Magnum PI portrayed the zeitgeist of the 80’s in a particularly progressive way addressing issues like the post-Vietnam trauma as well as living and dwelling in paradise. While in the original Hawaii 5O the progressive architecture of its midcentury time was a main actor the show analyzes what role the built environment played in it.
