These Hard Moments - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 1-15-25 #1458
15/01/2025 Duración: 09minIn today’s world, so many people are going through tough moments. Life has them all the time. I found something that was a good reminder for me and all of us, that when we do go through the hard times and it’s from The Winning Difference (@thewinningdiff1) where they had a clip of Kentucky Men’s Basketball Head Coach, Mark Pope where he shared this: “"It's these hard moments that make you grow too. When you can take the hard moments and turn them into something great...that's when you are on a journey." With the right mentality, hard moments don’t break you—they make you.” The tough moments I’m going through, I’m trying to connect with this more and more. I also am looking to improve my response to these tough moments so that I can find areas of growth and learning, instead of just getting all emotionally worked up where I’m not figuring things out and / or seeing possibilities that are there because of the struggles. I also am connecting this to learning from others’ struggles. What’s

Be Your Own Author - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tue. 1-14-25
14/01/2025 Duración: 09minFound another “hit” with another post from Mark Hickie (@MPHickie) and here is what he said about the quote he shared… “We shape our own journeys. Each page is a chance to decide who we are and where we’re headed, no matter the challenges we face. You are the author of your own story. Control your narrative one page at a time.” A powerful reminder of a few things that I connected with here & I hope you can find a few nuggets that you could use too. Thanks for listening. 4 Things - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 1-13-25 #1456
13/01/2025 Duración: 08minSaw a great post from Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) where they share these “4 things you can't get back… The Stone after it’s thrown. The Word after it’s said. The occasion after it’s missed. The Time after it’s gone. - Deanna Wadsworth.” Each of these four things are all easy to connect with and we all can come with our own examples of these that we have done in our own lives. It’s something to keep an eye on every day as these things are a great guideline to have a good life, if we take them into account. I know I need to do more of these for sure. Thanks for listening. Courage & Commitment - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1455
13/01/2025 Duración: 09minFound a gem from The Winning Difference (@thewinningdiff1) and it’s a great lesson for all of us from one of the best coaches that has ever helped be a leader & encourager for young people. “Never compromise your principles; never lower your standards. Whatever it is that you desire to do in life, have the courage and commitment to do it and do it to your absolute best.” - Pat Summit I am reminded that each and every day I need to take the little steps to make sure I stay true to my principles and my standards. To remind myself that the things I want to do with my life and for others, cannot be done by taking easy shortcuts. I need to keep working on improving myself so that I can have the courage and commitment to keep going on doing the things that I want to spend my life doing for others & for my family. Had A Plan - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Fri. 1-10-25 #1454
10/01/2025 Duración: 09minFound a very powerful thought from Mindful Maven (@mindfulmaven_) “Those who died yesterday had a plan for this morning. And those who died this morning had plans for tonight. Don’t take life for granted. In the blink of an eye, everything can change. So forgive often and love with a full heart. You never know when you may not have that chance again.” This got me thinking of course and I hope it does the same for you. It’s a reminder for us to keep trying to be our best in life and that if we do our best every day, when things like this do happen, we will not have any extra grief to deal with. During this recording I had plenty of examples of friends & loved ones going through tough times when someone unexpectedly leaves this world. Lots of emotions rolling in this episode too. Show Up - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Thur. 1-9-25 #1453
09/01/2025 Duración: 06minFound another fabulous post from Mark Hickie (@MPHickie) and truthfully, I’m starting to look for his posts more often too. This one came from a few days ago, but I had to share it with you today. He reminded us that “the world doesn’t need you to know everything. The world doesn’t need you to be perfect. The world just needs you to show up and give it your best shot. So lead by example, share your experiences, inspire others with your actions, and never hold your gifts back.” For me, another powerful example is to not hold back in doing what I want to do and that is to make a difference with others. I need to keep showing up every single day and continue to give it my best effort in doing the things that I know I’ve been called to do. Let this sink in and see what you come up with connecting to this post of his. Thanks for listening. Amazing People - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 1-8-25 #1452
08/01/2025 Duración: 09minFound an emotional and powerful post from Inky Johnson (@inkyjohnson) where he brought up the fact that we don’t hear too much about - “Amazing souls don’t just happen.” I think we all know people that can be called “beautiful souls”. People that just do good things. They encourage, are kind, help others, are giving, full of compassion and encouragement for others. Inky brings up the fact that they just don’t happen. They come from spots in life that had tough moments, heartbreak, pain, suffering, etc. This is a great reminder for us to not only look for & acknowledge these people that we are blessed to have in life, but to also be one ourselves for others. The world needs this more than ever! Thanks for listening. So Ironic - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tue. 1-7-25 #1451
07/01/2025 Duración: 08minFound a very simple but important post from Mindful Maven (@mindfulmaven_) where we are reminded that “Life is so ironic. It takes sadness to know what happiness is, noise to appreciate silence and absence to value presence.” All of these things we experience in life and when we can take a moment and step back to look at these, I think gratitude fits into the mix of all these. So many lessons that these can help us with in life, that’s for sure. I know that I need to recognize when I’m going through these times in life of sadness, noise, and absence to really appreciate and value happiness, silence and presence. Life is full of these moments, I just want to make sure I pay attention to them a bit more often. Thanks for listening. Complicated - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 1-6-25 #1450
