Continuing with the life of Samson, we see him doing the same thing many of us have done ... flirting with disaster! We look at how God is using us and determine that our disobedience isn't important. At the end, we look at the difference between God's mercy, His grace, and His favor. See what you think!

After finishing up with Jephthah, we move on to the birth of Samson. Samson's problems in life came about because of a problem with his parents view of him, and the lack of balance between character and anointing.

The first Judges for Israel are not the most well know, but give us plenty to learn from. One example is how long it takes for the cries of God's people to be "heard" compared to how quickly faith is. There is a big difference between cries and faith ... do you know what it is?

In Judges Ch.2, we look at the passing of a great generation and the rise of a new one. Why do some characteristics seem to dominate a generation? How did a one that was so strong precede one so weak? When a weak generation arises, is it the fault of those before who did not teach them, or can it be something else?

Judges opens with a description of an incomplete conquest of the promised land ... What caused this? There are four parts to achieving the victory in our lives that God has declared is ours. How are you doing in these?

What force did Jesus go into battle with? The disciples looked at the two swords they had, but Jesus had a very different perspective. The force that came against Jesus was unusually large just to arrest one man. Very often, we focus on what is against us and what we see that we have on our side, and miss what we are to go into battle with.

We looked at what it is to “take up your cross” as Jesus gave command to do on several occasions. What most people call “carrying their cross” is not what Jesus intended, so to see what He meant we looked at what happened when He carried His cross and applied it to our life.

Before Joshua life on earth ends, he addresses first the leaders of Israel and then the people. What would your last words be if you were Joshua?

With the war over, the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and the half the tribe of Manasseh were praised, blessed, and sent home across the Jordan. On the way they stopped to building something that almost began a civil war. The way this issue grew so big is a great lesson for our own life conflicts!

Why is so much time spent going over the divisions of the land of Israel? The reasons may surprise you. And they actually impact the way you live the Christian life!

After a big victory over the five kings, Israel finds an even bigger multitude coming after them now. Have you ever thought you deserve a rest after a big victory over the enemy? Why is it we don't always get one?

Joshua and Israel take on the large multitude from the five kings that banded together. We look at the battle and Joshua's prayer to have the moon and sun stand still.
