06/05/2022 Duración: 48minWelcome to Episode 256 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. Mitch keeps flip flopping on Halo. One week he hates it, this last week it's great! He gives us the breakdown on the Halo show and why anyone should watch it. Winning Time is still winning the hearts of many people, although some of the people it's about don't feel so lovey about it. Lastly, we talk about streaming services. If you had to get rid of any, which ones would it be? If you could keep only one, do you know what it would be? Let us know! Episode 255 - Moon Knight Mitch Jones
29/04/2022 Duración: 53minWelcome to Episode 255 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, Nate, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. As the title suggests, Moon Knight is discussed. We're trying, as is the main character, to figure out what the heck is going on in his head! The show has been fun and has strong implications for the future of the MCU especially since Moon Knight will eventually appear in a movie. Doctor Strange has more trailers and we are getting more excited for that! There is so much to unpack in the trailer, which means they'll probably not delve into ANY of those cool reveals. Speaking of They, WTF is going on with Ezra Miller? There are serious doubts as to when the Flash movie will be released and some of us think they should ditch him and cast someone else. However, rather than re-film, they should just digitally place Grant Gustin as th

Episode 254 - MultiStrange & the Midnight Sons
23/04/2022 Duración: 01h17minWelcome to Episode 254 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, Nate, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. Ever wonder what drugs the old animators and cartoon creators were on? Of course WE do, and we talk about all of our favorite shows from back in the day. The old Hanna-Barbera show, even up to regular programming such as Alf. Apparently, that guy was a creep and would get cancelled today! His large nose having a penchant for bad things possibly to put up it! We then take an interesting dive into the world of Sonic, talking about the sequel and possible spoilers regarding characters. And lastly, we're getting pumped for Doctor Strange. Who are you hoping appears in that film? You can send your feedback and show topic ideas to broadcastgeeks@gmail.com. Follow us on Twitter @broadcastgeeks and on Instagram @broadcast_geeks. Please

Episode 253 - Middle Earth Mitch Jones
14/04/2022 Duración: 01h11minWelcome to Episode 253 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, Nate, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. We've seen a lot of change in the world, and this might take the cake. Mitch might have become a fan of horse and sword! In preparation for playing a Hobbit at the Nerd Roast, Mitch jumped into Middle Earth for a taste of Tolkien goodness. He gives his thoughts on it, give it a listen. Oh yeah, Moon Knight is out and we talk about the newest addition to the Marvel Universe with all of his personalities. Episode 252 - Rick IS Morty
07/04/2022 Duración: 01h14minWelcome to Episode 252 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, Nate, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. Moon Knight hit the small screen the night we recorded this, and anticipation was mixed, though mostly high. There are some concerns about changes made to the character and the story but I guess we'll have to see. On the other side of the publication pond, we talk a bunch about DC titles starting with DC vs Vampires. This brought up the question about whether or not Flash could become a vampire. Wouldn't his metabolism stop that from happening? Possibly the same with Superman, wouldn't you think? We also talk about Batman throughout the ages, his highs and lows. What are your thoughts on all of this? You can send your feedback and show topic ideas to broadcastgeeks@gmail.com. Follow us on Twitter @broadcastgeeks and on Instagram

Episode 251 - Downpool
31/03/2022 Duración: 01h24minWelcome to Episode 251 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, Nate, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. We get caught up on some of the smaller, less known shows that really get us excited. South Side and Detroiters get a good amount of time. There are all kinds of great content that these big streamers aren't promoting and people aren't watching, which is really sad. We talk about messing with people's algorithm by picking weird shows. Speaking of which, Matt Orrin is watching Rick & Morty...finally! We talk about it. So, do YOU ever mess with people's algorithms? Let us know. You can send your feedback and show topic ideas to broadcastgeeks@gmail.com. Episode 250 - Hot Tub Crime Machine
24/03/2022 Duración: 01h09minWelcome to Episode 250 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, Nate, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. This episode was Baked & Bald, as both Nate Balding AND Chris Baker were part of the recording. We had to get Baker's Batman Assessment, and it came in positive as we discussed deep Bat lore. We talked about some of the favorite tropes that were omitted from the movie such as the pearl necklace hitting the ground, and also some of our favorite obscure villains. Listen to hear which actor wants to play Egghead in a Bat movie. We also talked Trek for a bit, about Picard's progress, and a new show, Strange New Worlds before we brought up trailers and upcoming releases. Sonic 2 has people excited, probably not as much as Huey and Butcher returning for the next season of The Boys. What are you most looking forward to coming out? Y

