Dave and Dan are back from a long Fourth of July weekend and have some good stories to tell. Lots of sun, fireworks and 80s goodness by way of Stranger Things season 3. Dan sees John Wick 3 and Spiderman - Far from Home and Dave finally picks up Mario Maker 2.  In the news, Nintendo looking to the future regarding their next controller, Sony is rumored to be buying some game developers and PES 2019 gets removed from PS Plus this month. Also, in our convo of the week, Dan and Dave drop their Game of the Half Year nominations.

We've got a special episode today folks. Friend Derek Lieu is our guest on the show. He's a video game trailer creator who's worked on some of our favorite games and probably yours too. Dan and Dave get into the business of making a quality game trailer, how he got started and his thoughts on this years E3. Also, in the news, Youtuber Desmond 'Etika' Amofah found dead off the coast of Manhattan, President Trump proposes tariffs that would affect the price of video game hardware and accessories and we now get confirmation that games will cost full price on the Stadia platform.

EA's back at it and up to it's old tricks. They are lobbying heavy to prevent loot boxes from being banned. Rated G covers the latest in the ongoing saga that is ethics in loot boxes. Also in the news, Amazon lays off dozens of developers from their game division, Jedi - The Fallen Order has Metroid like mechanics and Alpha Protocol gets taken off digital retail stores. All that and as a special treat, the inaugural episode of the GPA Roundtable. Our topic is best gaming console of all time.

It's the first episode since E3 has ended so it's time for Dan and Dave to look back at all the conferences, all the announcements and give our thoughts on what they loved and what they hated. Also, the votes are in and we have a prediction winner. It was a close one just like every year but only one can take home the championship belt. Listen in to see who takes it. In the news, we get pricing and specs on the Atari VCS, Konami throws it's hat in the ring of the mini console game and Nintendo explains why they chose to delay the new Animal Crossing. E3 is in full swing folks and we've got your coverage of the first few days. Microsoft, Google and EA all have had their conferences/shows and also a surprise visit from THQ Nordic. We break down everything that went down and chat about what our highlights and lowlights were.

E3 is almost upon us and Dan and Dave just can't wait. They break down their predictions as well as hear from some special guests from the Gaming Podcast Alliance. Also, a little game called Death Stranding got some bombshell news. We got a release date and a brand new trailer with gameplay footage and a peak at what this whole crazy world is about. It's Memorial Day weekend and Dan and Dave talk their weekend fun, Sonic and Terminator movie news and their weekly pickups. In the news, PS5 performance footage leaks, we get some Mario Kart Tour news and Activision gets confusing with the latest entry into the Call of Duty franchise. We learn this week that Microsoft and Sony are joining forces. Not to build a super massive game console but the tools for an online streaming infrastructure based on Microsoft's cloud technology. Rated G gets into what all this means. Also in the news, Nintendo drops a massive direct on Mario Maker 2, we get more games confirmed for the Genesis Mini and ex-Naughty Dog devs are working on the next Call of Duty games. At the top of the show, Mother's Day stories, pickup talk and some slight spoiler talk as Spiderman and IT trailers drop this last week. In the news, Sony has their State of Play and they close the presentation with the ultimate mic drop moment, Final Fantasy VII remake game footage. One half of Rated G goes bananas. A 3 hour epic journey that nicely ties up all 20 some odd movies. Dan and Dave break down the movie and give their thoughts and impressions. They may even shed a tear or two.

Someone should of told the company producing the Sonic movie that the 3D model looked a little off. We got the Sonic movie trailer this last week and the internet exploded with negativity. So much so that the director took to social media to claim that they were going to redo the CG. Will it help this troubled mascot, we discuss. Also in the news, a new Earthworm Jim game is coming but to a very unlikely console, Mario Kart, Mortal Kombat and others get inducted to the Video Game Hall of Fame and we learn that Dan has never played Solitaire before!!! A revelation indeed. And we round out our show with podcaster and games journalist Matt Adler. We talk Katana Zero and Days Gone and what the future holds for Playstation.

Mortal Kombat, a franchise that always seems to be in the middle of a controversy, is back in the limelight again over excessivemicrotransactions and an ending cinematic for Jax that some fans are pretty sour on. We get Persona 5 DLC news and another spinoff in the form of a musou style game for both PS4 and Switch, Shuntaro Furukawa denies any new Switch version for E3 and Tim Sweeny, CEO of Epic Games takes some shots at the Steam Store. Prince Harry calls to ban Fortnite because it's highly addictive, IGN fools folks with a hilarious April Fool's prank, we get some insight on why Anthem had a failed launch and Mike Tyson thinks he has a new boxing game.
