Stadium Wi-Fi aims to deliver an exceptional and seamless experience to tens of thousands of fans, who often push the Wi-Fi deployment to its limits. While previously, performance was enhanced through software, Cisco’s design team took a different approach. They went back to the basics and reworked the antennas. Ultimately, this led to tightening the beam width and reducing side lobes to make the unit software configurable and steerable. This made it possible to increase the distance between the AP and the device.
