Members of Congress have announced they will begin the procedings on Impeachment of the President. They have not grounds, but they will do anything that is dirty to regain their power. Ageism is prejudice or discrimination on the grounds of a person's age. Ageism in recruitment is an increasing problem. This is a very common practice of discrimination in job hiring by companies and businesses. The AARP reports that 1 in 5 workers in the United States is over the age of 55 Nearly 65 percent of workers say that they have experienced agebased discrimination at work and 58 percent of those surveyed believe that ageism became apparent starting at age 50. I have seen this concern from people at the age of 30 and 40. Ageism is a serious issue that should be treated the same as sex, race, and disability based discrimination. Raising public awareness about the issues ageism creates can help. As the population of older adults continues to increase, finding ways to minimize ageism will become increasingly important. Every single day when I go out, eat at a resturant, people all around me are on their cell phones texting, Instagramming, Facebooking, an all forms of social media. Two people can be sitting across from each other and both are on their cell phones. The skills of personal communication with each other has almost vanashed. We text but see no human emotion. I have been down in my Palm Beach home and office paiting and getting everything ready for the final move. I have learned that I am very old because my body is telling me the story of stiffness rom painting and stretching, lifting, and moving stuff. However, I learned that if I painted in a consitent stroke of the brush of paint, the wall looked good. Everything that we do we have to be consistent, that is how we get to success.
