Around this time every year, dozens of parents of high school prospects ask IL's Terry Foy some version of the question, "How does recruiting work?" In an effort to round out that answer, he's interviewing a series of DI men's lacrosse coaches about their process, starting with Navy head coach Joe Amplo. Given the service academy's ability to begin contacting prospective student-athletes on July 1 (as opposed to Sept. 1, like the rest of his colleagues) and his commitments to Team USA in June, Amplo had a unique summer. He talks about his staff's composition, distribution of responsibility and style of evaluating.

On the eve of the NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Panel's ruling on the Men's Lacrosse Rules Committee's proposal from June, committee member and VMI head coach James Purpura joins IL's Terry Foy to discuss how the committee made the decisions it did regarding replay review and what may come next.

It's been six weeks since IL's Terry Foy and Nick Ossello turned on the microphones, and they're back with an unusual topic (spurred by recent events on Twitter): the fraught nature of breaking lacrosse news. A part on Inside Lacrosse media strategy and a short-lived dabble for Ossello, the duo discusses what they think is the appropriate approach to breaking news. They then pivot to recapping the 2023 World Lacrosse Men's Championship, where Ossello called 19 games and Foy was on-site for seven days. They discuss the U.S. gold medal win over Canada, Austin Staats' star turn, the Japanese team's emergence as a medal contender and an ugly moment at the end of the Japan-England game.

On the eve of the beginning of the 2023 World Lacrosse Men's Championship, IL's Matt Kinnear, Kevin Brown and Terry Foy discuss the overriding storyline — what to expect from the United States vs. Canada. The action begins June 21 at 7 p.m. PT, and the question that guides the conversation: Is Canada the favorite? In addition to diving deep into the Americans vs. the Canucks, they analyze the Haudenosaunee, then isolate the meat of the tournament field, including Australia, England, Japan, Israel, Germany, the Czech Republic, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, Italy and more.

Kap and Caleb return to IL headquarters for a final episode of the 2023 season. The guys caught the NCAA Championship Game in person and had a ton of fun recapping it all. They also get a surprise caller and hit on the final Top 20 of the 2023 season.

What though the odds be great or small… IL's Terry Foy and Nick Ossello recap an incredible celebration of college lacrosse, capped by Notre Dame's 13-9 win over Duke in Monday's national championship game. They discuss the four main factors that led to ND's win — goalie play, face-offs, complimentary scoring and lockdown on-ball defense — and discuss what the first win in program history means for coach Kevin Corrigan, the alums whose teams got so close and the guys on this roster. They also harken back to Saturday to discuss the crease violation that wasn't called in Duke's semifinal win over Penn State and how the Irish came back to beat Virginia in OT.

From there, Nick explains why he thought Virginia's win over Georgetown was the most end-to-end exciting game of the weekend, then they quickly assess what Duke's win over Michigan means for their Semifinal matchup vs. Penn State.

With the Rounds of 32 and 16 in the books, it turns to the weekend ahead of back-to-back quarterfinals and semifinals. The guys gathered to chat through it all, setting the table for a huge weekend. IL's Terry Foy and Nick "Not Old Enough to Be a WWII Guy Yet" Ossello discuss an action-packed First Round of the NCAA Tournament, starting with Army's incredible win over Maryland on Saturday night. From there, they go deep in on Penn State's switch to a zone defense and how it stymied Princeton's fast start en route to another one-goal win. Then, it's the complete opposite — a track meet in D.C. where Georgetown emerged 19-17 victors over Yale. Stick with America's sweetheart — Michigan — and their dramatic OT win over Cornell on Sunday afternoon, then dive into how Duke overcame the job Owen Grant did covering Brennan O'Neill to wrap up the summary of the weekend's most compelling games.
