Our guest Whende Carroll is a board-certified nurse informaticist and founder of Nurse Evolution, “a mission-based information hub guiding nurses to catalyze the health IT landscape” to optimize patient health and the advanced nursing practice. After accumulating experience in the informatics industry, Whende had the opportunity to be a part of a start-up where she used her skills to organize and analyze data. This led to another opportunity working at a start-up, which eventually led Whende down the road of starting her own business– Nurse Evolution! Seeing the gap between informatics, nurses, and IT, Whende began Nurse Evolution to bridge this gap and promote forward-thinking which can impact the nursing profession as a whole.
