09/07/2021 Duración: 55minWelcome to Episode 216 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jeff and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. Diving into the Multiverse again, because Loki can set up so much for the MCU if they allow it. And what's with the Sacred Timeline? Who made it sacred, and why aren't the others important? Is this the real Loki, and is the variant also a Loki? Skynet you say? Well, not yet but Tesla might be making strides towards it and Jeff is all in! He imagines a world where we can drive around and record our podcast while our car drives itself. Think about all the things you can do in a self-driving vehicle. What do we need to get there? WIll 5G enable all of this to become a true reality? Will we be Chauffeured Geeks? Stay tuned! Episode 215 - CryptoGeeks!
07/07/2021 Duración: 01h02minWelcome to Episode 215 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Jeff, Jake and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. Crypto is a thing these days, and many of us don't know what the heck it's all about! Jeff and Jake do their best to break it down for all of us, with a little talk about NFTs. Is there a nefarious purpose behind the mining that is happening, and who would be behind it? Elon Musk? Time will hopefully tell. We jumped into the Multiverse, talking about Loki and then eventually into Spider-man, which had us discussing the best Peter Parker & Spider-man. Who is your favorite? Episode 214 - HobgobliNed!
25/06/2021 Duración: 01h06minWelcome to Episode 214 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, Jeff and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. Talking about villains on this episode, because they are always fun to talk about. However, we're talking about potential real-life villains with Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, who seems to be on a Lex Luthor trajectory. Would that make Musk the Riddler? We relate that to the new Spidey movie coming out and that Ned might become the Hobgoblin. With all the Multiverse stuff happening, who knows what Marvel is gonna throw at us! 23/06/2021 Duración: 54minWelcome to Episode 213 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. M&M...Mitch and Matt Orrin with a hockey heavy episode. We talked a bunch about the new Mighty Ducks: Game Changers show which, oddly enough, features Might Ducks alums helping train a different team AGAINST THE NEW DUCKS!! Sounds pretty crazy, though Mitch gives it the seal of approval. It led us to talk about hockey movies and how it is hard to name a bad one. Whats your favorite hockey movie? Prior to that, we talked about the upcoming Marvel phases and how they could contain characters we desire to see, such as Doom. We know Namor is rumored to show up in Black Panther, maybe the FF4 is close behind. We also got philosophical regarding characters and if they are truly villains, such as Zemo. Is he truly a villain, even though he believ

Episode 212 - Is the Magic Gone?
03/06/2021 Duración: 57minWelcome to Episode 212 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, Jeff and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. Another episode, and another long winded discussion on the MCU. Can they sustain the magic that has captivated us for the last 10+ years with the next phases? This next phase is headed up by magic and the Multiverse. Who will be the big bad in these upcoming movies? There was also a cool theory about how the X-Men could be introduced, mostly from the world that Wanda created on her show...yes, think about that. 22/05/2021 Duración: 01h06minWelcome to Episode 211 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, Jeff and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. Mitch is binging Amazon Prime! He has a month trial and is absorbing as much of their content as possible, which is to our benefit. He watched the Tick and tell us what he thinks, which leads us all to talk about what we know of the Tick, from the comic book, to the cartoon, to the Warburton show, to the current version! Which is your favorite? In the Star Wars universe, we have Bad Batch which is essentially the A-Team in space. Well, thats what it sounds like with the newest cartoon to hit the stream, involving some failed clones that aren't up to code...or something. 12/05/2021 Duración: 01h08minWelcome to Episode 210 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Jake, Jeff and Matt Orrin) are joined by guests at the Chief Bike & Comedy Festival, in Trinidad, CO. This was a special live episode and we were joined by Anthony Crawford. who always has the best questions, and Scoop Jenson, out of NYC. Scoop is a long time fan and regular guest, while also being a Hollywood insider. We had some great discussions, especially about which Superman has been the best. Is it Cavill? Does he get a bad rap because the movies weren't very good, despite him being good in the role? We also talked about the Golden Age of TV ending. Do you agree? This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, Jeff and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. The band is back! Jake joins us for more talk about Falcon & Winter Soldier, and some possible implications for the future of the MCU. Is Chris Evans gonna reprise his role at some point, helping to align the next phase and are we gonna see Jackman as the Wolverine? Are we gonna see Dark Avengers with John Walker and Val? Before Jakes tells us his sadness from reading the TMNT books, on which he ruined with his tears, we talk about Tom Hanks and his brother. Apparently he is one of a group of Hollywood siblings that fills in for his brother in voicework and select video spots. How crazy is that? Then again, are you really listening to US when you listen to the podcast? Hmmm.... You can send your feedback and show topic ideas t

