    24/03/2023 Duración: 06min

Welcome back to the Cause Cinema Spotlight.  3 projects.  Under 10 minutes.   We’ve got some period pieces this week, and a cop thriller with more drama behind the camera on the production than the movie itself.   Let’s start there, with Dragged Across Concrete. Festivals and critics responded well to the filmmaking, but the subject matter and then behind-the-scenes accusations caused the production company to shut down. Casting Mel Gibson always causes controversy, but this film's scandals escalated from its handling of police brutality and racism.  The story chose to directly address real-life issues like racial profiling and police brutality, while some of the actual police work is questionable. You be the judge. This week's picks include: Dragged Across Concrete Mary Antoinette Living And that’s a wrap for the Cause Cinema Spotlight this week.  Hope you enjoy this week’s picks.
