Hate Crime Laws

Informações:

Sinopsis

Indiana is one of only five states that does not have hate crime laws in effect, but August will mark the first-ever Indiana Response to Hate Conference. The Bureau of Justice estimates two-thirds of hate crimes go unreported, encompassing incidents from racism to denying the rights of those with disabilities. Our guests to discuss the upcoming conference are Amy Nelson, Executive Director of Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana; Rima Khan Shahid of the Muslim Alliance of Indiana; and Amber O'Haver, with the Indiana Statewide Independent Living Council.