Speaking of Villains, we start listing our favorite in the MCU. Who is yours? Lastly, we talk about the Rock who is running for President...in the year, 2032! The TV, Young Rock, is real good and is possibly setting us up for the People's President! You can send your feedback and show topic ideas to broadcastgeeks@gmail.com. Episode 207 - Time Patrol Squad (Snyder Cut Part 2)
14/04/2021 Duración: 01h06minWelcome to Episode 207 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. We're back to finish our review on the second half of the 4-hour beast that is Zack Snyder's Justice League. Matt was a little less enthused about it than in the previous episode but overall we come to the conclusion that it was better than the 2017 version, although that isn't a hard bar to clear. Some of the stuff didn't make sense at all, even if it was cool to include a Martian Manhunter cameo. There's also a bit of non-spoilery talk on The Falcon and The Winter Solider as well as Godzilla vs. Kong. Mitch also recommends watching Shin Godzilla, a 2016 movie where Godzilla evolves like a giant, gross Pokémon throughout the narrative. Episode 206 - Zack Snyder's Justice League (Part 1)
31/03/2021 Duración: 01h10sWelcome to Episode 206 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jeff and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. We spend almost the entirety of this episode discussing the first half of Zack Snyder's Justice League. This movie is so chock full of superhero antics that it cannot be contained to just one podcast! We talk about what we liked, what we didn't like, the changes made from the Joss Whedon version of the movie, and much more! At the end we briefly chat about The Falcon and The Winter Soldier before calling it a night. We'll be back to wrap this review up on the next episode! Same Bat Time, same Bat Channel! Episode 205 - Marvel's Got a Bohner!
23/03/2021 Duración: 01h11sWelcome to Episode 205 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jeff and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. We had a slightly higher level of nostalgia this episode, where we talked about 80's & 90's movies. One in particular was Grease 2, not necessarily a major hit but impactful nonetheless. And it had a young Michelle Pfieffer! This lead us to talk about best sequel, not including Empire. Do you have a pick? We couldn't go a week without mentioning Marvel, and even Ralph Bohner. We focused on their current direction, specifically with Falcon & the Winter Soldier, now out on Disney+, and how that might end up. Also, how can Sam catch the shield when he throws it? Its made out of Vibranium and he isn't superpowered, like Cap or Bucky. Guess we'll all have to watch and find out! You can send your feedback and show topic ideas to broad

Episode 204 - The Scarlet Mitch
18/03/2021 Duración: 01h08minWelcome to Episode 204 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jeff and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. Wandavision has ended and man, was there a lot to talk about. At least half of this episode was spent discussing the ending, of which was a sensitive topic amongst the Geeks. We were split on the ending; half of us really liked it and the other half was put off by it. Not the show, just the ending. So many questions!! What happens to Vision? Where does Wanda go from here? Will they be together again? All of the inside stuff and fan theories were shot down and put to rest, such as the Pietro from the X-Men movies. What a Bohner! We continue the talks about MCU stuff, especially the upcoming Thor movie. We also talk Samuel Jackson and his movies. This was a fun episode! Episode 203 - Discs & Balls
17/03/2021 Duración: 01h04minWelcome to Episode 203 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jeff and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. Another episode, and we are still talking about Gina Carano's release, but now we have more info. We know who she will be replaced with, or at least what character will take more of a spotlight. We spend little time on it though, because with Wandavision there is so much more to talk about! The MCU has a bunch of movies coming out that might ALL be connected. Both Spidey and Dr. Strange are dealing with the multiverse, and Wanda should have a big role in Dr. Strange. Last, we discuss Burt Reynolds and his movies. Many seem to revolve around a bootlegging theme, or at lest some of his finest works. What's your favorite Burt Reynold's film? Episode 202 - Gina Cara-NO!
16/03/2021 Duración: 58minWelcome to Episode 202 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jeff and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. At the time of this recording, another person opened their mouth a little too wide and couldn't get the shoe out. Gina Carano was let go by Disney from her role on the Mandalorian. Is this another example of cancel culture? We talk about it, and potential implications. Wandavision...am I right?? Pietro shows up, but not the one we thought it would be. Is this setting up something cool for the MCU? When we recorded this, we thought so but nowadays, we aren't too sure. We agree that a Vision/Darcy buddy show would be great! Last we jump over to WB/DC news, starting with movies and shows that come out of the new The Suicide Squad movie, directed by James Gunn. John Cena has his own show coming out apparently! Are there any ties to th

