waves of emotions that came over me. He brings up the connection we have to our previous versions of ourselves and I was instantly reminded of the fact that previous versions of myself are with me all the time. Not only can I lean on those versions of me, but I can still learn from them, since each previous version of myself is still with me today!! I am even reminded that the

Get Serious - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Thur. 9-26-24 #1361
26/09/2024 Duración: 05minSimple message today. Not easy to do I guess since I’m still working on this today and all throughout my life. From, Self-Care Canvas (@selfcarecanvas) brings us this powerful thought (for me it actually is more like a punch in the gut). “If you’re serious about changing your life, you’ll find a way. If not, you'll find an excuse.” I’m being honest in reflecting about many excuses I’ve made, all throughout my life. Really since as far back as I can remember as a kid, way back in elementary school, I’ve gotten used to making excuses. All I can do now is to work on making better choices (like I brought up in the previous episode) just a little bit more often every day. Thanks for listening. BIG Impact - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 9-25-24 #1360
25/09/2024 Duración: 07minAgain… so many things out there to pick up to add value to your life and what you want to do - here is another example. Found this recently from The Winning Difference (@thewinningdiff1) " Everything you do is going to impact your future. So eliminate as many things that don't matter and focus on the things that really do. And, make those matter all the time." - Coach Tom Crean. This reminds everyone that your future is built by your choices. Make the right choices to increase your chances of success. A key for me is to realize that this works for me now at my age and it also works for anyone, of any age, at any time. Another important factor - we all have the choice to do what we want to do. A choice as to what to focus on, each and every day! I know I need to keep working on my choices that I make every single day!! Thanks for listening.
