  • Freed To Enjoy Life In Abundance

    30/10/2016 Duración: 42min

Say HiTrue freedom is found only in Jesus and the freedom offered by Jesus is spiritual. His freedom supersedes political revolution. Your circumstance does not influence the freedom Jesus can offer you. Saul was on his way to Damascus when he met his freedom in Jesus. The prodigal son was in a pig pen. The Samaritan woman met her freedom at the well. A thief was on the cross of execution when Jesus set him free. The first hindrance to consider is IGNORANCE: whoever lacks the knowledge of Jesus Christ is “living in darkness” and Jesus came to give us light. Those in Christ shall not stumble because the light shines for them. The second is ARROGANCE: In John 8:33, the Pharisees showed their arrogance by saying to Jesus that they have never been slaves to anyone. As at the time they spoke, they were under the Roman slavery apart from the Assyrians, Babylonians and Persians. By this they rejected Jesus’ offer of freedom.Another hindrance is RELUCTANCE: Some believe in the teachings of Jesus but are not willing t

  • JESUS CHRIST is the Door to Discipleship

    23/10/2016 Duración: 26min

Say HiI am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.John 10.9. He opens my mind and heart to LISTEN and LEARN; to receive eternal and full life that only exists in Christ Jesus!Stott presents the concept of mindless Christianity, that is a result of the church emphasizing its practices in 3 distinct areas:the RITUAL, in which religious ceremony is an end in itselfSOCIAL ACTIVISM, in which the only concern are matters connected to hunger and violence; and…EXPERIENCE, in which the metaphysical experience tramplesThis outlook is ideal for mindless Christianity to flourish. Because they cannot understand biblical truth and Christian thought, they lack the character and mind of Christ. The church must be committed to “LISTENING AND LEARNING” the Christian message.“When you create a culture to deal with these painful issues of trust openly, with sincerity and honesty, you begin to see two things. First, you will hear more and more stories of wounds like this t

  • Christians' Attitude in Worship

    19/10/2016 Duración: 46min

Say HiTopic: Christians Attitude in WorshipText: John 4:23-24IntroductionIt is often said that “Our attitude determines our altitude”. It doesn’t matter how talented, skilful, educated a man is, if he has wrong attitude, he cannot go far. A definition says, ATTITUDE is a manner of showing one’s inward thoughts and feelings.“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7). Attitude is our action. It is how we respond to our environment.Cain & AbelGenesis 4:3-5, shows us that our attitude cannot be separated from our person, “And the Lord respected Abel and his offering” (v.5).Attitude of JesusYour attitude should be the same as that of Jesus…. (Philippians 2:5-8). When we have the wrong attitude towards worship, our worship becomes unacceptable to God.From the passage we read (John 4:24);*God has expectations as far as worship is concerned (v.23)*His expectations must be strictly adhered to (v.24) if our worship will be acceptableWhat is Worship?Looking at the etymology of the word “Worship”, it

  • HELP, OUT OF SPIRITUAL RECESSION

    16/10/2016 Duración: 36min

Say HiA fatal form of recession that can happen to any nation or individual is not economic recession but spiritual recession. God does not measure our present spiritual state by our past spiritual activities or what we have accomplished for Him. A believer’s relationship with the Lord is not a function of ‘past tense’ but a matter of ‘present continuous tense’. The question now is, have you made any significant progress in your spiritual life so far this year? Or you have diminuendo—on spiritual recession? What specific testimony do you have about the Lord’s work in your life, pertaining to your PSG (Personal Spiritual Growth) in the last six months? With the help of God, you can still end this year on a note of victory, if you will surrender to Him.

  • The Lord is My Shepherd

    12/10/2016 Duración: 37min

Say Hi“The Lord is my shepherd” as we often recite is a confession of our complete trust in the Lord by expressing our complete dependence in His abilities to take care of us. As a matter of fact, it is an indication of our total commitment to His leadership, guidance, providence and direction. The sheep is open to attack unless it is secured by the guidance of a shepherd. The shepherd knows what is good for the sheep, all that is required of the sheep is just to follow.

  • God’s Expectation for Christian Service

    09/10/2016 Duración: 37min

Say HiGod is always looking out for people He can depend on and find trust worthy to entrust the riches of His grace into their care. He is in constant search of ready men (not ready made men) that He can equip and use. For everyone that will come into God’s service there are specific demands that are necessary and fundamental for us to function in the King’s Court. There is a user’s manual that must be strictly adhered to if the machine will last, so if we must last in God’s hand then we must master His plan for our lives. Our challenge this morning is that as God’s workman we must deliberate pay attention to the demands placed on us as His servants, so that we can be qualified to continually offer to Him acceptable services in His vine yard.

  • Towards a Peaceful Christian Home

    02/10/2016 Duración: 01h12min

Say HiMarriage was not man’s idea, but God’s idea and it is the oldest institution on earth. In our world today, marital values are being eroded and many families are filled with tension. Everything that is happening today is a reflection of what has gone wrong in families. As Christians, we cannot pretend as if everything is alright. God is calling us to go back to the basics and seek His face so that He can lead us towards a peaceful Christian home. Jesus in any home makes a whole lot of difference, without Him leading and taking control, man’s efforts will amount to nothing

  • More Yet to Be Done

    28/08/2016 Duración: 33min

Say HiIn life, self examination is needed so that one can check himself and make amends where necessary before people around us are given any chance to criticize us. If you were given the opportunity to give an account of your work for the Lord this year 2016 which is our “year of deliberate witnessing,” how well have you done? Let us bear in mind that the Bible enjoins us that each one of us will stand before the judgment throne to give account of our stewardship as to what we have done with our lives. (Romans 14:12). The Book of Ecclesiastes 12:14 even goes further that “God will bring every work into judgment including every secret thing, whether good or evil"

  • Sow the Seed

    21/08/2016 Duración: 18min

Say HiThe Lord has laid upon us a vital ministry till He comes back to take us home. In John 21:15ff, Jesus entrusted the task of feeding His lambs, tending His sheep and feeding His sheep to us. We cannot do anything less if we are to show our obedience to our Lord and Saviour. Also in Matthew 28:18-20, the great commission makes us to realize that we must make disciples for Christ in all the world and His presence is promised us till the end of the age. Acts 1:8 likewise promised us the power needed for this great task and the Spirit of God is still with His church. We are to preach till Jesus comes back to take us or calls us home because of the following reasons:1.Many people are still without Christ in our world. We must continue to persuade them until the rapture takes place just like Noah did until the flood came and repentance was too late.2.Some are in the church but they are not truly saved. These are the lambs that must be fed to maturity. We must continue to disciple them.3.We are all human and ha

  • Give God First Not the Left Over

    14/08/2016 Duración: 27min

Say HiGIVING GOD WHAT IS RIGHT NOT WHAT IS LEFTIt is good we remind ourselves of God’s standard as we relate with Him especially during these hard times of austerity measures. God is still our provider and He always gives His children the good and perfect gifts (James 1:17). There is no gift that can be better than that which God has offered to the world when we did not deserve it in the person of Jesus, His only begotten son.In the Old Testament, the Psalmist expressed the wonderful gift of God to us (Ps 84:11) – “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” But the greatest was given to mankind in the New Testament and Paul expressed it in Romans 8:32. “He who did not withhold or spare (even) His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all (other) things?”(Amplified version). It, therefore, behooves us to give God our best not our left over because He deserves nothin
