Boy do we have a good one this week folks! Valve announces a new game... and it's fricken' Half-Life... and in VR!!! We here at Rated G as well as the internet are suitably excited. Also, Dan and Dave get into everything Game Awards. From the nominees, to the controversy and who they think will take the crown. All that and more on episode 194 of Rated G for Gamers.

With Death Stranding hitting wildly all over the review scales, Kojima speaks out against American's love of First Person Shooters. The internet, of course, has opinions and Rated G gives their take on the whole situation. Arguably the biggest game release of the year dropped this past Friday, the new Hideo Kojima epic Death Stranding. As polarizing reviews come in, Dan and Dave give their take on this wildly indescribable game. With only a few hours under their belt, they certainly are floored by the story and visuals. In other news, Horizon Zero Dawn 2 possibly leaked via suspicious game dev job listing, Pokémon Sword and Shield leaker revealed and Hermen Hulst from Guerilla Games takes over Sony Worldwide Studios.

BlizzCon happened over Halloween and that weekend and boy did we get some bombshells. New Hearthstone content, new WoW expansion, Overwatch 2! and Diablo IV!!! What a turn around news wise since last year. We also got an apology for the Hearthstone incident. Also in the news, PS4 hits 100 million and another fake swatting attempt happened during a Fortnite livestream.

As we head into the holiday season, so many delays for upcoming games were announced. UbiSoft and Naughty Dog put the breaks on the the Last of Us 2, Watch Dogs Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine, and Gods and Monsters. Rated G discusses why that is a good thing and what it means for the games and these studios. Also in the news, Fallout 76 goes premium membership, Microsoft re-confirms all Xbox One controllers will work with Project Scarlett and we may just have gotten a Diablo 4 leak via an online sale listing.

We know the PS5 and Xbox Scarlett are coming next year and this week we get someone who's seen the systems in action and is quoted as saying they've seen nothing like it before. Better than Red Dead 2. Better than the Last of Us 2. Rated G is even more excited than ever. Next holiday season is going to be a good one. Oh boy did E3 come out with some wild news. In an effort to stay relevant, the ESA put out an announcement about E3 2020 being all about influencers, fans and media. Whatever that means. We got a special one today folks. Dan's on vacation right now so we decided to do a episode about our most anticipated holiday games. Join us as we break down our favorites for the 2019 holiday season.

We got some Gears 5 news at top of the show as well as the new Bad Boys trailer, some 14 years after the last entry. We are reasonably hype. In the news, Nintendo does it's usual thing and drops a new Direct. They confirm some leaks, drop some new stuff the day of and somehow, someway still manage to surprise us a bit. Also there's a new Nintendo peripheral in town and Reggie Fils-Amis goes back to school.

One half of Rated G is over the moon this week. Telltale Games is being revived... in name only though. Dan and Dave speculate on what they will develop next. Ninja gets a line of Adidas street wear, Capcom teases retro remakes and the Lion King and Aladdin come to modern consoles in a mega retro collection. At the top of the show, Dan and Dave reminisce over 4 years of Rated G. Sony news heats up as it adds developer Insomniac Games into the fold. Is a new Sunset Overdrive on the horizon??? The Intellivision Amico wants to bring back gaming back to the living room, $100K stolen rare games from retro store, and several Game Informer staff laid off to reduce costs For GameStop. Spiderman falls out of the MCU when Sony and Disney can't strike a deal and Disney reveals streaming specs and new shows coming to Disney+. Finally, Dan goes all conspiracy theory over a tweet from Nintendo. 

We got details on Sony's latest console, speculated name PS5, in way of a launch event! Coming next February is an event that will most like unveil the PS5 and details on the launch date, features and some killer hype train trailers. Microsoft patents a controller that strangely resembles joycons, Nintendo DMCAs a ton of music on YouTube and Bubble Bobble comes to the Switch with 4-player action. All that and Dave has a travel tale that thankfully ends him back home safe and sound.

In the wake of recent shootings here in America, politician and pundits are pointing fingers at video games again as a reason for spurring these tragedies. Rated G discusses that, the role game developers and creators play and some news about Walmart and their reaction to recent events. Also in the news, #1 Twitch stream Ninja leaves for Microsoft platform Mixer, the Sacred Symbols podcast gets into some controversy with Pax Prime and a sealed Nintendo game goes for big money at auction. In gaming news, Google Stadia announces roughly one free game per month when the service launches, Toys R' Us and Gamestop are looking to revamp their stores and passengers on one lucky Southwest flight got free Nintendo Switches and Mario Maker 2.
