Like the food God provided for his people in the desert, God provides us food for our spiritual journey. This food is the Body and Blood of Christ.

Baptism begins a journey into Christ by which we grow into an ever deeper unity with Christ

We are sent by the Spirit to convey the forgiveness of God and to gather people into the one Body of Christ, the Church.

Ascending to heaven, Jesus begins to bring together the realm of the material and the spiritual. This will be achieved fully only at the end of time.

The risen Lord is with us. He is especially with us in our Eucharistic gathering.

The Word of God created the universe; healed the Son of the royal official and raised Lazarus from the dead. It can also heal us of the sickness of sin and give us new life.

Jesus came to heal our blindness - the blindness that cannot know the way to life.

Jesus yearns to give "life-giving water" to each of us.

Second Sunday of Lent

Through Adam, we have inherited death. Through our baptismal oneness with Christ, we will inherit eternal life.

Jesus admonishes to build the house of our lives on the solid foundation of his teaching.

Believing in God's love for me is essential if I am to put my trust in God and put God first in my life.

Our love, our compassion and our mercy must reflect the love, compassion of our heavenly Father

Central to the Beatitudes is humility. We acknowledge that all is gift from God and we are aware of God's overwhelming mercy

Like Peter, Andrew, James and John, we are to place our relationship with Jesus before everything else in our lives.

Holiness is the presence of Christ Jesus within us. It is manifested by mercy, compassion, and the struggle for justice. When Christ shines through us we bring his light to the world.

Our baptism sends us on a mission to be witnesses to Christ -- witnesses by the quality of our lives