Episode 201 - Jeffy LaRusso: All-City Karate Kid
26/02/2021 Duración: 52minWelcome to Episode 201 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week... while discussing the Netflix series Cobra Kai, the hosts (Mitch, Jeff, and Matt Orrin) learn that Jeff was a karate prodigy back in Illinois and had so much prowess that he skipped a belt level! Dude is practically a Ninja Turtle! We're still a little behind in our weekly WandaVision recap but we start to speculate who in the Marvel Cinematic Universe can help solve the Westview Hex? It could be anyone! Even the Nicolas Cage version of Ghost Rider! The Snyder Cut of Justice League is imminent! Also... what's a movie that you can start watching at any point and you just HAVE to watch the rest of it no matter how many times you've seen it before? Mitch says The Blues Brothers, Jeff says Jaws, and Matt says Starship Troopers. We want to hear yours! You can send your feedback and show topic ideas to broadcastgeeks@gmail.com. Follow us

Episode 200 - Reminiscent Geeks
18/02/2021 Duración: 51minWelcome to Episode 200 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things geek and nerd related, provided our DVR’s have space and our Netflix accounts are our own and none others. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jeff, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. We reached the arbitrary number 200 of our podcast and so we're calling it quits...what? No way, we just got some momentum going! There is always gonna be stuff to talk about so don't fret. Especially with how much content Disney controls and the amount of Star Wars stuff. Speaking of Star Wars, we talk about the Mandalorian and boy, what a finale! Did you know who showed up, or did you need to see the green lightsaber? And how about Rosario as Ahsoka, which should be spinning off into its own show. Mitch has lots of theories that he shares with us. We also talk Wandavision, which started a little slow for some people but definitely picks up, especially at ep 4! Will this show lead into other shows, or even into

Episode 199 - Din and the Fett Man
30/12/2020 Duración: 58minWelcome to Episode 199 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things geek and nerd related, provided our DVR’s have space and our Netflix accounts are our own and none others. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jeff, Jake and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. We're back! Like really, we're back after a hiatus. All those Disney announcements for Marvel & Star Wars have gotten us off the couch and into our recording chairs. Countless shows and movies coming out in the next 2 years gives us something to look forward to. Wandavision looks to be fun, and we determine that Loki must take place right after his exit, stage left in Avengers. On the other streaming front, HBOMax is pissing off ALL kinds of people! They decided to release ALL their movies this coming year on their streaming service, as well as theaters if that is still a thing. Wonder Woman getting it started for them on Christmas Day, after months of pushing it back. Will this spell the end for movie th

Episode 198 - Rest in Power, Chadwick!
22/09/2020 Duración: 01h26sWelcome to Episode 198 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things geek and nerd related, provided our DVR’s have space and our Netflix accounts are our own and none others. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jeff and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. A sad day is upon us as actor Chadwick Boseman passed from Cancer. Wakanda Forever! He will be missed and this opens up so many questions about one of Marvel's most successful movie franchises. Who will take the mantle of the Panther? Will they recast the role? Should Shuri get it? We'll just have to stay tuned and find out We talk about Netflix shows, with a bit of a focus on the Social Dilemma. It's a little disconcerting of a watch, though probably pretty important in this day and age of social media. Be careful with your social media, you don't know who is controlling what content you see, read, and post! You can send your feedback and show topic ideas to broadcastgeeks@gmail.com. Episode 197 - Turtles Turtles Turtles!
22/09/2020 Duración: 01h04minWelcome to Episode 197 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things geek and nerd related, provided our DVR’s have space and our Netflix accounts are our own and none others. This week, the Geeks (Jake, Mitch and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. Umbrella Academy is back, and we are ALL glad for it. That show rocks! Ellen Page might still be the weakest, acting wise, but her character is much better this season. With some shows ending, its nice to have a show like this enter the scene. The Boys season 2 is also on its way (as of this recording!) and that should also be lauded. Mitch continues to finish all of the Marvel Netflix shows and the end is near for him. He catches us all up, before we switch to everyones favorite heroes in a half shell. You can send your feedback and show topic ideas to broadcastgeeks@gmail.com. Follow us on Twitter @broadcastgeeks.
