    With over 25 shows on record, Many Places fields an energetic set of indie folk rock. In addition to local Chicago venues including the Empty Bottle, Schubas and Lincoln Hall, they’ve been featured on Daytrotter, WXRT’s Local Anesthetic and performed at an unofficial SXSW Brooklyn Vegan day party during their time together since 2010. These long-time friends gather every week to write and rehearse in their practice space in Logan Square.

    Joe George is a boy who loves songs. He loves writing them, loves singing them, and loves and sharing them. He has always felt at home while creating music, which has taken him to many places with different projects. As Joe creates songs, he creates his home. A place where his emotions and thoughts can live, and be shared with whoever comes-a-knockin.’ Joe has written and recorded a brand new debut solo record. This record, self-titled ‘Joe George,’ is filled with lush colors and patient space. It is a collection of thoughtful, empathetic songs that deal with reflection, conflict, and simple wonder. The songs are recorded with mostly acoustic instruments, including piano, acoustic guitar, upright bass, drums, and a string quartet. Aside from songwriting, Joe does some work with Chicago company, Reverb.com. He performs and presents gear demos, lesson videos, and some other interesting and entertaining content.

    Meristems finds a way to split the level of fuzzy punk and soft lyrical lines. Grace Urrutia’s voice acts as a soothing melody over distorted guitars and intricate counter-melodies. Her literary message comes through in lyrics, where Hemingway and H. P. Lovecraft act as inspiration to the songs structures. The lo-fi sound production adds to the grungy undertones, yet the dissonant build-ups and mellow drones create a sense of uneasiness and wonder.

It seems that all young Black men from Chicago are the only ones who have to deal with harassment or ostracism, but the “Loudpack Team” doesn’t use this as an excuse to press forward. Although, violence and gunshots ring out in their neighborhood every hour, the music continues. The Loud Pack Team are a new strain of Hip Hop, a different kind of lyricism. Over the years, the crew has assembled a total package of musical geniuses, magnetic charisma, and business acumen The team consists of two lyricists, King Bone and Young Flash. Also, Scotty G (songwriter and hype man) contribute to the team’s solid structure.

    Born and raised in the West Town community of Chicago, Na$im’s broad taste in music genres has matured him as a producer and DJ. With influences from several composers, Na$im’s creativity categorizes itself. Na$im Williams in recent years has emerged as one of the biggest talents coming out of Chicago within its renaissance of hip-hop with his cutting edge production and his life-of- the-party DJ sets.     Quinn Tsan began her career as a back-up singer. After relocating from Minneapolis to Chicago in 2007, she collaborated with artists like Joe Pug, Rachele Eve, Tony Trimm, and others, co-writing verses on hip hop tracks, touring the midwest, providing harmonies on the 2012 EP ‘Wife Songs.’ In 2012, Tsan was invited to join the ensemble for The Fly Honey Show, an annual production by The Inconvenience that spans a 2000+ person audience each year. In 2013, Tsan became a featured musician and dancer and has since become a founding company member of the show. Shortly after, Tsan began writing and performing her own music, initially recording a collection of original songs with Liam Cunningham (Kids These Days, Marrow) and Dorian Gehring (Exit Ghost, Marrow). In 2014, Tsan’s debut EP Good Winter was released to an overwhelming response from listeners and was called “an artist with the sort of drive and purpose that many spend years trying to achieve”, by The Chicago Tribune.
