With spirited vocals, hard-hitting, soul sampled beats and his political opinion about the music industry, Chicago’s Calez introduced himself to the scene in 2012 with debut mixtape “Kid With Raps” about his passion for success. After moving out of a homeless shelter with his family, Calez wrote his first raps at age 11 that would further lead him to his first studio session at age 13. While introducing former crew 2008ighties/Brkf$t Club, “Kid With Raps” attracted attention on major blogosphere such as Complex, 2dopeboyz and would also land him in Chicago’s publications The Reader and Redeye.
