Word Of The Bay

The guys talk again about booing the return of Marty St. Louis. Kyle feels that all should be forgiven after one game. Jonathan draws comparison to the depature of Brett Farve. They talk the ODJ catch and the greatest catches of all time. Jonathan has a bone to pick with the NFL playoff system and the possiblity of the Bucs making it over the Pack. The guys talk about the Rays manager canidates and the pitching rotation.  

Jonathan, Nick, and Kyle talk about finishing dopple avenue hurt. Nick and Kyle talk Lightning hockey. Kyle talks about his concerns with the defensive lines and Nabokov's disappointing start. Has the defense actually improved? Both ponder the return of Marty St. Louis. The guys talk more Joe Maddon, Montreal rumors, and Kyle explains ones again why the Rays are not leaving Tampa Bay. Jonathan returns to the podcast at long last. He gives his outsider take on the Buccaneers recent struggles. The guys all outline the various problems with the Buccaneer's season. The guys talk various topics about week 9 in the NFL. After the break the guys launch into Rays talk, Joe Maddon, and the future of the franchise. 

On this episode Nick, and Kyle (Kyle and Nick) talk about the shining hope of the Bay-Area. The Tampa Bay Lightning, and their recent successes. Kyle does not care about sloppy wins, Nick is in love with Anton Stralman. The guys go into the weekly lament about the Buccaneers, as they discuss their recent loss to the Browns. They touch on the draft, Winston and who place could be placed upon for their struggles. Joe Maddon then runs off with the Cubs and the guys are pissed. Join us! 

Nick and Kyle are joined by Chris Davis to talk about the tragic week of sports in Tampa. The guys rip the scab off quickly and talk about Joe Maddon's opt out. The three all express their feelings t'word Joe. Some are more bitter than others (Kyle.) The three shift into football to talk Jameis Winston, the Buccaneers, and Mark Barron. The podcast ends with discussion of moving the Rays to Montreal.

Nick and Kyle go it alone once more as they talk about the Lightning's recent stint of injuries. Both guys go over the last few games as they talk about the defesive line sitatuon and Ben Bishop's season so far. Kyle shifts gears as they talk about Friedman's depature from the Rays, and what it could mean for their  future. Finally both guys talk Vincent Jackson trade rumors, patience with Lovie, and preview the game versus the Vikings. 

Nick and Kyle take it back to the old school cause they're old fools who're so cool. But seriously, Nick and Kyle go it alone this time as they rejoice over The Lightnings good start to the season. Kyle asks Nick about the biggest surpises thus far in the season. The Buccaneer's loss to the Ravens is also discussed in great detail. Both guys ask, how to we fix this? 

Jonathan sits this one out as Nick, and Kyle are joined by a gang of hockey fans. Ricky, James, and Jason join the boys as they devote an entire podcast to the great game of hockey. Join them as they reminisce about the old days of the Lightning. They talk about Stevey Y's impact on the team and its farm system. Martin St. Louis, last years playoffs and our expectations for next season are also discussed on an hockey-ful podcast! 

The guys start the podcast by talking (and guessing) net worth. Nick goes over a few of the more exciting moments of week 3 in the NFL. Jonthan talks about the week 3 Packers loss to the Lions. A debate regarding advancing the football ensues. Kyle gets emotional about the Buccaneers loss to the Falcons, and outlines why the team is so bad. Wally Backman, Teddy Bridgewater, and Jameis Winton's game-day wardrobe also discussed.  

Kyle, Nick, and Jonathan are joined on this episode by their friend Ricky. The trio discuss weeks 1&2 of the NFL and the Green Bay Packets narrow win. Kyle belives the Bucs aren't as bad as they seem (boy is he wrong.) The guys talk about the NFL's off the field issues, up to and including Ray Rice. This lauches into a discussion of the general culture around the NFL and domestic violence. Kyle speaks breifly about the new NFL's drug policy. 

The "Rays Suck" segment is offically put to rest as they determine this year that the Rays do indeed suck. Jonathan has a list of his top 10 QBs of all time, thus rounding out WoTBs top 10 QBs of all time. Debate ensues. Rodger Goodell's salary, Green Bay's loss to Seattle, and the NFLs new drug policy are all discussed.  

Jonathan, Nick, and Kyle have a loaded episode of sports topics to cover. They all determine that the Rays do indeed suck this week. The guys talk Sam Bradfords injury and what it means for the Rams. Kyle has his 10 greatest QBs of all time. Jonathan and Kyle talk about ESPN's coverage of the St. Louis Rams locker room. The guys then talk about the NFLs new discipline policy. 

Nick, Jonathan, and Kyle begin the podcast by floating from raunchy topics to Robin Williams to baseball. The guys once again declare that the Rays do in fact suck this year, and Jonathan is ready to put this season to bed entirely. Nick has his top 10 QB list and Jonathan and Kyle proceed to tear it completly apart. The guys then do their word segment and breakdown the NFC East, as only fans of different divisons can do. 

Jonathan, Nick, and Kyle start things off by talking about drinking excess, instead of actually drinking in excess. Kyle gets passionate about Joe Maddon's recent comments regarding the Rays and Yankees series. Kyle yells. The guys all determine that the Rays do actually suck. Nick talks penalties in football, the guys all agree the game has become too regulated. Kyle talks about the recent 100 million dollar contracts offered to QBs. Jonathan ponder's baseball first female pitcher, and women in sports in general. The guys then all breakdown the NFC south. 

The boys are back this week with an all new Word of the Bay with special guest Tony Nagy. Kyle flies by the seat of his pants as Jonathan discusses the politics of John Elways Top 6 QB's of all time. Nick contributes by discussing the over analyzation that is being spit from the lips of the talking heads on the dreaded 4 letter network: E##N. Tony talks basketball and UFC (which Jonathan clearly knows nothing about), and the gang goes over what to expect from the upcoming NFL season with a spirited breakdown of the NFC North.

Nick, Jonathan, and Kyle pratice the talking cure as the discuss the David Price trade. Kyle asks about three players eligible for the next NFL Hall Of Fame class. The guys also talk NFL traning camp, and the high and mighty umpire.

Nick and Kyle are joined this week by John from Sharkdropper, and their good friend Ricky Lehner as they talk about the world of sports. Kyle starts things off by posing the oft-debated question reguarding the Redskins to Ricky. Nick and Kyle ask the question, Do the Rays Suck? Which gets side-tracked with some football talk. The four of them touch on the hot topics of the week: Tony Dungy's comments on Micheal Sam and Ray Rice's 2 game suspension. 

Kyle returns to the podcast after a week off, and he has a bone to pick about Jose Molina. He also takes some time to address a few things regarding the upcoming NFL season. The guys talk a little Rays baseball and establish that the Rays have ruined their new feature: "Do The Rays Suck?" Kyle talks about a Boston writer that can't shut-up about the Rays attendance. Jonathan and Nick debate Kyle on weather playing the game means you have to be a fan of the game. Nick and Jonathan attempt to guess the top 10 clutch NFL QBs. 

John co hosts with Nick and Jonathan. Nick talks about St. Louis's interest in Molia - John goes on about the recent LeBron James news and its effect on the NBA. Jonathan talks of the importance of the Orioles in the legendary (to us) game 162 of the 2011 season. 

Nick, Jonathan and Kyle kick the podcast off by talking a little World Cup soccer, this leads into a general discussion about sports. Kyle points out that the Rays recent successes can be atributed to this very podcast. Kyle runs down his list of 5 Buccaneers that need to step up next season. Nick is cautiously optimistic about the Lightning. Jonathan is torn between trading David Price and not trading David Price. Alas, no game this week, sad face.
