In today’s episode, I sit down and chat with my friend and former client, Stu Smith. A fantastic designer and creative entrepreneur, working at Trello and based out of Austin, Texas with his wife (YellowBess), kids, and their dogs. During our interview we talk about a range of different topics from Stu’s college experience, us working together while he was at Able Lending and now his side hustles he’s been up to with his wife. One common misconception is that if you go to college and want to become a designer (or go into any other creative profession) you have to get your degree in design. This is completely false. If there were a possibility to go back and redo college, I would have changed my path and gone for marketing or business (like Stu) instead. 2. Take Risks in Your Career. Especially if you're early in your career, take a risk. Take that job across the country or even in another cou
