This is Uhuru Rowe speaking to you live on Prison Radio from Sussex 2 State Prison. Today I want to talk to you about a crisis that is happening behind the walls at Sussex 2 State Prison. When I say crisis, I'm talking about the more than 12 preventable deaths of incarcerated citizens here, Sussex 2 State Prison, that has gone unreported in the media and has not been investigated by the state. To explain just how preventable most of these deaths could have been, I want to highlight the caseload. Um, a friend of mine named John Tran, who was within two years of going home to his son, whom he always talked about with the twinkle in his eye, unbeknownst to Tran, that's what we called him here, he would never get to see his son again on the other side of these prison walls. That's because on January 11th, 2017, he was beaten to death during what many say was an hour-long confrontation with a cellmate.