06/01/2025 Duración: 03minFound a new source of some great posts as Positivity Inspired (@inspiringmyday) shared this simple jem - “Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.” I think this is one of the truest statements that we all can agree on, even if it is with ourselves and the person looking back at us in the mirror. Each of us I think have our own unique ways of making things better for ourselves, but the opposite is true as well. This is why it’s important to keep working on ourselves every single day. Look to make things simple instead of more difficult. I know for me, it’s a full time job. But that is a job that I will never “retire” from. Thanks for listening. Big Believer - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1449
06/01/2025 Duración: 06minAnother great post from Coach AJ Mental Fitness (@coachajkings) where he shares this from George Kittle said, "I'm a big believer that you surround yourself with good people which brings the best out of you." Coach AJ goes on to remind us to “Surround yourself with people who: • Want what's best for you. • Believe in you. • Challenge you. • Support you. • Inspire you.” What a great mindset to have starting out a new year, but what’s even better is to have this with us all year long. One other important piece of this - make sure you are one of these good people for others too!! The world needs us to do that. Thanks for listening. 3 Keys - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Fri. 1-3-25 #1448
03/01/2025 Duración: 06minSaw a great post from someone who I’ve been connected to for a long time, Jon Gordon (@JonGordon11) shares some things for the new year, but I think they can be used every day! Here is his post: “3 Keys to a Great 2025 1. Keep your Vision Alive-through adversity keep looking forward. 2. Stay Positive-when you hit setbacks believe the best is yet to come. Faith instead of fear. 3. Stay Connected-to your family and team. You are more powerful together than alone.” Again, with most advice for the new year, it’s good for every day too. So many connections to all 3 of these that got me fired up a bit and just keeping things like this going, that’s the key for all of us. Thanks for listening. Challenges of Life - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Thur. 1-2-25 #1447
02/01/2025 Duración: 10minA fired up message that hit me right between the eyes and went straight to my heart from Mark Hickie (@MPHickie) - A great example of people inspiring & encouraging other people as he did with me. He introduced this post with this: “A message for today … Life's challenges often push us to our limits but they can also serve as catalysts for growth & resilience. The process of coming together helps us rebuild & emerge stronger. It's in overcoming adversity that we truly discover our strength & potential.” We all have choices and this one got me very emotional as I was reading it during this recording. Hope this connects to you like it did for me. Thanks for listening. Direction vs. Destination - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 1-1-25 #1446
01/01/2025 Duración: 09minHappy New Year! Here it is the start of Season 9 for my podcast, so first of all, thank you for being a part of my journey that has intersected with your journey. In my regular daily reading from the book “Arete” by Brian Johnson on page 339, he shares some very powerful (and for me emotional) information on our journey through life being a process and it’s not really a destination. It’s a great reminder to be thankful and appreciating the good in our lives and not taking those things for granted. (which sadly, I do plenty of times). I wanted to share this with you to start our 2025 out in a great direction (or whenever you listen to this episode), so I hope you can take something from this episode and plant it in good soil to grow all throughout this year and beyond! Strong People - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 12-30-24 #1444
30/12/2024 Duración: 03minMindful Maven (@mindfulmaven_) reminds us that “Strong people don’t put others down, they lift them up.” It’s too bad that we don’t see this happening with most of our “leaders” in the world in various areas. It’s up to us to keep doing this to be the lessons for others. The world needs this. Thanks for listening. Not Okay, Is Okay - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tue. 12-31-24 #1445
30/12/2024 Duración: 08minI found a powerful poem from a post on Facebook that I wanted to share. It comes from a page called: “I’m going that way.” and this poem has some great reminders for all of us as to even if we are not okay, there are plenty of things that we are worthy of being. The poem brings up a few. I throw some of my own reflections into this and I know you can connect with these ways along with your own too. I mentioned a recent John O’Leary podcast where his guest shares a powerful story that fits into this too. Find the podcast: “A Father Learning to “Walk On” After the Tragic Loss of his Son: Stephen Panus” (ep. 736) by clicking on the link. Amazing and emotional story. On a less sad note, I do want to wish everyone a very happy New Year!! I’m looking forward to Season 9 for me and my podcast in 2025 along with many new & exciting things in my life. I hope you can say the same for your life too in the new year. Thank you all for listening to my show too. It means a lot to me for sure. Thanks for listening.

One Day - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1443
30/12/2024 Duración: 04minAnother great reminder, not only for the end of the year, but for us to make it a habit for every day. This one is brought to us by Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) “One day you'll look back and realize you worried too much about things that didn’t matter.” This is something that of course as I get older, I see it with more clarity. The key is, age has nothing to do with it. There is no age requirement to see this as to pick up this lesson, and I encourage everyone to pick this up as soon as possible in your life.
