Ryan Dalton calls in from Cleveland and Seattle comedian now LA based Brian Moote joins me and Rena in studio for a whole lotta talk in Lawhead’s Court.  The 3 comics & friends discuss having recently done Gotham Live in NY and hanging out in the City near & around the Super Bowl.  Moote a long time suffering Seattle sports fan is still riding high off his Seahawks recent Super Bowl victory.  I tell why I rooted against Seattle, Dalton comments on why he stopped watching football with a month left top play and Moote “Knew” it all along.  Richard Sherman’s name alone sends me on an Erin Andrews rant & of course Rena chimes in, I get it reeled back in as we delve into how close both cities were in misery before this past Super Bowl.  Both teams losing whole franchises, and our “Witnessing" Lebron leave is their "what they could’ve witnessed” with Durant never to play there.  Marquee players like Ken Griffey, Randy Johnson & ARod pall eaving great teams for other cities and most of all not winnin

Lawhead’s Court celebrates 1 year in at The Network Studios with Founder of The Networks Studio’s and friend Mike Casentini.  The 2 sit down and shoot the breeze on the coming together on the show, where it originally started, where it has gotten to and  where it is going.  We talk childhood sports, classic cars, the importance of skating while playing hockey and the Olympics.  Jason takes a call from friend and comedian Ryan Dalton who is buried in 4 feet of snow in Cleveland as he tries not to go insane before heading to NY to film AXS TV’s Live at Gotham this Thursday night. Lawhead's Court is back in LA after a great week in New York.  Jason reflects on his recent appearance on AXS TV's "Gotham Comedy Live" and honors Jay Leno as a stand-up great while talking about the future of the Tonight Show and being a tiny ingredient himself in the blender that is comedy.  Rena Marie Villano joins Jason by providing commentary on the recent news of Missouri's Michael Sam and his choice to admit he's is openly gay 2 months before the NFL draft and why it should no longer be an issue in sports.  On this day perhaps the greatest team player in sports history Bill Russell turns 80, Jason tells a story about the day him and his father met Dr. J & how the conversation was filled with stories of both my dad's and the Doctor's favorite player, the original #6. The Lawhead Life talks New York City doing live TV and becoming a regular on the Artie Lange show. 

Lawhead's Court welcomes a former high school basketball player & currently one of the most talented young stand-up's working today.  With success off MTV's Guy Code and a recent appearance on The Jimmy Kimmel Live show, this Staten Island born 20 year old tells us why he hates LA and shares how popularity and recognition can sometimes uncomfortable. Pete tells us about his friendship with Nick Cannon and doing voice on his new rap album and why meeting Mariah Carey once was all he needed. Pete reveals how it was losing his father, a firefighter in 911 and how he's has been able to turn the experience into comedy. Road tripping together to the Irvine Improv, Pete and I quote the movie Jaws and remember a funny homeless guy we met in NYC at 2 am next to a food truck and our favorite sports to watch. Lawhead's Court is pissed!  Jason rants on why the Cleveland Indians are making a huge mistake by erecting a Jim Thome statue and why it is undeserving beyond comprehension. In an already cursed sports city, this is another black on for the city of Cleveland.  Paul Virzi calls in from New York to settle Jason down and change the subject to the Super Bowl this weekend.  Paul reflects on his recent visit to Cleveland and tells a funny story about having dinner with my parents in Lorain. Lawhead's Court sits down with Comedian and old friend Mike Polk Jr.  Mike is well known not just in Cleveland as being one of the funniest comedians around for stand-up as well as producing.  His writing and performing ability has created numerous memorable You Tube videos such as the "Hastily Made Cleveland Tourism Video", "The Factory of Sadness", "My 2 years of Spanish Love Song" and Much more.  Calling in from Cleveland, Jason and Mike talk dads, being a fan & stories of starting in stand-up together.  Rena Marie weighs in on why Mike and I are both still single and if that will ever change and we finish off the show with weather Lebron will come back to Cleveland or not.

Lawhead's Court is glad to have comedian and friend Cort McCown.  Cort is a Hollywood veteran who has see just about everything that town can hand & dish out.  Cort truly has lived The Lawhead Life and has taken it to another level.  He tells us tales of his days at the Playboy Mansion, doing stand-up, being in Vegas for 9 years, hanging with Colt's Owner Jim Irsay, caddying for PGA tour pro Jesper Parnevick and being the life of the party in his role as Quinton in "Can't Buy Me Love" with Patick Dempsey.  Cort's first visit definitely won't be his last to LC as we can't wit to hear more great stories, tune in and enjoy the ones he shared with us.

Lawhead's Court is happy to have comedian & Chicago native, friend and golf buddy John Caponera in the the studio and sit down with a comedy legend.  A sports fan, former college baseball player & hockey enthuisiant on and off the ice, Caponera brings stories of starting out in comedy in Chicago, having 2 thanksgivings,  living down home with his family "neighborhood" style in LA and his Monday Night Football intro.  John shares a great story of a supertstitous college teammate that went on to play for the Indians.
