This week, the story is about a visual world, largely first brought to life by production designer John Barry, who cut his teeth working with legends like Liz Taylor and Clint Eastwood, before being hired by Stanley Kubrick to run the set design of A Clockwork Orange. Shortly after, he did Star Wars A New Hope, for which he won the Academy Award for Art Direction. He set a practical but realistic visual tone that has been adapted and built upon for every successful SW installment subsequently.
