Husker247 gathered during the midpoint of Nebraska’s second bye week to talk about the Purdue game, Nebraska’s team as it heads into the final five contests, Mickey Joseph and where things sit with the recruiting. Nebraska has a chance for its first three game winning streak since October 2016, when the Huskers started 7-0 ahead of a critical game against Wisconsin.  This effort at a trifecta looks radically different as the Huskers have battled back from a 1-3 start to evening things up and sitting at 3-3 overall following wins against Indiana and Rutgers.  That’s why it is the perfect time to get hyped for this game against Purdue on Saturday. Nebraska football survived on Friday with a 14-13 win. On Sunday John Bishop of 1620 The Zone joined Mike Schaefer to look back at the game and what happened. The two start the conversation with Nebraska’s slow open to the game and the defense’s quick rebound following an ugly first drive.
