Scalpers and gamers stand off over a massive amount, over 3,500, of PS5s and Xboxes selling at almost double or over double the price. Dan and Dave give their thoughts on the matter. Sony finally drops a presentation of the PS5 UI and it looks... good! Dan and Dave discuss all the cool new features. Also in the news, NBA 2K21 tries to heighten the immersion with haptic feedback, Microsoft's the Initiative hires two former Naughty Dog staff members and GameStop will reportedly get a cut of Xbox games, even if you’re not buying them from GameStop.

Sony finally gets in on the teardown game and gives us how the system all comes together. Dan and Dave get into all the CPU, GPU, I/O and cooling goodness. Also, it clocks in as the biggest game console ever. In the news, Doctor Strange is confirmed to be in the new Spider-man movie, Microsoft partners up with Gamestop and John Rambo steps up as a Mortal Kombat fighter.

Despite two new consoles on the horizon, the biggest news this week is Sakurai's announcement of Minecraft Steve for Smash Bros. Billy Mitchell drops in on AEW Wrestling, Spider-Man Remastered gets a new Peter Parker, Google's new Chromecast with Google TV won’t officially support Stadia at launch and the Tokyo Game Show gives Animal Crossing: New Horizons game of the year. All that and more on episode 238 of Rated G.

On this weeks episode, we are joined by special guest Lily Zaldivar to talk about her time with Viz Media, IGN and the Nintendo Voice Chat. Not to be outdone, Sony steps up and announces launch date and prices for the PS5 and surprise, they are very reasonable. They open the conference with a Final Fantasy XVI trailer and Dave goes a little nuts. They end it with a teaser for a new God of War and Dave and Dan go a little nuts. Sony confirm no PS3, PS2 and PS1 disc support on the PS5 and Nintendo stops production of the 3DS after 9 years. All that and more on episode 236 of Rated G.

Microsoft, in an effort to get ahead of the leak, drop the price of the Series X and announce the Series S and price. Sony then races to announce a presentation soon after. Hopefully we'll get the price. Also in the news, Ninja returns to Twitch in the biggest set of moves from Twitch to Mixer and back to Twitch and we get some next gen game release dates. All that and Dave tells his harrowing weekend river adventure.

We finally get the Mario celebration we were all waiting for. The Mario 35th Anniversary Nintendo Direct came out last week and it was a big one. Dan and Dave go over all the exclusive and limited content. Also in the news, AT&T is no longer looking to sell their WB Gaming division and Hello Games is working on a huge, ambitious' new game. All that and pilots reported a mysterious jetpack man in commercial airspace on episode 234 of Rated G for Gamers.

At the top of the show, a somber moment as we remember Chadwick Boseman. In the news, Gamescom kicks off their online show, Geoff Kieghley confirms the Game Awards for this December and Nintendo is now Japan's richest company. A new Batman trailer shows off Pattinson's acting chops, Ben Affleck confirmed to return as the Batman in the Flash movie and we get two new games with the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Gotham Knights. Call of Duty's next game is set during the cold war and Nintendo has a killer Indie Showcase and Dave rants about bad UI/UX in gaming on episode 232 of Rated G for Gamers.

At the top of the show, Dan talks about his new mixology skills and Dave's taking a trip to see the family. In the news, Apple and Google remove Fortnite from their app stores, Epic sues Apple over anticompetitive behavior, Halo Infinite is delayed till 2021 and Remedy's Control gets an ultimate edition with exclusive graphical updates for next gen consoles.
