In the final episode (maybe?) of the 2022 season, D-Fly and Dixie salute the Maryland Terrapins and give some well-deserved, heartfelt props to their archrival. Ugh. They dive into Championship Weekend and the positives and negatives of Hartford as a host city. In this conversation they talk about the benefits of Hartford, how to weather a storm delay, and the food options of beautiful Hartford.  The guys also debate the final Inside Lacrosse Top 20 of the season, do not talk about next season, salute Tewaaraton winner Logan Wisnauskas, and then get into a Listener Mailbag.  In a music-inspired Give & Go, a reader asks what are the Kid Songs that were sticky.

It happens every year. Seventy-three teams set sail on the journey in February, and only four are left come Memorial Day Weekend. The final four. Two of the challengers return to familiar waters after a long hiatus, finding joy and redemption after a lost season in 2021. One contender is making its maiden voyage to Championship Weekend, sailing in unchartered waters of an unprecedented, breakthrough campaign. And one heavy favorite looks to reach its destiny and drop anchor among the all-time best teams. Starting with news and notes, the guys talk about Hopkins’ new Offensive Coordinator, other coaching news and conference realignment. After discussing the Quarterfinal games and each of the four participants, they preview the Semifinal games on Saturday and wonder if any team can upend Maryland. On a very special episode of the Playing Catchup Podcast, IL's Alyssa Murray Cometti and Maggie Koch interview legendary North Carolina and U.S. Women's National Team soccer player Mia Hamm about the growth of women's sports, her journey as an athlete, being a lacrosse mom and much, much more. Well that wasn't as dramatic as the First Round. On the heels of Maryland's 18-9 win over Virginia in the last of four NCAA Quarterfinal games, IL's Terry Foy and Nick Ossello dive into the games, moving from the Terps to the Tigers, who beat Yale 14-10, to Rutgers' 11-9 win over Penn and finishing with Cornell's 10-8 win over Delaware.

On the eve of Quarterfinal Weekend, D-Fly & Dixie sit down with IL contributor and author of We Showed Baltimore, Christian Swezey, to break down the four titanic matchups. They finish with their Quarterfinal predictions as this coming Thursday promises to be another great day of action.

IL's Terry Foy and Nick Ossello are back to unpack the first round of the NCAA Tournament, starting with the Delaware Blue Hens' shocking upset over Georgetown. They then go through each of the weekend's games, starting with Princeton's defensive lockdown of BU, Penn's Sam Handley reliance, Yale-Saint Joe's unbridled playmaking, the electric atmosphere at Brown-UVA, Luke Wierman's improvement on display in Maryland's win over Vermont, Gavin Adler's production despite his assignment in Cornell's win over Ohio State and Rutgers' offensive explosion vs. Harvard. They end with Nick saying many, many nice things about the NCAA selection committee.

This week, D-Fly & Dixie present your guide for the first round of the NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Tournament, one of our favorite episodes of the year. Definitely the longest. In the midst of a season in which they’ve clearly been “ahead of schedule,” Harvard assistants Neil Hutchinson and Will Corrigan join Peet Poillon and Matt Bocklet to discuss the Crimson’s season, working for Gerry Byrne, fitting into the culture in Cambridge and life in Boston.

Five teams competed at the first women's edition of the annual European Box Lacrosse Invitational. The event is commonly called EBox, so the women's version has taken the nickname SheBox. The tournament was the first opportunity for women in Europe to play box lacrosse, which will have a women's world championship for the first time in 2024. This week on LaxBeat, host Stephen Stamp has conversations with five participants in the inaugural SheBox, which was universally acclaimed as a huge success. Lizzie Bottrill is from England, where she has been part of the national development field lacrosse team, and was one of three English women to play for Prague Sports at SheBox.  Becky Moloney has been a goalie for Ireland's field team and is a driver of the sport in the nation.
