Lockdown has put many people into some form of dysfunction. There is no way to escape our challenging family members. News and social media are overwhelming. And for many, it’s just too much. Without our normal outlets and healthy interactions, sin and dysfunction come to the fore. The incredible thing about grace is that there is enough for wherever you find yourself. The bible has so many examples of everything going wrong followed by... but God intervened. As the world enters into a time of crisis and uncertainty, there is something we as Christians have that others don’t… we have a but God statement that we can add to the end of our circumstances.

We all struggle with our perspective when life is challenging and there is a lot that seems out of your control. This week we’re going to look at the life of Joseph to see God’s perspective on what we often feel are times of purposeless hardship.

This week’s But God story is one of the coolest, and many may not know it that well. It involves curses, invisible angels and a talking donkey! It’s the story of a pagan prophet and soothsayer called Balaam who tries to curse God’s people but, instead, discovers a principle that was true then and is still true today. You can’t curse what God has blessed… and He has blessed His people. Join us online this Sunday to find out what this means for you right now and for your future.

There are over 60 times throughout the bible, that an impossible situation is described, followed by a but God statement. In the second verse in the bible it tells us that the earth was formless and void and then it says “And, which could be translated But... God said let there be light.” Join us this week as we look at how God has continued to speak life order and creativity into formless and void spaces. We will discover He God calls us to declare His word into our circumstances.

The apostle Paul, perhaps the most profound Christian to ever live said “For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” As we celebrate Easter, we are going to explore what made Paul believe that understanding Jesus’ death, life and resurrection is worth giving your entire life to.

Jesus was made a curse so that we could receive His blessing. One of the greatest curses is poverty. Poverty isn’t just a lack of finance, but an expectation of lack in any and often every area of our lives. At the cross, Jesus doesn’t just break curses over us, he also gives us power to generate wealth in every area of our lives.
