Our guest Amber Brown is an RN, MSN, CPNP, and CEO of her own nurse tutoring business I.V. League Tutoring. Making the switch early on from journalism to nursing, Amber discovered her love for healthcare and enrolled in nursing school at the University of Texas and graduated in 2005, working in pediatrics for a bit before deciding to go back for her Master’s in nursing in 2010. While working in pediatric care roles, Amber took a job tutoring in the evening and fell in love with teaching, growing her client base in the process. Officially beginning her business in 2015, Amber started out small but was pushed to go bigger when her small office caught on fire, giving her the push to get a larger space and grow her business further. Now with online and in-person tutoring, Amber’s approach is to meet the learning needs of her clients by offering alternative teaching methods and creating a community of learners.
