(And this reminds us of the Double Sauce Fiasco...) So many contradictions! Then: Do we need a "Christian Andrew Tate"? What would that even look like? Christians love the idea of being able to win people to Christ by being cool and popular. But that's not the method of spreading the Gospel that seems to be described in Scripture. Later: What's the difference between a "role model" and an "authority figure?" Contact the Comedian's Family by emailing nextdoor@johnbranyan.com

TCND Baby Names, Snow or No? and Much Ado about NOTHING
06/01/2025 Duración: 47minThis is a pretty meandering conversation at the table... How popular is Bridger's name? There's snow in the forecast, but we'll believe it when we see it... Also--Luke is wearing a fur coat that (he thinks) makes him look like he's ready to overthrow a Roman dictator. At some point, we touch on how to get Artificial Intelligence to write our books for us.Later: There's a place called "Vender City" in Kokomo. Have you ever heard of that? Is it a chain? Probably not.If any of our rambling thoughts triggered some of YOUR rambling thoughts, send them to us here: nextdoor@johnbranyan.com

TCND: We Love Musical Theater (EVERYONE Has ADHD)
30/12/2024 Duración: 48minHey, Neighbor! Please send your messages of shame for Luke to: nextdoor@johnbranyan.com . There are many things we can abide, but removing the cream cheese frosting from the middle of a pumkin roll is NOT one of them... Next: Grandpa John and Grandma Lori bought the annoying gifts this year. But there was PLENTY of music at Christmas! We love singing, and most of us can hear when we're doing it badly. So that's something! Then: What is it about musical theater that is so captivating! (Spoilers, it's EVERYTHING.) With LIVE theater, you never see the same show twice! It's sooooo cool! Don't forget the subtitles...and sing like you don't realize someone is listening. Later: It's annoying when people with "ADHD" describe what goes on in their heads, as if it's not totally normal. The difference between someone with ADHD and someone who gets to church on time is discipline. That's it! Be on the lookout for John's new children's book. He was able to write it because he has learne

Here are several out-of-context bullet points to tell you how bad Andrew's move to Missouri has gone:--Godfather Landlord --Stump vs. car --Cat cheese If you're still confused, you can try listening to the whole episode. TCND: Charity Tree and Fathers Don't Matter (Positive Peaches)
09/12/2024 Duración: 50minWe played disc golf today. But we aren't going to talk about that! The Comedian got an email from a random phone number...asking whether it's appropriate for Christians to buy a violent video game for a disadvantaged kid as a Christmas gift. So... let's talk about Church Giving Trees! (You know what those are, right, Neighbor? Those trees where you pick an ornament and buy a gift for a needy stranger?...) Later: Sheila Gregoire is man-hating again. Why does it bother some women to hear ANYTHING positive about men/dads/husbands? Contact the Comedian's family at nextdoor@johnbranyan.com .
