Say HiTrue freedom is found only in Jesus and the freedom offered by Jesus is spiritual. His freedom supersedes political revolution. Your circumstance does not influence the freedom Jesus can offer you. Saul was on his way to Damascus when he met his freedom in Jesus. The prodigal son was in a pig pen. The first hindrance to consider is IGNORANCE: whoever lacks the knowledge of Jesus Christ is “living in darkness” and Jesus came to give us light. Those in Christ shall not stumble because the light shines for them. The second is ARROGANCE: In John 8:33, the Pharisees showed their arrogance by saying to Jesus that they have never been slaves to anyone. As at the time they spoke, they were under the Roman slavery apart from the Assyrians, Babylonians and Persians. Say HiA fatal form of recession that can happen to any nation or individual is not economic recession but spiritual recession. God does not measure our present spiritual state by our past spiritual activities or what we have accomplished for Him. A believer’s relationship with the Lord is not a function of ‘past tense’ but a matter of ‘present continuous tense’. The question now is, have you made any significant progress in your spiritual life so far this year? Or you have diminuendo—on spiritual recession? What specific testimony do you have about the Lord’s work in your life, pertaining to your PSG (Personal Spiritual Growth) in the last six months? With the help of God, you can still end this year on a note of victory, if you will surrender to Him.

Say Hi“The Lord is my shepherd” as we often recite is a confession of our complete trust in the Lord by expressing our complete dependence in His abilities to take care of us. As a matter of fact, it is an indication of our total commitment to His leadership, guidance, providence and direction. The sheep is open to attack unless it is secured by the guidance of a shepherd. The shepherd knows what is good for the sheep, all that is required of the sheep is just to follow.

Say HiGod is always looking out for people He can depend on and find trust worthy to entrust the riches of His grace into their care. He is in constant search of ready men (not ready made men) that He can equip and use. For everyone that will come into God’s service there are specific demands that are necessary and fundamental for us to function in the King’s Court. There is a user’s manual that must be strictly adhered to if the machine will last, so if we must last in God’s hand then we must master His plan for our lives. Our challenge this morning is that as God’s workman we must deliberate pay attention to the demands placed on us as His servants, so that we can be qualified to continually offer to Him acceptable services in His vine yard.

Say HiIn life, self examination is needed so that one can check himself and make amends where necessary before people around us are given any chance to criticize us. If you were given the opportunity to give an account of your work for the Lord this year 2016 which is our “year of deliberate witnessing,” how well have you done? Let us bear in mind that the Bible enjoins us that each one of us will stand before the judgment throne to give account of our stewardship as to what we have done with our lives. (Romans 14:12). The Book of Ecclesiastes 12:14 even goes further that “God will bring every work into judgment including every secret thing, whether good or evil"

Say HiThe Lord has laid upon us a vital ministry till He comes back to take us home. In John 21:15ff, Jesus entrusted the task of feeding His lambs, tending His sheep and feeding His sheep to us. We cannot do anything less if we are to show our obedience to our Lord and Saviour. Also in Matthew 28:18-20, the great commission makes us to realize that we must make disciples for Christ in all the world and His presence is promised us till the end of the age. Acts 1:8 likewise promised us the power needed for this great task and the Spirit of God is still with His church. We are to preach till Jesus comes back to take us or calls us home because of the following reasons:1.Many people are still without Christ in our world. We must continue to persuade them until the rapture takes place just like Noah did until the flood came and repentance was too late.2.Some are in the church but they are not truly saved.
