Had a bit of a longer ride in with the snowy & icy roads.... that just means extra podcast listening time.   A couple of different co-pilots giving me some great stuff to think about.  It helps me to come up with a message for you, every single day.  Our own perspective on things, especially our own lives - have many parts to it.  Here are a few thoughts on making it the best we can.

Love this quote I saw on my way in this morning on a sign at an Accounting firm on one of the roads I travel on.  Got me thinking & I hope it gets you thinking about the person you want to become in order to be "successful".  Gratitude is a foundational item in this for all of us.  Remember, Success leaves clues!

After our awesome weekly Podcast Mastermind session, I came away very inspired to share this message with you.  We all have our past... think back to your past as there are great & powerful lessons to draw on from. Going through my Leadership calendar on my desk (given to me as a gift last year from a good friend here at school) - it's from Nov. 9, but the message is clear - from Diane Sawyer:  "I think the one lesson I have learned is that there is no substitute for paying attention."  Today's part 2 - is paying attention to ourselves and what's going on in our hearts, our minds, etc.  Listening to the voice once in awhile is a good thing.  

Driving in with my co-pilot, Mitch Albom and his podcast "Tuesday People", offered me a great reminder about being present & paying attention. Go HERE for all of Mitch's podcast.

The final piece of the 5 puzzle piece parts on regrets and it's all about remembering that Happiness is a Choice!!

Bigtime reminder for all of us today - especially me - with the regret of not keeping in touch with friends more throughout life.  I will be reaching out to a few longtime friends today & letting them I am thinking about them. How about you?

Learning from others is always a key in life - these lessons here are powerful!! We can do something about it now in our own lives, where others may not have & they regret it at the end of their lives.   Being able to express our feelings - while we are alive, living our lives with those we care about - can be a HUGE difference maker for all of us!!

Continuing on with 2 of 5 - don't work so hard where it takes you away from your family, friends, etc.  Nobody ever said on their deathbed that they wished they spent more time on the job.   

I found a powerful post from 2 of my former students - of which I remind myself that I am always looking to learn from my students, current and former ones.  There are 5 lessons about the Top 5 Regrets of the Dying as reported by Bronnie Ware, Australian nurse / Hospice.  Today, is 1 of 5 to share with you... "I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life other's expected of me."Powerful lessons today and the rest of the week for sure.  Tune in & share this show with others.
