The Yankees beat the Rays for a fourth straight game on Monday, winning 4-2 at Tropicana Field. Gerrit Cole was dominant, the offense did just enough and Wandy Peralta closed the door in the ninth as the Yankees improved to a ridiculous 50-17.

The Yankees needed to go to Toronto and win one game. They won two and won the three-game series, but they could have won all three, blowing a five-run lead in the series finale. I'm not mad the Yankees lost a game. I'm mad with the way they lost since it's possibly another precursor to what Yankees fans could see in October.

The Yankees won all three games in the series despite only scoring eight runs on 12 hits, thanks to their league-best pitching staff. At 12 games back in the division, you can cross the Rays off as a threat to the Yankees.

The Yankees won their sixth straight game on Wednesday, beating the Rays 4-3 at the Stadium. Nestor Cortes was once again superb, Aaron Judge hit his 25th home run and Kyle Higashioka hit a three-run home run. The Yankees have now won 13 straight home games and 13 of their last 14 games overall.

It was one of Cole's best starts as a Yankee given his past struggles against the Rays, and Jose Trevino summed up Cole's start nicely by saying, "He did what he's supposed to do."

Thankfully, the entire Yankees' offense stepped up to erase his miserable performance and lead the Yankees to a 10-7 win.

The Yankees suffered their first lopsided loss of the season on Wednesday, losing 8-1 to the Twins. It took until the fifth inning of their 56th game of the year to play what an unwinnable game as the starting pitching was bad, the relief of the starting pitching was bad and the offense provided just one run on four hits. These are the types of games that happen over the course of a 162-game season, and the Yankees managed to play one-third of their season without having one happen.

The Yankees did what they always do to the Twins on Tuesday, beating them 10-4. Jameson Taillon wasn't good and Aaron Boone was atrocious, but Aaron Judge and Anthony Rizzo powered the Yankees to their seventh straight win.

The Yankees are still without two everyday bats in their lineup, but that didn't stop them from beating up on Noah Syndergaard and the Angels in a 9-1 win on Tuesday. Matt Carpenter and Jose Trevino each provided two-run home runs as the Yankees managed to win another game with a spring training-esque lineup.

The Yankees went into this four-game series needing to win just two of four against the Rays in Tampa. They won one of those on Thursday in the series opener to extend their division lead to five in the loss column over the Rays. Now they are set up to potentially have a big weekend at Tropicana Field even with their spring training-esque lineup.

The Yankees ended their three-game losing streak by beating the Orioles in back-to-back games. Now they embark on the biggest series of the season with an injury-depleted lineup and an underperforming bullpen and offense. The goal at the Trop is simple: win two of the four games.

The Yankees found themselves in another close game and battle with the last-place Orioles on Tuesday at the Stadium. Thankfully, they were able to avoid a fourth straight loss with a 7-6 win in 11 innings. Jose Trevino was the hero of the game.
