Paul Taylor: What is a Courageous Community and why do I need one? When Jesus decided to change the world, he chose twelve people to do life with and designated them apostles. The plan was that they would be with Him, and that He might send them out. Jesus knew what we often forget, life change happens best in community; That’s where character gets shaped, that’s where we learn our purpose, that’s where we learn how to test the voice of God, community is where we get the courage to step into the calling of God. So, from the very beginning, the “Jesus Movement” was a small group movement, a group of disciples that Jesus did life with. This week we are going to explore how God continues to use small groups of people centered on Jesus to heal, shape and send us out into the world for the sake of His mission.
