This is our first installment of our ongoing Student Series. Izzy Lampre, a MSAT student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison reached out (Thank You) to share her story of becoming an athletic trainer. It was a highly unique story and it was awesome to get to hear it.Izzy came from Australia to swim for the Badgers and in the process had amazing interactions with her athletic trainer and as she worked with them, she discovered what the profession was and that it might be a part of her future. Rob Dicks does just a little bit of about everything. Not only does Rob wear multiple hats as an athletic trainer, he goes beyond that with administrative duties, community volunteering and his mentorship.In this episode we talk about two major topics that all athletic trainers probably have a connection to. This is the second episode featuring the ATPPS. In this episode, we talk to Tara Saprano and Aaron Hajart who are an integral part of the educational aspect of ATPPS. Aaron talks more in-depth about the annual meeting and all the aspects of planning educational material, getting feedback on what people want to learn, and making sure the material is staying as current as possible.