Episode 249 - Going Monkey on a Frog
17/03/2022 Duración: 01h09minWelcome to Episode 249 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. Grab your socks, have we got a banger of an episode! Nate Balding is back to drop some comic book knowledge on all of us, and he joins us as we discuss The Batman. We focus mainly on the movie, though how can you not discuss ALL of Bat lore. The movie was well received by all of us, and it was not without faults. Pattinbat's Bruce Wayne was a tad too emo but his Batman was pretty solid. The detective takes front and center in the movie and that is always refreshing. Will there be another trilogy? What villains are we hoping to get in any future installments? Listen and find out the answers to both of those questions, if you dare. You can send your feedback and show topic ideas to broadcastgeeks@gmail.com. Follow us on Twitter @broadc

Episode 248 - Spidermen Kane
10/03/2022 Duración: 01h13minWelcome to Episode 248 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. Have you seen Pam & Tommy yet? Apparently, it is a real banger and it stars Sebastian Shlong. Wait, is that right? Jake would say yes to all that so it must be true! Speaking of new content, it seems Apple+ might now be at a point where there is plenty of options to justify getting it. The Righteous Gemstones gets plenty of play in its usual slot on the pod as Mitch and Jake go over some of the gruesome details from the show. Spiderman ends us off because there are questions about the movie, and all the little differences between the Spidermen. You can send your feedback and show topic ideas to broadcastgeeks@gmail.com. Episode 247 - Ralph al Ghul
03/03/2022 Duración: 01h16minWelcome to Episode 247 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. Another week has gone by and we are STILL talking about Peacemaker. We know there will be a second season, though we know nothing about it yet. Will Amanda Waller retaliate for what her own daughter did? Will that effect the team? Does Vigilante have abilities that we don't explicitly know about? I guess time will tell. Next, we talked about local legend, Sam Tallent, and his book that's sweeping the nation. It's called Running the Light, and its about a stand up comic that travels the country do shows and apparently being a terrible person. And it's not self referential! Lastly, we talked about the King's Man, and Mitch gave us the breakdown of it. Do you like the series? If so, let us know! You can send your feedback and show topi

