Did you know there are many women in the New Testament who led and ministered in powerful ways? It's true! And interestingly, their ministries often seem to be in direct conflict with a universal understanding of 1 Corinthians 14 and 1 Timothy 2. In the second part of this week's discussion, we tell the stories of Phoebe (called a deacon of the church in Cenchrea) and Junia, called an "outstanding apostle" by Paul in Romans 16. Additionally, we examine the questions they raise regarding female leadership and ministry in the 21st century.
