Zero Waste starts with good design, obviously. So we sat in the hallway of a design college and started talking. There is a lot to learn from Joan Marc’s journey in economics, lobbying, advocacy and activism. Catching him on his last day of vacation was a great way to take perspective on his career so far and on what's next. His organisation Zero Waste Europe has achieved a lot and made a meaningful contribution to how cities will manage their material streams from now on.
