June 26th, 2022 - Having a Theology of Suffering: The Path through the Greatest Distraction Pastor Michael Lodge Jesus warned the disciples that life would not be easy and there would be trials and tribulation.  In His final moments with the disciples, Jesus wanted to warn them of the greatest distraction that could cause them to fall away from everything He desired for them.  Jesus wanted them to know that the promise was not to avoid suffering in life but that He would be with them in the midst of their suffering.  Does your suffering cause you to fall away from Jesus?  What if your suffering could cause you to fall into His joy and peace? The Life of Christ Pastor Michael Lodge Jesus has left us an example of life that we can follow!  We can have His mind, His heart, and His life.  Jesus' life was lived to give us an example of what it looks like to be fully alive.  When He proclaimed to be the way, the truth, and the life, He was giving us the tools to experience life fully alive in His name.  As we are sanctified, we should become more fully alive.  Where are you in finding life in His name? Jesus left His disciples with a command to "Love one another as He loved them". What is new about that? What does it really mean to love like this? As Jesus' disciples we should develop a heart for each other that reflects His heart towards us; a heart of genuine love, full of grace and truth for one another. We should desire to see others know the love of Christ as we do.

The Mind of Christ Pastor Michael Lodge Jesus begins our sanctification with a foundation that shapes our identity.  The example He gives us in John 13 shapes our image from the inside out.  This example is more than a one time action. In the wake of this celebration, Jesus steps in to talk about the security only found in His victory. My sheep know my voice, I give them eternal life, and NO ONE is gonna take you out of my hands. I and the Father are ONE. You can trust me and find security in me. In Jesus alone, we find that we have a true hope secured.