Episode 246 - Cad Brained
24/02/2022 Duración: 01h15minWelcome to Episode 246 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. We talk This Week in Geek, which should be a new segment on our show! Right around the Peacemaker season final (which was great!!) we find out there will be a season 2. Eagly be Praised! The last episode had some cool cameos and great story, and marks a new beginning for our ragtag group of heroes. Looking forward to that next season. On the other side of the comics pond, we talk about the new Dr. Strange movie, which just had a new trailer released. We see characters we know, we hear voices we recognize, all of which gets us pumped for the movie. We throw all kinds of speculation out there, as we are wont to do. What are your thoughts? Episode 245 - How Grogu Got His Force Back!
21/02/2022 Duración: 01h08minWelcome to Episode 245 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. Despite what's happening in the world, its really down to 3 things: Boba Fett, Peacemaker, and the Righteous Gemstones. John Goodman might have to change his name to Deadman after whats happened on the show! Boba Fett also bringing out some major players from other Star Wars shows, such as Cad Bane. Lots of reaction to how he looked, and whether it was accurate to the show...how did you think he looked? Lastly, everyone's favorite non superhero show, Peacemaker, is getting more intense. James Gunn is definitely proving himself to be a major presence in the comic book world of TV and film. Is there anything he cannot do well? Episode 244 - Who’s the Bossk?
18/02/2022 Duración: 56minWelcome to Episode 244 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. The Book of Boba Fett, aka Mandalorian 2.5, is getting more exciting with each week. Beloved characters making their way back and new characters making waves. It seems that they are blending the two shows together at some point because Mando is getting a lot of screen time. What's up with that Wookie, and his aggression?? We see him commit hate crimes! Peacemaker continues to be the most fun show to watch currently, with very likeable characters. Eagly might be the best mascot ever. Watch this show as quickly as possibly and prepare for the inappropriate humor. You can send your feedback and show topic ideas to broadcastgeeks@gmail.com. Episode 243 - Midnight Thaddeus Jones
11/02/2022 Duración: 01h18minWelcome to Episode 243 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. Peacemaker is the show to watch, with John Cena shining as the title character. Its vulgar and crude, and full of laughs and they just dropped Batmite, so there's that! We speculate who would be best for that diminutive role. Meanwhile, on a planet called Tatooine, we learn more about Boba Fett and his adventures as the regional Daimyo. We finish up by jumping into the televangelical world of Righteous Gemstones. Episode 242 - PanDAMic
07/02/2022 Duración: 01h16minWelcome to Episode 242 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. Piper Shepherd joins us this week, with all kinds of opinions on Righteous Gems, much to Mitch's delight. We discuss talent coming from SNL during it's lifetime and which era had the best ensemble, other than the Phil Hartman years. We also talk Peacemaker, which is so much fun to watch. John Cena plays the role perfectly, better than in the movie! You can send your feedback and show topic ideas to broadcastgeeks@gmail.com. Episode 241 - Master Podcaster
02/02/2022 Duración: 01h04minWelcome to Episode 241 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. JD Lopez joins us this week, as where the title of our episode comes from. While we discuss the MCU with him, he asks us the important questions...such as our bottom 3 films. Is it easier to name our bottom 3 than our top 3? After, we dive a bit into the Vel Johnson-verse, where his character from Die Hard is the cop in Family Matters. What other shows get tied in? Episode 240 - Union Geeks
26/01/2022 Duración: 01h06minWelcome to Episode 240 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. The day we've all been dreading has finally come upon us. Betty White has passed away, RIP Betty White. We lament over her passing, before we talk the usual stuff. Like Hit Monkey, which marveled all the way to the last episode! Meanwhile, in other parts of the mouse house, Boba Fett is becoming a power house as a Daimyo on Tatooine. We get to see what happened to the bounty hunter after escaping the Sarlac pit and hanging with the Tuskens. You can send your feedback and show topic ideas to broadcastgeeks@gmail.com. Episode 239 - Cowabunga Geeks
20/01/2022 Duración: 01h01minWelcome to Episode 239 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. We start off with the Matrix, which appears to be a tad polarizing. Someone in our group HATED it and puts it up as the worst movie ever. The rest of us are either undecided as to how bad it is, or just haven't watched it yet. Have you seen it? Hawkeye was still fresh on our minds at this point and we can't stop talking about. However, we go a little deeper to talk about Yelena and a bit of her arc, within the show and beyond. We digress over to other shows, such as Doom Patrol and South Side. Very different properties but both real good. You can send your feedback and show topic ideas to broadcastgeeks@gmail.com. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, Jeff and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. We talk Spidermen, and there is definitely no shortage of them! We've all seen the movie, amiright? It's so good, and there is a lot to digest including some Garfield goodwill. Honestly we talk Peters Spidermen most of the episode. It gets to the point where one of us storms out of the episode! You can send your feedback and show topic ideas to broadcastgeeks@gmail.com. Episode 237 - Behind the Blow
03/01/2022 Duración: 01h07minWelcome to Episode 237 of Broadcast Geeks! On this podcast we discuss all things pop culture provided that our DVR’s have space and our streaming accounts are paid up. This week, the Geeks (Mitch, Jake, and Matt Orrin) are virtually together to discuss all things geek. The Hoff starts off the conversation, with talk of Baywatch from the original to the Baywatch Nights. Were you a bigger fan of David Hasselhoff for his singing, or his acting? Or do you just take whatever Hoff you can get? At this point, Hawkeye is done but we are gonna be talking about this show for some time, it was that good! Kingpin is the bad guy, with D'onofrio back as Fisk was a lot to contain, especially with Spiderman coming out the next day! We'll talk about THAT on the next episode.
