Ross Rodger: Radically Submitted We judge photos by how good we look in them. We judge arguments or confrontations by how smart we sounded and how well we came out of them. We judge days, or first dates, or church events by how happy or satisfied they left us feeling. Because we’re so self centred and subjective in our happiness we tend not to trust anyone else with being in charge of it. We resist the idea of submitting to others, not just because that might imply that they are better than us, but also because we just don’t believe they can be better than us at ensuring our happiness… yet Jesus, not only the best human that ever lived, but arguably the happiest, voluntarily surrendered His will to someone else. Why?
